"Tragedy And Reality"

I saw from some of her social media presence that she touted herself as a ""ICE Defense Warrior", and apparently word on the street is that her car made appearance in several cities where harrassment of ICE agents and operations happened.  Well the problem is that these liberals forget that ICE ARE Police officers at the same level as the FBI, yes Virginia they can arrest you on certain statutes like interference and a few other things.  The Legacy media pushed " Legal Observer" angle like that gives her some special status, but it doesn't.  These *AWFUL* "Affluant White Liberal Women" are full of entitlement and believe that they are untouchable and free of consequence.  Well Ms.Good found out that FAFO is a thing.  And the ICE Officer had to react in a split second and you have all these "aaaactivist" and monday morning quarterbacks second guessing his decision, and this is the 2nd time he was put in this position, according to the VEEP  JD Vance, the Officer collected 33 stitches earlier from getting hit from another car from another incident from a "legal Observer".   

      The DOJ needs to find out his these professional protestors are getting paid, and get their intelligence to interfere with operations.  Kill the money, you kill the interference.    Activist rarely work for free unless they are independently wealthy, and if they are, good, let them use their own money,

Renee Good died on Wednesday in Minneapolis. She had been attempting to block Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents engaged in federal law enforcement activities. Along with other protesters, Good involved herself in what federal agents were doing and used her car to block them. Confronted by federal agents, Good accelerated with an agent in front of her car. He pulled his gun, she accelerated and struck him, he opened fire and shot her. She died.

Watching the video footage, it is clear she accelerated with an agent directly in front of her car and struck him. Close observers noted her front wheel appeared to be turned, so not intending to hit the agent. The agent who shot her was not looking down to try to see her tire. The car came toward him on an icy, slippery road. He pulled his gun. She kept accelerating. He fired.

The Democratic Party sent out a tweet that federal agents had murdered an American citizen. The agent, in a very tense situation, operated in self-defense. The whole thing is tragic. Good is neither a hero nor a martyr. She tried to obstruct a federal operation. When confronted, she tried to flee the scene, hitting an officer who drew his gun and shot her.

For four years, Americans witnessed an overrun southern border. Democrats repeatedly denied there was a problem. They falsely claimed the border was secure. Voters decided to vote for President Donald Trump, a man whose supporters had stormed the U.S. Capitol just a few years before, because the voters decided Trump was preferable to the status quo.

Progressives did not handle that rejection well. Despite Mr. Trump winning the popular vote, progressives swung into action to not just obstruct every presidential initiative, but to harass federal agents and protect the very illegal aliens that most Americans want ejected from the country.

Going back to 2019, the local Minnesota press has documented a massive welfare fraud operation. Eighty-nine percent of those indicted are from a Somali community that has failed to assimilate into the United States. In 2019, the Minneapolis Fox affiliate reported Minnesota welfare money was being used to fund Islamic terror. Just a few weeks ago, another report came out documenting that Somali fraud in Minnesota had flowed to an Islamic terror group in Somalia.

Governor Tim Walz has decided not to run for reelection, in part because of the scandal. The fraud, which some estimates put at several billion dollars, happened on his watch. Walz has insisted there is no scandal and it is all racism. Walz and Jacob Frey, the Minneapolis Mayor, both insist federal agents are acting as a Gestapo.

The incendiary rhetoric from Democratic politicians fired up progressive activists. ICE agents have been fired upon. In Texas, several illegal aliens were killed when a progressive activist fired at ICE agents. ICE agents have been hit by cars, assaulted, and vilified for trying to clean up the mess created by Democrats.

Progressive activists have turned violent, interfered, and now one has been killed. We cannot observe this tragedy without acknowledging not just the incendiary rhetoric of the Left, but also the repeated assassination attempts on federal agents. It is a tragedy that Ms. Good is dead and leaves behind a son whose father died a few years ago. But Ms. Good should not have been attempting to obstruct ICE agents. She should not have used her car as a barricade. She should not have ignored the ICE agents. She should not have struck an ICE agent with her vehicle.

The ICE agents are there because Democrats have allowed an illegal alien problem to fester. They are vilified by progressive politicians and have been targeted by progressive activists. Ms. Good would be alive today except she believed the hysteria of people like Tim Walz. She substituted politics for religion and decided to involve herself in political protest and opposition. She is now dead because of it.

This is a tragedy. It was avoidable. But Democrats have grown more shrill and hysterical since she died. There will be more attacks on ICE agents, all of whom are simply doing the job of deporting those the Democrats let flood the country.

 I ran across this from Townhall.    I have commented before that our "Betters used to have our "Best interest at heart, sure they got rich, but they wouldn't shank the country in the process, but the new generation of "betters" , they have hooked their wagons to one party and one ideology to the detriment of the United States and the West.  I'm am convinced that the Chinese ain't having this problem as they are watching the West go soft and self destruct.

For years, European policymakers had assured the world that the relatively rapid "transition" to "green" energy was the world's preordained future -- regardless of the costs.

Accordingly, many European Union governments followed the advice of green experts. They eagerly shut down coal, natural gas, and nuclear power plants to transition immediately to "renewable energy."

Most citizens were afraid to object that in cloudy, cold Germany solar panels were not viable methods of electrical generation -- especially in comparison to the country's vast coal deposits and its large, model nuclear power industry.

As a result, German government officials warn that this winter, in 19th-century fashion, families will have to burn wood -- the dirtiest of modern fuels -- to endure the cold. And there is further talk of "warm rooms," where like pre-civilizational tribal people, the elderly will bunch together within a designated heated room to keep alive.

Sri Lanka may be the first modern nation to adopt deliberate policies that have led to mass hunger and bankruptcy. The government, for a variety of reasons, listened to foreign advocates of back-to-nature organic farming, specifically outright abandonment of highly effective synthetic fertilizers and pesticides.

 

 

 

The result was endemic crop failure. Cash crops for export failed. Widespread hunger followed. Without foreign exchange, it became impossible to import key staples like food and fuel.

Sri Lanka once had a per capita income twice that of nearby India. Now it cannot feed or fuel itself.

Unfortunately, its incompetent government trusted radical environmental advisors, many of them foreign experts. Sri Lanka believed it could become the woke darling of the "Environmental, Social, Governance" movement, and in that way draw in unlimited Western woke investment.

Instead, it has embraced a policy of national suicide.

Recently, a group of 55 distinguished pro-administration economists assured us that President Joe Biden's massive borrowing and new entitlements agenda were not inflationary. In September 2021, these economists with 14 Nobel prize winners among them declared that Biden's inflationary policies would actually "ease" inflation.

 

 

Last month, inflation spiked to an annualized rate of 9.1%.

None of these "blue-chip" economists have offered any apologies for lending their prestige to convince Americans of the absurd: that inflating the money supply, spiking new government spending, incentivizing labor non-participation, and keeping interest rates artificially low would not cause inflation.

In late July 2021, General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, claimed that the Taliban takeover "was not a foregone conclusion." He bragged that 34 provincial capitals were still in Afghan government hands

 

 

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin nodded in approval. Less than a month later, the entire Afghan government collapsed. The American military fled in its most ignominious retreat in over 50 years. Milley had been parroting Biden's earlier prompt that a Taliban victory after the American evacuation was "highly unlikely."

On the eve of the 2020 election, news accounts revealed some of the lurid contents on Hunter Biden's lost laptop. Emails and photos began to incriminate the entire Biden family for leveraging millions of dollars from foreign grandees for access to a bought Joe Biden.

 

Fifty retired intelligence officers, however, without evidence, swore that the laptop's appearance could be due to "Russian disinformation." Yet after authentication -- Hunter himself never denied the lost laptop was his -- few if any of those marquee "experts" apologized for their election-driven dissimulation.

At the height of the massive 2020 enforced quarantine and lockdowns, some 1,200 medical and health "professionals" signed a petition claiming that thousands of left-wing protestors should be exempt from the very quarantine they had insisted on for others.

The experts absurdly claimed that denying tens of thousands the right to break quarantines to protest in the street was a greater health threat than COVID-19.

FBI Director James Comey doggedly pursued the "Russian collusion" hoax. At one point he hired the discredited Christopher Steele to supply the FBI with information from his fantasy dossier.

Once called to account, on some 245 occasions before Congress, Comey swore that he could either not remember or had no knowledge about the questions asked of him.

His successor FBI interim Director Andrew McCabe admittedly lied on four occasions to federal officials. Special counsel and former FBI director Robert Mueller himself swore under oath that he knew nothing either about the Steele dossier or Fusion GPS -- the twin catalysts for his entire investigation.

 

FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith admitted to altering a federal court document in efforts to convict an innocent suspect.

All these depressing examples have one common denominator: Elite experts and degreed professionals massaged and warped their knowledge to serve ideological masters, rather than the truth.

In the process, they caused untold damage to their country and fellow citizens. They disgraced their profession. They tarnished the scientific community. And sold their souls to ideologues.

Is it any wonder why the Western public has lost confidence in their degreed and credentialed elites?

Why the Left likes to block roads, bridges, harass people....

It is a very good article and I was pleased to see someone that said the same thing that I have said.  The average leftist believe that they are superior due to their education, being "woke", social standing and other factors and that we "normals" are subhuman, Nazi's and other vile things.

When I was in graduate school, I learned a lot about the left.
One lesson was that while most liberals and conservatives abide by society’s rules of order and decency, most leftists do not feel bound to live by these same rules.
I watched the way leftist Vietnam War protesters treated fellow students and professors. I watched left-wing students make “nonnegotiable demands” of college administrations. I saw the Black Panthers engage in violence—including torture and murder—and be financially rewarded by leftists.
Today, we watch leftist mobs scream profanities at professors and deans, and shut down conservative and pro-Israel speakers at colleges. We routinely witness left-wing protesters block highways and bridges, scream in front of the homes of conservative business and political leaders, and surround conservatives’ tables at restaurants while shouting and chanting at them.
Conservatives don’t do these things. They don’t close highways, yell obscenities at left-wing politicians, work to ban left-wing speakers at colleges, smash the windows of businesses, etc.
Why do leftists feel entitled do all these things? Because they have thoroughly rejected middle-class, bourgeois, and Judeo-Christian religious values.
Leftists are the only source of their values. Leftists not only believe they know what is right—conservatives, too, believe they are right—but they also believe they are morally superior to all others. Leftists are Ubermenschen—people on such a high moral plane that they do not consider themselves bound by the normal conventions of civics and decency. Leftists don’t need such guidelines; only the non-left—the “deplorables”—need them.
In August 2017, University of Pennsylvania law professor Amy Wax wrote a column for the Philadelphia Inquirer in defense of middle-class values. She and her co-author cited a list of behavioral norms that, as Wax put it, “was almost universally endorsed between the end of World War II and the mid-1960s.”
They were: “Get married before you have children and strive to stay married for their sake. Get the education you need for gainful employment, work hard, and avoid idleness. Go the extra mile for your employer or client. Be a patriot, ready to serve the country. Be neighborly, civic-minded, and charitable. Avoid coarse language in public. Be respectful of authority. Eschew substance abuse and crime.”
She later wrote in The Wall Street Journal, “The fact that the ‘bourgeois culture’ these norms embodied has broken down since the 1960s largely explains today’s social pathologies—and re-embracing that culture would go a long way toward addressing those pathologies.”
For her left-wing colleagues at Penn Law School, this list was beyond the pale. About half of her fellow professors of law—33 of them—condemned her in an open letter. And Wax wrote in the Journal, “My law school dean recently asked me to take a leave of absence next year and to cease teaching a mandatory first-year course.”
The Pennsylvania chapter of the left-wing National Lawyers Guild condemned her for espousing bourgeois values and questioned “whether it is appropriate for her to continue to teach a required first-year course.”
As regards traditional Jewish and Christian codes of conduct, just read the left’s contempt for Vice President Mike Pence’s religiosity. They fear him more than President Donald Trump solely for that reason.
One would think that leftists, as sensitive as they are to sexual harassment of women, would admire Pence’s career-long policy of never dining alone with a woman other than his wife. On the contrary, they mock him for it.
With such high self-esteem and no middle-class, bourgeois, or Judeo-Christian values to guide them, many leftists are particularly vicious people.
The opening skit of “Saturday Night Live” this past weekend—Matt Damon’s mockery of Judge Brett Kavanaugh—provided a timely example.
It is unimaginable that a prominent conservative group or individual would feature a skit mocking Kavanaugh’s accuser Dr. Christine Blasey Ford. Indeed, Kavanaugh noted his 10-year-old daughter’s prayer for his accuser, and a political cartoonist promptly drew a cartoon with her praying that God forgive her “angry, lying, alcoholic father for sexually assaulting Dr. Ford.”
Is there an equally prominent conservative public figure on the right who has ever said “F— Obama!” on national television just as Robert De Niro shouted, “F— Trump!” at the recent Tony Awards?
Now, why would De Niro feel he could shout an obscenity at the president of the United States with millions of young people watching him? Because he is not constrained by middle-class or Judeo-Christian moral values.
In Nietzsche’s famous words, De Niro, like other leftists, is “beyond good and evil,” as Americans understood those terms until the 1960s.
In 2016, at a Comedy Central roast of actor Rob Lowe, the butt of the jokes was Ann Coulter, not Lowe. They mostly mocked her looks, and if there is something crueler than publicly mocking a woman’s looks, it’s hard to identify. For example, “Saturday Night Live” cast member Pete Davidson said, “Ann Coulter, if you’re here, who’s scaring the crows away from our crops?”
There surely are mean conservatives—witness some of the vile comments by anonymous conservative commenters on the internet. And it is a moral scandal that Ford has received death threats.
The difference in left-wing meanness is the meanness of known—not anonymous—people on the left. They don’t hide behind anonymity because they do not feel bound by traditional notions of civility, for which they have contempt.
Now you can understand why the left hates Pence, a man who has, by all accounts, led a thoroughly honorable life. He—and other evangelical Christians and Orthodox Jews—tries to live by a code that is higher than him.
That ethic is what Ubermenschen seek to destroy. They are succeeding
