I have been super busy, I would get these great ideas at work for these blog post, but by the time I get home after work, and the gym, I am wiped out. I didn't realized that it has been several days since I have last posted something on my blog, I really feel bad about that. I don't like neglecting the blog because it does keep me sane when I want to rant about something that some politician has said, and apparently our president* Xiden had said a humdinger this week, something, something F15's and Nukes, and something, something....and directed it toward Middle America and the Trump Supporters. So I have a rant stewing about that one percolating. I will try to post something this evening, I am headed to work on my day off, got called it.
Just a funny note, I happen to be checking the stats and I have crossed over the 1 million views, something like 1.13 million views since 2011 when I started blogging to avoid getting screwed on Facebook or some of the other social media because I am very careful about my employer and don't want to get burned by some SJW on a mission because I said something that went against the grouphivething that is prevalent today. I am honored that people come over to my little corner of the internet to read my various brain squeezings, rants, musings and other squirrel moments. I am truly humbled. And this is where I choose to talk, vent, post things that I really like and interest me and most social media operates on 10 second soundbites where blogging can give me pages to talk, vent, muse, discuss and whatever I want. Well Monday Music is the one regular feature of my blog, I have something like 293 post on Monday Music. I do bounce around from historical post which I like, to politics and 2nd amendment issues or sometimes just to talk about what I am thinking about. I have no intent of giving up blogging for it gives me an outlet.
I remember when this song hit the airwaves, I was stationed in Germany and on maneuvers when this song came on AFN on the top 40 countdown and I heard it was Cher and I was thinking "Wow", this is a pretty neat song. I remember Cher from the Sonny and Cher show and her song "Gypsies, Tramp and Thieves", and some other songs in the 1970's that my Dad liked to listen to and I also did on the radio. I was stunned later on when I was at the PX at Robinson Barracks in Germany and saw the video on MTV Europe. I was thinking "Damm, for an older women, she looked real good. You gotta keep in mind, I was in my early to mid 20's back then and if a women that looked like that came on to me, I would definitely consider it. I remember reading something a few years ago about Cher, if there was a nuclear war and the only things that would survive is cockroaches and Cher. That women has survived where many others have faded away, she has remained relevant for a career that spanned decades, that is no mean feat considering how fickle the music scene is.
"If I Could Turn Back Time" is a song recorded by American singer and actress Cher. Written by Diane Warren and co-produced along with Guy Roche, the pop rock track was included on Cher's nineteenth album, Heart of Stone (1989). The song was released July 1989 as the second North American and first Europeansingle release from the album. The song also appears on the greatest hits compilations The Greatest Hits (1999) and The Very Best of Cher (2003). In 1989, it was certified Gold by the RIAA for the sales of 500,000 copies. Sales haven't been updated since. In November 2011, Billboard reported the digital sales of "If I Could Turn Back Time" to be 394,000 in the US.
Highly successful around the globe, "If I Could Turn Back Time" was
seen as a major comeback for Cher in the late 1980s. It charted at
number one in Australia and Norway, and reached number three in the
United States and number six in the United Kingdom, respectively. It
also became Cher's second consecutive solo number one hit on Billboard's Adult Contemporary chart. Gary Hill of Allmusic retrospectively wrote that the song "has a crunchy texture to it, albeit in a poppy, '80s Starship sort of arrangement."
The music video for "If I Could Turn Back Time", directed by Marty Callner, takes place on board the battleshipUSS Missouri. It depicts Cher and her band performing a concert for the ship's crew. The video was filmed in Los Angeles on July 1, 1989, while the ship was stationed at the former Long Beach Naval Shipyard
at Pier D. In the video, the band plays on the foredeck, and the ship
is rigged with spotlights, light racks and strobes. Cher's son, Elijah Blue Allman, only twelve at the time, appears as one of the band's guitarists (he wears dark glasses and a Jimi HendrixT-shirt).
Cher's outfit for the original video, a fishnet
body stocking under a black one-piece bathing suit that left most of
her buttocks and flanks exposed, proved very controversial, and many
television networks refused to show the video. MTV
first banned the video, and later played it only after 9 PM. A second
version of the video was made, including new scenes and less overtly
sexual content than the original. The outfit and sexual nature of the
video were not expected by the US Navy when they had originally granted permission for filming. The USS Missouri
liaison, Steve Honda, asked Callner to prevent Cher from wearing the
outfit when he saw it on-set, but Callner refused. The Navy also
received criticism for the video, and has since refused to allow any
music videos to be filmed aboard its ships.
In 2003, Cher released her Living Proof: Farewell Tour concert on DVD which included an official "If I Could Turn Back Time" remix video
Here is some Christmas Humor I ran across, actually my son found this and showed it to me and I liked it.
They are hilarious and worth the look.
I also have hit the big time as far as blogs goes, I finally got my first piece of hate email and the person that wrote it was creative. I was flattered and as I told a friend "It brought a tear to my eye".
I wrote one post in 2014 and the other post in 2016.
This is what the person wrote:
I'm
going to report your nasty blog for Islamophobia. I clean my ass with
the flag of the United States! Fuck you ignorant peasant! Fuck you
conspiranoic white trash!
The joys of being in the United States is the ability to speak or
say what you will without being sent to a work camp, or a gulag or have a
tire wrapped around you and set on fire. One day when your country has
the freedom of speech where you can say what you wish without fear of
repercussion or reprisals than you will understand the meanings of the
word "Freedom". Where you can expand your mind and live your dreams to
the best of your ability. That is the magic of a free mind.
Your
prostitute mother is hermaphrodite and zombie, not the antifascist
movement. I clean my ass with your country, I clean my ass with your
race, I clean my ass with your mother! Fuck you white trash! Fuck you
conspiranoic bastard! Fuck you fascist scum! fuck you piece of shit! you
are the perfect example of ignorant white trash. fuck you redneck!fuck
you son of a bitch and fuck the usa!
Now some suppositions, or informed guesses of the guy, again I am making a guess that the person is a guy, girls don't get that spun up. Since the guy made all sorts of suppositions on who I am, I will return the favor.
From the sentence structure, English is not his first language. I will continue and state that this person probably is 15 to 17 years old, and lives in the southern Hemisphere either in South America or North Africa.
Now if someone disagrees with me, I am all about having a debate on a different point of view, that is how one learns. But this is just vulgar and accomplishes little.
I have used it before......Like I said...Keep reading the cool Guys and smokin Babe(Momma Fargo...you gotta find her blog on the sidebar) :)
I am such a geek. This is a running joke about the Star Trek character..if they wear "red" they are monster fodder.
Google Blogger changed their format......I gotta check on Wordpress or something.....Google lets you drag and drop your pics directly into the post....sounds good.....however the thingie that tells you this covers up the post and don't vanish.......Grrrr
I had thought about advertising for my favorite gunparts vendor, Their parts are very reasonable, and their customer service is excellent. I am thinking about having an ad button set up on my site...When I inquired, they needed my SSN so they can 1099 me at the end of the year..To those bloggers that have ad buttons is this normal? Also I in the past have kept my "blog life and "real life" separate. This is mixing the two and I wouldn't mind the extra coins as little as they would be. But I have a certain anonymity and I do like it. partly because as I have stated in the past, my employer is risk adverse and would probably fire me if some liberal that I offended called them up and complained because I hurt their feelings. I have almost talked myself out of it but I wanted to ask the rest of y'all that question.
I thank you for your time
Respectfully

What prompted the question was that I had gotten a few AR parts for Fathers Day and I drug out of my parts bin the original barrel, upper receiver and hand-guards of my AR. I had ordered a new gas tube, hand-guard release and barrel spring for my barrel. So I took a few minutes to configure the old parts. Then I drug out the AR and put the old receiver and barrel on. The rifle looked very different. I hope the wife don't mind my using her kitchen countertop for this;)
This is what the rifle looked like with the "old stuff "on it: The rifle hasn't seen this configuration since 1992

The side sling adapter I picked up for it:
After taking some pics, I then returned the rifle to its now normal configuration:
I got this from the following bloggers, Peter, TAM and Daddy Bear that TJIC is getting harassed by the local Police....again. I was a new blogger when this hit and this was very popular among the blogosphere.
Apparently your first amendment rights don't mean crap in the peoples republic of Massachusetts
and your 2nd amendment rights are worth even less. This all transpired on the 4th of July....I keep thinking..is that the place where the shot that was heard around the world came from. I guess the people in charge forgot a piece of history...again. he had just gotten his Firearms Identification card from the authorities back, all of a sudden they raid his house, and seize the firearms that belong to his girl, not him and there is no clear reason why this is going on.
I have cut and pasted this from Tam's website.
As anyone who knows me can tell you, I have a prickly disposition.
Since
commencing the writing of this blog, I have typed out explicit wishes
for harm on a variety of people. Recently I suggested that people who
put too much credence in horoscopes should go huff exhaust fumes in a
locked garage. When Dick Cheney dusted his hunting buddy with his
fowling piece, I wrote that his only real crime was shooting a lawyer in Texas without a lawyer stamp on his hunting license. In a two-day period last November, I hoped aloud that Sen. Chuck Schumer, everybody at the FDA, and an anonymous TSA agent
would all die in a fire, screaming. I've used the phrase "Die, hippie"
with a specific hippie as the referent more times than I can count.
And I still have my guns.
This is apparently mostly because I don't live in Arlington, Massachusetts.
Travis Corcoran, proprietor of Heavy Ink Comics, whose nom de blog is "TJIC" does
live in Arlington, Massachusetts. Travis identifies himself as an
anarcho-capitalist; I'd say that on the philosophical axis, the pelt on
his wookie suit is longer and more luxuriant than mine, if not quite as
splendid as Billy Beck's.
In
the wake of the recent shooting in Tuscon, Travis put up a post on his
blog about how he didn't particularly feel like shedding any tears over
the shooting of a politician, entitled "1 down, 534 to go!"
Provocative? Inflammatory? Even tacky? Sure. But it was just speech.
Political speech. The kind that's protected under the 1st Amendment,
even when it's about politicians further up the food chain than congresscritters.
Comic
readers tend to trend younger and lefter than the norm, and some of his
customers found out about his post and decided to organize a boycott. I
have no problem with boycotts; lord knows I've called for the boycotts
of businesses that did things that annoyed me, such as using murderers for pitchmen.
Some people were so butthurt, however, that they went to the
authorities, and Travis received a knock on the door: It was the
Arlington, MA po-po, there to relieve Mr. Corcoran of his guns, his
ammunition, his firearms license, and his 2nd Amendment rights, all for having the temerity to use his 1st Amendment rights in the former Cradle of Liberty, now its grave.
Folks,
if Travis committed a crime, then I'm a criminal, too. To quote another
famous Bay Stater (who would no doubt be disgusted with the current
state of affairs there)
"Under a government which imprisons unjustly, the true place for a just man is also a prison."
I was reading this and realized that I knew some of the names in this story. I have been lucky, I have had no problems with anybody, but I figured that I would post this to spread the word. I enjoy blogging , it gives me the opportunity to organize my thoughts and better explain my opinion. I am always appreciative when somebody visits my little corner of the web and reads my various brain squeezings and touretts moments.
There is festering parasite clinging to the underbelly of the Dextrosphere…
Last summer when my friend, human rights activist Pamela Geller, and others in the counter-jihad movement were brutally blood libeled, I organized a show of support with my readers and fellow bloggers to let Pamela and the others know that they did not stand alone, and that people who were paying attention knew better than to believe the vicious lies that were being spread by leftist blogs, islamic supremacists, and the mainstream media.
While I was adding names to the list of people who wanted to publicly show their support for Pamela, I met some new people whose blogs I had not been familiar with before who asked to be added to the list (and because I was happy to see my friends get such support, I also added them to my blogroll). I have since become friends with and fans of many of these people who I had been unfamiliar with before, but there is one person among them who I wish I had known more about before hand because I would have avoided him like the plague had I known his history. The person I reference had hurt a lot of people before I knew him and he has since harmed others, which is why I am doing this post, as a public service, in the hopes of sparing other people from the damage that this person causes.
Last fall, I was checking out Google+ when I noticed a post on there that said “I am quitting blogging” or something to that effect. I am generally a friendly, compassionate, person and when I see someone down in the dumps, I usually try to help if I am able to, so I asked this person why he was quitting and was told that it is because he wasn’t getting any hits at his blog. I have enjoyed some modest success as a blogger not only because I relentlessly self-promote my work but also (and largely) because other bloggers have kindly linked to me and otherwise helped me out, so I thought I’d see what I could do to help that person because I hate to see someone stop doing something they love for lack of encouragement. I figured I would visit his blog and link to some of his posts from my own, so that he could benefit from some of the eyeballs that find their way to my place, but when I went there, I saw nothing I’d want to promote from my place, as his blog was filled with a bunch of bitterness and vitriol for other bloggers and he appeared to be the type of person who blames the whole world for whatever his life is lacking. Everything that did not go his way was somebody else’s fault.
Among other odd things, I saw a post complaining that Erick Erickson of RedState did not accept his submission for Erick’s “I am the 53%” project which was created to represent the 53% of Americans who pay income taxes to counter the meme of the #occupy squatters’ “I am the 99%” which is supposed to be about Americans who do not comprise the “1%” of the super-rich in this country. It is understandable why the submission wasn’t accepted, because the site shows letters from the “53%” who are people that work for a living and pay taxes, which the person whose letter was rejected does not – he has been unemployed and living in his mom’s basement for many years and pays no income taxes whatsoever.
I realized that I could not help this person and I moved on to other things. The next day, I saw him post something horrible in the comments section of a post at The Other McCain which prompted me to remove that person from my blogroll and avoid him as much as possible. Stacy was having a rough time, and while most of us offered words of comfort and support, one person decided to use Stacy’s misery as a chance to kick the man while he was down in a fit of epic douchebaggery. Here is the nasty comment, along with the responses from me and other friends of Stacy to such a vicious unprovoked attack (and where my friend Bob Belvedere was kind enough to let me know that this sort of nastiness was nothing new from
