Defination of insanity....Doing the same stuff and expecting different results...

Lessee...I recall the 2014 election...y'all know the one that just happened.....the one that the GOP got the senate extended the house GOP members.....Remember this little gem from the elections...

How we conservatives busted our butts to help the Stupid party GOP win the senate, and increase the number of conservative members of the GOP in the house.  One of the biggest complaints we had was the former just reelected speaker of the house of representative.  You know the guy that epitomizes the "establishment GOP" brand.....yep...this guy...

The establishment GOP just basically told everybody outside the beltway that was hoping for change in the course of action of congress actually checking the ambitions of the Ruler of the White House, that they will continue to do the same as before...talk a mean game but fund everything that Obama proposes. ...because they are more interested in keeping their perks and privileges as the elitist rather than run on principle that we elected them to do.  They are hoping that the average American voter is too stupid to realize that and vote for them again in 2016.
I am majorly pissed.....If we wanted socialism lite...we would have voted democrat....they at least are honest in their beliefs in growing the central government at the expense of freedom.  The Establishment GOP are doubling down on stupid....they will either put up Jeb Bush or Christie against either Hillary or Warren and the GOP will lose....nothing like kissing off another election cycle....The democrats will promise more free stuff to their base and of course they will come to the polls to keep the government largesse's coming, and the conservative side of the country will be disillusioned and cynical and not vote and the democrats will win the presidency again.....If we don't get our fiscal house in order, there won't be crap to pass down to our kids and eventual grand-kids...except of a dream that was the United States of America, the free beacon of the world and it don't exist...except in the old history books and the dreams and beliefs of a shrinking free people.

Election results...Some quick thoughts

Well We survived the 2014 election cycle, and I am glad.   The people have spoken, we used our power to force a change in government.  This shows the wisdom of our founding fathers.   Most other countries would have had riots and the paid lackeys of the ruling junta would have been beating opposition party members.   Here in America, the results were peaceful.  The results are:

President Obama made a quote several weeks ago that stated that " I am not on the ballot, but make no mistake, all of my policies are......"
I am sure that the democratic strategist wanted to fall on their swords after that comment...President Obama just handed the GOP the perfect soundbite to flay him with.  He is very arrogant and hubris rules the Obama White House.

The pollsters were predicting a close one and it wasn't even close.  The vast majority of the voters don't like the direction of the country is going and the President is so ideologically biased he can't change his course. The Democrats I have noticed every election cycle, find some issue to inflame the black community to get them to the polls.

In 2012 it was Zimmerman and Trayvon.  They also have done it in 2010 and 2008.  Every election cycle has one event to keep them fired up and angry.  After the 1994 election when the democrats got their butt handed to them by the retroactive tax increase he pushed through after he got elected,hillery-care and the assault weapons ban.  To maintain power Clinton changes his course and of course got reelected.  Obama will not change..it is all about ideology.
Now the President has stated that despite GOP winning the senate in grand fashion and increasing the house majorities and picking up some governors races.  he is still bound by his beliefs.
We have President Obama still intending to push his amnesty through, he wants to tie another voting group to the democrats, in this case the Hispanic voting block.  They already have the blacks as a monolithic voting block and figure that if they get both those along with a large group of women voters, they will have an unbreakable voting coalition that will guarantee them in power until the cycle of time and the United States becomes a fixture of the past.

I was and am suffering from "election burnout."   The cycle starts to start up earlier and earlier, the politicians will start running for election right after they are sworn in, perhaps sooner.  The 2016 Presidential election will prove interesting, the Democrats will probably go with Hillery, I can see the campaign slogan now "We need to elect a women to fix the mess the men made."  and they will run her.

The democrat party machine  normally have their candidate already lined up to avoid a bruising primary that might dig up a bunch of dirt they normally have a complicit media squelch for them. The only time I saw differently was in 08 when Obama came out of nowhere and bumped Hillery off.  The only reason it was tumultuous was because you have 2 groups inside the party fighting, you had the groups that wanted the first black president vs the group that wanted the first women president.  Remember to a democrat, it is group identity that matters.  the problem is that Hillery has been a fixture since the early 90's and people have Clinton burnout.she has several scandals hung on her and her proclivity for distortion and deception and outright lying is known..so I am expecting a fresh face to make a go.    Just my crystal ball...but it can get hazy.
The GOP on the other hand will have a bunch of candidates to field from and it will be as nasty as the 2012 election cycle was.  The GOP don't work the identity politics like the democrats do so by nature it is more rambunctious.
I am glad that the cycle is over...Now I can watch tv..when I have time....and not see this:

"Picked the wrong Girl" Glock Commercial....and Brain Freeze and other musings

I was trying to pick my brain for something to post,  I am sure that other bloggers have those moments where there is soo much you want to post about but there is a mental dis-connect between the brain and the fingers hovering over the keyboards.  I wanted to continue something with my Hitler and 2nd Amendment thingie that I have been running with and just had "vapor lock".  Well I also wanted to post about the "selfies" that the first Grifter was doing at the funeral of Nelson Mandela.
The recent budget deal that the wimp establishment republicans pushed through that basically kicked sequestration to the curb.  The GOP is afraid that they would get mauled in another budget showdown with the Democrats so they rolled over and let the Democrats steamroller them.  The Democrats I believe were hoping for a budget showdown to get the bad publicity of Obamacare off the news...for a while.
The Election year Democrats are running scared of this election year cycle, because they will have to answer for Obamacare that was passed strictly on a party line vote, there were no GOP votes..Even the RINO's stayed away from this.....Surprisingly.  They were hoping to force a budget fight to get the onus back on the GOP on the runup before the 2014 elections.

Speaking of Obunglercare...Here is a tidbit I got talking to another parent at my sons scout troop.  This person was talking about a  major software upgrade roll out they they are worried about and I commented " as long as your roll out works better than the Obamacare website roll-out , then y'all would be fine."    This person replied that " My company is the one that rolled out the ACA website."   *Oh Snap*   I thought.   I replied " You work for CGI Federal?"   This person nodded in the affirm, I without thinking immediately asked " What happened, was there any test of the system before the roll-out?"  This person replied " there was soo much bureaucratic interference in the program, all these people wanted their input into the product, but then wouldn't make a decision and punted it to another bureaucrat who then shuffled it to another one.  We had no guidance on exactly what they wanted...Just vague *suggestions*.  We were stumbling around trying to do what they asked.  There were no leadership or direction given.  We kept changing the codes, adding things and then removing things....per their many request, but no firm guidance. And they would not change the date of the rollout, political considerations"     I was thinking.*yep, the bureaucrat play...Duck and cover....Don't make a decision...you might be held responsible by those above you and get demoted.*    And people want the government to run your healthcare?

Well I was surfing around looking for something to go with my Hitler and 2nd Amendment thingie...and in a flash of insanity *ahem* brilliance I thought of Glock, they are an Austrian import...As was Hitler...*.Tada!* this fit the *Hitler and 2nd Amendment* thingie I was looking for.  So I was surfing Glock and ran across this video.

"Somebody picked the wrong girl."
You'd think the party that claims to support strong, independent women would love her. OK, no you wouldn't. Because they don't. The party in question loves a woman who knows where to go to get government benefits. A woman like this is doing it all wrong:

It's actually a lot more dramatic and intense than you might have expected. Every time she goes back to the couch (if you are wondering what she is watching, it is the "somebody picked the wrong diner" commercial by Glock and R.Lee Ermey) and sits down, only to hear that ominous knock on the door once again, you're really starting to get concerned that the perp might get in before she's armed and ready.
The first time I watched (spoiler if you haven't already hit play), I was actually expecting her to shoot him dead. Now that would have been attention-getting, but it is a commercial after all, and I don't suppose that's really the association Glock is looking for. It's about protecting yourself, not about killing someone. Granted, without the threat of the latter you can't really do the former, but I do think it's accurate that in the circumstances envisioned here, it would not be necessary to ever pull the trigger the vast majority of the time. The perp is either going to run or put his hands on his head and give up.
A lynchpin of the liberal argument against gun rights is that the average gun-toting citizen is more likely to get shot by his/her own gun than to use in successfully in self-protection. This ad really exposes the thinking that drives that argument. The left simply doesn't believe that a young woman like this could handle herself in the situation depicted. In their minds, there is no way she's pointing the gun at the door when the bad guy gets it open - poised and ready. And that goes for a 40-year-old dad looking to protect his family too. These dopes would just end up getting shot by their own gun, so they're better off not being allowed to own it in the first place. That's the argument. They are better off calling the Police and hope they get there in time.
I will say this: If I'm her, I'm not waiting until the third time I hear the noise to get the gun. The first time I might write it off as something harmless, but the second time I'm getting the Glock. Why does she wait so long? Just for the ad's dramatic effect?  That has been a complaint with all the scary movies that I see...When somebody goes looking for the *bump in the night* they go unarmed.   In the real world, Jason or Freddie would have ate either a few shots of 00 buck or some other form of projectiles.
Anyway, if that's the strongest criticism of the ad (and it would be mine), that's not an anti-gun control argument. It's an argument for getting that thing in your hands sooner.

And here is the "Somebody picked the Wrong Diner" video that a blurp was shown in the preceeding video.
