My Apologies to all...

I have been super busy at work and if it wasn't for the preloaded history stuff that I had prepped way in advance, my blog would have been real quiet.  It will remain busy for the next couple of months, until next shift bid.

Yes I have been working a lot of it.  I have a couple of trips in the works, One is to NOAC the "National Order of the Arrow Conference" and that is a week long and will run me a "C" note at least and that is at the end of summer, and in May is NRAAM in Dallas, That one will be a "Day" trip, the hotel cost are prohibitive.  My son and I will fly the first plane in and catch the last plane out on Saturday.  He did ask me if "Murphy" will troll the protestors like he did last year here in Atlanta., I replied "Probably".
And speaking of protestors, the left has lost their ever loving mind.  All I have seen is the vitriol and hate directed against us honest gun owners and the NRA, apparently that is the standard playbook of the left.  I have gotten into several pissing contest with idiots on Facebook, they parrot the latest talking points from bloomburg, the DNC and other leftist groups.  I do enjoy shredding their emotional twaddle when I post and I keep hearing the word "Compromise" and I will not hear of it.  I am tired of compromising.  I have used "Lawdogs" cake analogy to state my point of view.  It basically goes like this...
I will not compromise anymore.  I saw on someone twitter feed about using the force of government, especially the NSA to go through everyones social media profile, letters, emails, store purchases, who goes to the gun range, who belongs to the NRA or other 2nd amendment groups and launch police raids to seize the guns....My reply was "Well that will start a civil war, many gun owners will fight and how many police, military and citizens do you want to see die to enforce this liberal utopia that you see at the top of the hill?.  I get the response, "What can you do against the U.S. Army with a deer rifle?" I snort  and use this analogy...
I commented"Most of the Police and military will not go along with this, they are from our communities and they live among us and we live among them, They know that if they start caving in doors to enforce the liberal edict that you want done, a lot of people will would up shot, and I recall a liberal think tank did an analysis to push through the agenda that the left wants, it will take 10% of the American population to pay the price to get the others to toe the line, and keep in mind, we tend to live in the rural areas and will survive better than you will.

Speaking of the NRA, several companies have cut ties with the organization, I am disturbed, these companies have caved to the craven Social Justice fanatics, this shows a distinct lack of spine, companies forget that SJW's are never happy and they will push and push until their agenda is met, then they will find another agenda leaving shattered lives and pissed off people wherever they go.

Here is a list of some of the companies that have cut ties with or distanced themselves from the NRA since the Florida school shooting that left 17 people dead.
  • United Airlines -- United tweeted Saturday, "United is notifying the NRA that we will no longer offer a discounted rate to their annual meeting and we are asking that the NRA remove our information from their website."
  • Delta Air Lines -- Delta issued the following statement Saturday: "Delta is reaching out to the National Rifle Association to let it know we will be ending its contract for discounted rates through our group travel program. We will be requesting that the NRA remove our information from its website."
  • First National Bank of Omaha -- The bank announced that it would not renew a co-branded Visa credit-card with the NRA.
  • The Hertz Corp. -- The rental car company ended its discount program for NRA members.
  • MetLife Inc. -- The insurer terminated discounts that had been offered to NRA members on the NRA website
  • Enterprise Holdings Inc. -- The car rental company that also owns Alamo and National cut off discounts for NRA members.
  • Symantec Corp. -- The software company that makes Norton Antivirus technology ended its discount program with the NRA.
  • Chubb Ltd. -- The insurer announced it was ending participation in the NRA's gun-owner insurance program, though it provided notice three months ago.
  • Best Western -- The hotel chain told multiple social media users that it was no longer affiliated with the NRA, though it did not say when that decision was made.
  • Wyndham Hotels -- The hotel chain told social media users it is no longer affiliated with the NRA without specifying when that decision was made.
The NRA released the following statement Saturday:
"The more than five million law-abiding members of the National Rifle Association have enjoyed discounts and cost-saving programs from many American corporations that have partnered with the NRA to expand member benefits.
"Since the tragedy in Parkland, Florida, a number of companies have decided to sever their relationship with the NRA, in an effort to punish our members who are doctors, farmers, law enforcement officers, fire fighters, nurses, shop owners and school teachers that live in every American community.  We are men and women who represent every American ethnic group, every one of the world’s religions and every form of political commitment.
"The law-abiding members of the NRA had nothing at all to do with the failure of that school’s security preparedness, the failure of America’s mental health system, the failure of the National Instant Check System or the cruel failures of both federal and local law enforcement.
"Despite that, some corporations have decided to punish NRA membership in a shameful display of political and civic cowardice.  In time, these brands will be replaced by others who recognize that patriotism and determined commitment to Constitutional freedoms are characteristics of a marketplace they very much want to serve.
"Let it be absolutely clear. The loss of a discount will neither scare nor distract one single NRA member from our mission to stand and defend the individual freedoms that have always made America the greatest nation in the world.

CNN the paragon of American news has been pushing the gun control agenda and they have had several town-halls where they packed it full of kids with scripted questions..Marco Rubio and Dana Lorsch were ambushed by this, they had commented like it was an arena and that the CNN moderator had lost control of the events or didn't have it to begin with.
I shake my head with amazement when I hear about arming teachers...the ones that want to be armed.  We keep hearing that "the Police will protect them"....Really? like that assclown that disgraced his uniform and hid while the young man was shooting up his former classmates.   It is funny that the cloud people have private schools, armed security to protect their kids, but us "dirt people" all we have are "Gun free zones".

The FBI, the local law enforcement and the social services all dropped the ball, people said something, and they got blown off by the FBI, the Broward County Sheriff office and the local social services, but we have to rely on these people to protect our kids?
It is like our lives and our kids lives are not as valuable as theirs are.   We have to be disarmed but our "betters" have protection.   There is a real disconnect with our society, we are more polarized than I have ever see us, the 2016 election really drove that point home.  I am not sure if we as a nation will survive.

Barrel is kinda Hot......

To many in America, this might be a reality, we have decided if the time comes and the .gov colossus decides to finally implement the confiscation of firearms to further their goals of a "Utopia over the hill" if all the old nasty guns are gone and the government can act..."In our best interest" of course because "Our Betters" know what is best for us old nasty serfs.  This is feudalism and this was what ruled Europe during the middle ages, before the rise of the merchant class(read middle class) and the magna carta helped check the power of the royalty.  We as western based peoples have been raised to believe that the individual is sacrosanct, and that the government is to help you not rule you.  Now we have people in government that believe that they should be our rulers, the government is the master and the people are the servants
This is anathema to a free people. The West is based on Greco-Roman principles of law and individuality , our system is built this way.  In other areas of the world, it matters what race, tribe, family you belong to, and you as an individual are subservient to that goal.   This ties in our individual right of self defense against tyranny,
This is what happned when a western based society stripped the God-Given rights of self defense from their citizens all in the name of "Public safety".  the Gestapo was able to exterminate 6,000000000 Jews plus other "undesirables".  With no means of defending themselves people were
I remember the Warsaw rebellion in history class, before they sanitized it for later generations, the German had crowded the Jews into the ghetto and were planning on killing them off because the Soviets were almost to Warsaw.  the Jewish residents of the ghetto had stolen rifles, made home made rifles and other weapons and when the SS came for them, they made a fight of it.  the Jews had nothing to lose, if they lost, they would go to Treblinka, Auschwitz and other places and exterminated.  They forced the Germans to fight for each house and blocks. the resources that the Germans had to expend against the ghetto was resources that they had to pull away from the Soviets.  Stalin showing his gratitude, stopped his armies outside of Warsaw and let the Jews fight, he wanted to make sure in the post German era, there would be no resistance to his plans to set up a puppet government in Poland answerable to the Kremlin.
If they came for me, they would have a fight, I would rather die as a free man standing for my beliefs than die on my knees as a slave.  this is the difference between us and many others.  We believe in our God-Given rights and will not go into that long night quietly.

Another go at the 2nd amendment..."Can't let a crisis go to waste"

Well the democrats can't let a crisis go to waste,
Any excuse to chisel away at the 2nd amendment.  All in the name of "Common-Sense" gun control.  I will state the obvious, they use any tragedy to continue to ratchet down on the 2nd amendment.  It isn't gun control, they want,it is "people control" .  Liberals are busy bodies that want to not only control their life...they want to control yours also.  And if they can get away with killing the 2nd amendment, you will have no choice because the liberals control the tools of the state and they will try to bend you to their will.  If you don't comply they will send you to a gulag for "re-education" until you have paid your debt to their society via labor, you think I am being an alarmist?  Stalin did it in the 30's with his purges, Hitler did it in the 40's with the work and death camps, and Mao did it in the 60's, and history has a nasty habit of repeating itself.    Remember Saul Alensky, the hero to our "Dear Leader" and the other democrats, he had stated that to fundamentally transform the United States to the socialist utopia that they want, that they will have to kill 10% of the American people, the ones that will not toe the line.  This is the price that they are willing to pay for this socialist utopia, the great city in the hill that the progs have dreamed up. .  As long as we have the 2nd amendment and our right to defense of persons from tyranny and oppression, they cannot do that.

House Democrats Introduce New Gun Control Bill

May 30, 2014 by

Democrats in the House introduced new legislation Friday that supporters say would enact new protections to make sure that firearms don’t fall into the hands of the severely mentally ill.
The proposal, sponsored by Democratic Representatives Mike Thompson of California and Ed Perlmutter of Colorado, is called the “Promoting Healthy Minds for Safer Communities Act of 2014.” If passed, the legislation would place tougher restrictions on gun ownership by prohibiting individuals convicted of stalking, domestic violence or similar crimes from purchasing firearms. It would also revoke gun ownership rights from anyone involuntarily committed to a mental health facility.
“While no one law or set of laws can end gun violence, by taking these steps — and requiring background checks on all commercial gun sales — we can make our communities safer and prevent more shootings while respecting the rights of law-abiding gun owners,” Thompson said.
Furthermore, the bill would expand grant funding for State and local law enforcement education about Federal gun laws and bolster gun-violence prevention efforts. One such effort touted by supporters of the legislation would give lawmakers more options for attaining warrants to confiscate firearms from individuals they deem a danger to themselves or others.
The legislation was introduced exactly one week after a shooting tragedy in California involving a 22-year-old who had previously been investigated for possible mental disturbance by police. Officers reportedly interviewed the suspect and decided he was not a threat. The officers didn’t search his dwelling where supporters of the new House legislation say they would have found evidence of his murderous plans.
“This young man’s family reached out for support and did not find the support there,” Representative Elizabeth Esty (D-Conn.), said. “It is our duty, as members of Congress, to ensure that families, law enforcement [and] mental health professionals have the support they need to keep us safe.”
Critics of the legislation worry that broad language regarding citizens’ mental health history could lead to violations of both 2nd and 4th Amendment rights for people who have sought help with mental health issues unrelated to potential violence.
It’s unlikely that the bill will advance through the Republican-controlled House.

I will dissect this bill a bit at a time,  First off they state that anybody that was convicted for stalking, domestic violence and other similar crimes...this is feel good bullshit, the Lautenburg Amendment already does that.  This is just a smokescreen.  It also would revoke any bodies rights if they are "involuntary committed"  Involuntary committed by whom?   Get a judge that doesn't like you because he is a part of the elitist and believes that surfs don't need weapons?  Get committed *boom* your 2nd amendment rights are GONE.  Let me continue with this proposal...they want a background check on every commercial sale...Well that is already done, when you fill out the FFL 4473 they ask you several questions..from have you ever been committed to are you a part of a subversive movement, to have you ever been committed of domestic violence and have you committed a felony.  then they run a background through the NCIC before the store can sell you that firearm.    This is more smoke and mirrors.  They talk about funding more mental health issues, and here is the nugget that is inserted into this legislation..They would have more warrants to confiscate firearms from individuals that are "deemed a danger to themselves or others"   This is a very broad brush, how many preppers and other 2nd amendment advocates will get hemmed in this this law?  To get a warrant through a judge is pretty easy now...How many warrants have been sighed off that have no "probable cause" but because the DA had asked for them?  This is a slippery slope that will continue to split the "powers that be" from the rest of us.  This law will not pass in its present form, but it may get amended.  But if the Democrats get control of the house and senate, this bill will get pushed through and the 2nd amendment will continue to be assaulted and finally become a footnote in history.

Register nothing....It is none of their business

I saw this on Freedom Outpost.   I have been busy with Scout stuff for the past couple of days.    I have been paying to what is going on in CT and NY.  Those politicians have started up a hornets nest up there and a lot of people ain't gonna back down.  Those people that got screwed when they registered late, and have been told that they have to turn in those weapons or get rid of them, kinda let the cat out of the bag as far as the leftist collectivist statist Democrat politicians have planned.   Many people will defy the law and after a few die in midnight raids by the state police, the rest of them will not go quietly into that long night and it will get nasty.

Town Hall: CT Gov. Malloy References Constitution – Patriot Shouts “Why Don’t You Read It Sometime!”

Last night in Milford, Connecticut, a town hall meeting took place. Connecticut Governor Dannel Patrick Malloy, who signed into law a mandatory gun registration bill this year that criminalizes once law abiding citizens, was in attendance. In doing so, not only was Malloy attacking the Second Amendment of the United States, but as I have previously pointed out, he attacked his own State Constitution. However, during the meeting as Governor Malloy was addressing a particular statement of a gentleman in attendance, he made reference to the US Constitution. A lone female voice can be overheard exclaiming, "Why don't you read it sometime!"

Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman held the microphone as a small business owner spoke to Malloy, saying that he was at a disadvantage in his linen supply business because adjacent states have a lower wage structure. As a result, restaurants in the area were outsourcing their business. The full video can be viewed here.
"I think that's not only a state issue," Malloy said, "but we've got this thing called the Constitution, so it makes it a little difficult to do some of the things you suggest."
At the twenty second mark, you can hear the voice of Linda Czaplinski from Oxford, Connecticut calling out to Malloy, "Why don't you read it sometime!"
According to her friend, and now mine, Palin Smith, who is also the gentleman videoing the event, "She is a gunslinger, our verbal Annie Oakley, our Joan of Arc in Connectcut."
Indeed, Linda is not one to back down from calling out gun grabbing politicans. Just take a look at this confrontation last year as she schools Senator Chris Murphy at a town hall meeting at the Art Gallery of Mancheter Community College.

John Cinque, who I told you about the other day, was supposed to attend the event. Sadly, he was unable to do so, but according to Smith, there are attempts being made to have talks between Cinque and Joe Visconti, who is seeking to unseat Governor Malloy.
So far tens of thousands of Connecticut patriots have refused to register their guns, even though they have been sent letters demanding that they surrender their weapons and have even had state police claim that they sound un-American and anti-law. Some patriots have even issued a warning to those that would seek to confiscate their weapons.
Interestingly enough, today marks the 178th anniversary of the fall of the Alamo. It looks like the new Alamo is Connecticut. Let's pray and lend our support to our fellow patriots in the "Constitution State," hoping that they will stand firm and fast against the reincarnation of the same tyranny that oppressed the North during the days of our founding fathers.

Here we go again.......

I got this from the following bloggers, Peter, TAM and Daddy Bear that TJIC is getting harassed by the local Police....again.   I was a new blogger when this hit and this was very popular among the blogosphere.
Apparently your first amendment rights don't mean crap in the peoples republic of Massachusetts
and your 2nd amendment rights are worth even less.   This all transpired on the 4th of July....I keep thinking..is that the place where the shot that was heard around the world came from.  I guess the people in charge forgot a piece of history...again.   he had just gotten his Firearms Identification card from the authorities back, all of a sudden they raid his house, and seize the firearms that belong to his girl, not him and there is no clear reason why this is going on.

I have cut and pasted this from Tam's website.

As anyone who knows me can tell you, I have a prickly disposition.

Since commencing the writing of this blog, I have typed out explicit wishes for harm on a variety of people. Recently I suggested that people who put too much credence in horoscopes should go huff exhaust fumes in a locked garage. When Dick Cheney dusted his hunting buddy with his fowling piece, I wrote that his only real crime was shooting a lawyer in Texas without a lawyer stamp on his hunting license. In a two-day period last November, I hoped aloud that Sen. Chuck Schumer, everybody at the FDA, and an anonymous TSA agent would all die in a fire, screaming. I've used the phrase "Die, hippie" with a specific hippie as the referent more times than I can count.

And I still have my guns.

This is apparently mostly because I don't live in Arlington, Massachusetts.

Travis Corcoran, proprietor of Heavy Ink Comics, whose nom de blog is "TJIC" does live in Arlington, Massachusetts. Travis identifies himself as an anarcho-capitalist; I'd say that on the philosophical axis, the pelt on his wookie suit is longer and more luxuriant than mine, if not quite as splendid as Billy Beck's.

In the wake of the recent shooting in Tuscon, Travis put up a post on his blog about how he didn't particularly feel like shedding any tears over the shooting of a politician, entitled "1 down, 534 to go!" Provocative? Inflammatory? Even tacky? Sure. But it was just speech. Political speech. The kind that's protected under the 1st Amendment, even when it's about politicians further up the food chain than congresscritters.

Comic readers tend to trend younger and lefter than the norm, and some of his customers found out about his post and decided to organize a boycott. I have no problem with boycotts; lord knows I've called for the boycotts of businesses that did things that annoyed me, such as using murderers for pitchmen. Some people were so butthurt, however, that they went to the authorities, and Travis received a knock on the door: It was the Arlington, MA po-po, there to relieve Mr. Corcoran of his guns, his ammunition, his firearms license, and his 2nd Amendment rights, all for having the temerity to use his 1st Amendment rights in the former Cradle of Liberty, now its grave.

Folks, if Travis committed a crime, then I'm a criminal, too. To quote another famous Bay Stater (who would no doubt be disgusted with the current state of affairs there)

"Under a government which imprisons unjustly, the true place for a just man is also a prison."
I am TJIC.

DHS buying more ammo.....again

I have been afraid to go shooting much because I would have to dip into what I call my "Combat stock".  I wonder if that is what the intent is, force people to abstain from shooting for fear of running out of ammo and a skill that is not used tends to atrophy,  Also with the cost being high, it forces people to choose between bullets and bills.  I also wonder if this is the intent to inflict pain on the gun owning populace.   In the past the elitist would impose "sin" taxes on various activities that they consider "harmful" like booze and cigarettes.  I wonder if this is a back door tax on ammo due to the cost.
I was reading the drudge report and another report made it out that the DHS is buying more ammo...again and Big Sister is refusing to answer the query of congress about the large amount of ammo purchases.  I will cut and past the associated article.

Big Sis Ignores Congressman’s Demand For Briefing on Bullet Buys

“Congress deserves an answer” on huge ammo purchases

Janet Napolitano has ignored a letter written by New Jersey Congressman Leonard Lance calling for the Department of Homeland Security chief to attend a congressional briefing and provide an explanation as to why the DHS has committed to purchasing more than 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition over the last year.
Lance, who first promised to investigate the matter during a Tea Party event on March 15, sent a letter five days later noting how there was “growing public concern surrounding the Department’s procurement of ammunition.”
“He is not asking for Napolitano to testify but to give us a congressional briefing because Congress wasn’t aware of it. It deserves an answer,” Lance spokesman Todd Mitchell told the Daily Record.
Over a week after the letter was sent, Lance’s office has still not received a response, similar to how 15 other members of Congress were stonewalled by the DHS when they demanded to know if the huge bullet purchases were an attempt by the federal agency to restrict ammunition supplies.
Instead of a formal explanation, the federal agency released a glib statement to the media claiming the amount of ammunition purchased was not abnormal, that the bullets were bought in bulk “because it’s cheaper for the agency,” and that the rounds were for training purposes only.
However, the DHS has completely failed to address the fundamental flaw in their explanation. Most of the bullets purchased are hollow point rounds which are twice as expensive as full metal jacket bullets, rendering the claim the agency is buying in bulk to save money redundant.
As former Marine Richard Mason told reporters with WHPTV News in Pennsylvania earlier this month, “We never trained with hollow points, we didn’t even see hollow points my entire four and a half years in the Marine Corps.”
Earlier this week, a weapons manufacturer who supplies ammunition to the federal government told the nationally syndicated Savage Nation radio show that the ammo purchases were an attempt to “control the amount of market that’s available on the commercial market at any time,” by forcing manufacturers to hold back stock.
Ammunition is in short supply across the country, with police departments being forced to barter between themselves to meet demand while gun stores across America have resorted to bullet rationing.
Earlier this week, the DHS put out a solicitation asking for 360,000 more bullets to be delivered to the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Artesia, New Mexico, the same destination for 240,000 hollow point rounds which were purchased only last month.
Last week, retired United States Army Captain Terry M. Hestilow sent a letter to Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) warning that the ammo purchases represent “a bold threat of war by that agency (DHS), and the Obama administration, against the citizens of the United States of America.”

2 for 1 special....with Democrats....

I have been doing some surfing around and I noticed something from the liberal pacific northwest.  Apparently the rat bastard communist local democrats are pushing an "alternative" to confiscation.  There is a change in the bills being submitted by various democrats to push to register them since the ultimate goal of confiscation seems to have passed them by.   Then you have to allow an" unscheduled" visit 1 time a year from the local sheriffs dept to"verify" security for the nasty old evil Assault Rifle the AR-15 derivative that you own.  What is with democrats and the bill of Rights...They love the 1st amendment when "W" was the president and they rode his administration with spurs. Cindy Sheehan and the code pink idiots were in the limelight.  Now that Obama is the President you don't hear from them anymore.  The liberals rat bastards are intent on violating the bill of rights because they are compassionate leftist.."you are the great unwashed masses you need our guidance to reach this great utopia that is in the horizon if only you would surrender your individuality and everybody is equal....and when everybody is equal than nobody is different" philosophy.
The 4th amendment is at danger here also besides the 2nd amendment.

Here's the Fourth Amendment.
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
In their zeal to violate the Second Amendment, they plan on throwing the Fourth Amendment down the crapper as well.

KarlU, who lives in the Peoples Republic of Washington has more.

"Introduced by Sen. Ed Murray (D) on February 13, 2013, provides that no person in this state shall manufacture, possess, purchase, sell, or otherwise transfer any assault weapon, or any assault weapon conversion kit. This act defines assault weapons as semi-automatic or pump action rifles and pistols which can accept a detachable magazine with a capacity of more than 10 rounds, and features any of the following: a pistol grip, folding or thumbhole stock, barrel shroud, muzzle brake, or protruding forward grip. As defined, “assault weapon” also includes any semiautomatic with a fixed magazine capacity of more than 10 rounds, any firearm with a threaded barrel, shotguns with detachable magazines or revolving cylinders, and assault weapon conversion kits. Assault weapons legally owned when the bill is enacted must be safely stored and may be inspected by the sheriff once a year."

Does anybody seen the issues here  ?   they show up unannounced for their inspection..and you have no recourse but to let them in?  What happened to our right of privacy?   They show up and happen to find you in violation of some other law obscure or otherwise? Where is your right of due process? "Oh Snap...you violated the nanny law of regulating your water heater or thermostat, to save energy of course, you are using more than your fair share."  You got to go to jail for that...Oh snap..Since you have been in jail, you cannot own any firearms....Oh snap we will have to seize these weapons...for your own good of course."  We will truly become a nation of sheep if this goes through.
