It is on my bucket list to go there although being stuck on an airplane for 20 hours is a stretch.

Hey Neil;
Yeap I was there for 5 years and when i went over there, I had bought a new 1986 Mustang and had the car shipped to Germany under orders:) That was fun lemme tell you. As far as the t-5 question....here is the answer: The name could not be used in Germany, because it was owned by Krupp, which had manufactured trucks between 1951 and 1964 with the name Mustang. Ford refused to buy the name for about US$10,000 from Krupp at the time. Kreidler, a manufacturer of mopeds, also used the name, so Mustang was sold in Germany as the "T-5" until December 1978.

MrGarabaldihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05768774166065615995noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1444550425694584077.post-33732130128585923782014-01-28T20:37:12.705-05:002014-01-28T20:37:12.705-05:00I remember having the same confusion about this be...I remember having the same confusion about this being a real or fictitious band. I remember the movie ads when I was in college, but I never saw it. Maybe I try to find it on video. BTW, you mentioned "my travels in the Autobahns in my Mustang". I have been wondering about something, and you might know the answer. When the Mustang was first introduced, Ford had to name all Mustangs exported to Germany, T5's, because some truck manufacturer already had the rights to the mane Mustang in Germany. I have seen a 1965 example in person. Looks just like a mustang except says T5. How many years did Ford have to do this? I suppose I could just look it up on the web myself, but I thought that you'd be interested in this, if you didn't already know it.golden geese newshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06456006010918216238noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1444550425694584077.post-52130657925841886902014-01-28T19:04:06.878-05:002014-01-28T19:04:06.878-05:00That one I actually DO remember, and it was a stra...That one I actually DO remember, and it was a strange little movie...
