Monday Music "Eternal Flame" by the Bangles

I am continuing my string of "bugaloo" songs.  This discussion was started in the "Monster Hunter Nation, Hunters Unite", back in December? it is a Facebook group with enthusiast of the ILOH "International Lord of Hate" A.K.A Larry Correia.  We were talking about what song would we use if we looked out of our window or glanced at our security camera and saw this.....

One of the alphabet bois lining up to take down your house...What would be your "Valhalla" song and you would set it up to play as you load up magazines and prepare yourself.
I figured it would scar the alphabet boys if they come busting in and hearing a song that is related good music in the 1980's unlike that crap they listen to now.  What can I say, My humor is warped....just a bit. Next week will be "Separate ways " by Journey,  Now that should really cause some psych evals., hehehe, some poor ATF guy trying to explain the attraction to his mother because an 80's all Girl band singing and crooning a slow song about an eternal flame..., ...but it IS  ATF people you know...

This song came out while I was stationed in Germany, and it to me was an easy singing song to sing to, I use to croon it to the German girls, Yeah it was corny, LOL.  Even now it is a good slow song.  I can switch from Heavy Metal to slow songs....Gotta show 3 dimensions and depth so the girls don't thing we are shallow you know, LOL.

Everything is the third studio album by American pop rock band the Bangles. It was released on October 18, 1988 through Columbia Records.
Just like its predecessor, Everything also produced a US Top 5 hit ("In Your Room"), and a number one single, "Eternal Flame," which became a chart-topper in almost every major chart around the world, among its released singles.
The 2008 reissue CD on the Wounded Birds label (WOU 4056) adds a bonus track: "In Your Room" (12" Remix). Two songs that were recorded for the album but not included were "What I Meant to Say", written by the Peterson sisters and sung by Debbi, which was released as the B-side of "Eternal Flame", as well as "Everything I Wanted", co-written and sung by Susanna Hoffs and released in 1990 on Greatest Hits.
Everything was the Bangles' last album before their nine-year hiatus from 1989 to 1998.

"Eternal Flame" is a ballad and love song by The Bangles from their 1988 album Everything. It became a hit single, when released in 1989, peaking at number one in the charts in nine countries, including Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States. It was written by popular songwriters Billy Steinberg and Tom Kelly and The Bangles' own Susanna Hoffs. With this song and "Walk Like an Egyptian", The Bangles became only the third girl group to score multiple number-ones in the United States, after The Supremes (twelve) and The Shirelles (two).
