Some more goings on at Casa De Garabaldi

A few days ago, I was working on the truck, I had to replace the 3rd brake light and redo the seal around the "Halo Surround". 

    

The Old 3rd brake light had crazing and several of the lights no longer functioned...so I replaced it

The New 3rd brake light, looks much better and you can see the seal for the Halo surround on the roof.

I also was asked to run a shotgun and Rifle range for the boy scouts this weekend and I did, first off the scouts went to the shotgun range....they were shooting the 20 gauge over and unders..

And the scouts had a good time, I forgot to bring my 12 gauge over and under so I could have gotten in some "upscale Redneck Golf" as my friend Mack likes to refer to sporting clays.

   

The Scouts then went to qualify in the .22 LR rifles for the rifle merit badge, it always is good to get some range time, even if you are working them....and I did get a little bit of trigger time

22LR pistol from Smith&Wessen that I brought, I put about 50 rounds thought the pistol, but the scouts showed up after Lunch so I had to shelve shooting some more...Oh well.  A little bit of trigger time is a good time.

Even more goings on at Casa De Garabaldi

A few things have happened here, remember the Post I did a couple of weeks ago...about the tree,
   Well today they finally came from the tree,

They started cutting the tree up...

I was messing around at work, I had bought some  1/4 extensions off the MAC truck, 

they are the extensions that have a locking ring to hold the sockets securely so they don't fall into places like engines and other areas and you have to go digging them out and that can mean more disassembly and that ain't a good thing...

    Well I was looking into one of my toolbox drawers....

 Yeah...Kinda messy....Well I organized some stuff and threw some stuff away..

Put the long extension in that drawers, split the display case between 2 other drawers,

It was a small thing, but to me it was a thing that needed to be done.

And finally I decided to finish my old AR, I found the original stock and pistol grip and installed it on my old AR, and finished something that I needed to do.

You can really see the height difference between the original and the new rifle as far as height.  It really feels different now.

Hectic times at Casa De Garabaldi

   I have had family from out of town here and I have spent time with them rather than blogging. 

   I got several goodies for Christmas and here is a couple..

  

I got a Safariland pro-fit holster for my S&W Shield.  This is my 3rd holster from Safariland.  The first one was for a Springfield XD, and the second one had no retention system.  I sent both back to Amazon and bought one from Academy Sports.  I am pleased with the holster, I wanted an active retention system on the Holster to secure the pistol.  I also picked up an extra magazine.  Now I have to look at a separate magazine pouch.

   I also can say that I have seen it all....

Yes ...it is an actual comic.....

    And finally I saw the latest Star War offering...

All I can say was......"Meh"

    I was glad to see the old gang together again, but how overall they treated Luke with the exception of the very end was poorly.  The movie was dripping with SJW symbolism from the "gambling planet and the rich.  Also that the rebellion was "progressively Diverse" and the New Order was all white dudes....although they spoke with a British accent.   
      What happened?   Star Wars was Good Vs Evil....now it is neither and us Star Wars fans from the beginning feel lost in this new world.
