Register nothing....It is none of their business

I saw this on Freedom Outpost.   I have been busy with Scout stuff for the past couple of days.    I have been paying to what is going on in CT and NY.  Those politicians have started up a hornets nest up there and a lot of people ain't gonna back down.  Those people that got screwed when they registered late, and have been told that they have to turn in those weapons or get rid of them, kinda let the cat out of the bag as far as the leftist collectivist statist Democrat politicians have planned.   Many people will defy the law and after a few die in midnight raids by the state police, the rest of them will not go quietly into that long night and it will get nasty.

Town Hall: CT Gov. Malloy References Constitution – Patriot Shouts “Why Don’t You Read It Sometime!”

Last night in Milford, Connecticut, a town hall meeting took place. Connecticut Governor Dannel Patrick Malloy, who signed into law a mandatory gun registration bill this year that criminalizes once law abiding citizens, was in attendance. In doing so, not only was Malloy attacking the Second Amendment of the United States, but as I have previously pointed out, he attacked his own State Constitution. However, during the meeting as Governor Malloy was addressing a particular statement of a gentleman in attendance, he made reference to the US Constitution. A lone female voice can be overheard exclaiming, "Why don't you read it sometime!"

Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman held the microphone as a small business owner spoke to Malloy, saying that he was at a disadvantage in his linen supply business because adjacent states have a lower wage structure. As a result, restaurants in the area were outsourcing their business. The full video can be viewed here.
"I think that's not only a state issue," Malloy said, "but we've got this thing called the Constitution, so it makes it a little difficult to do some of the things you suggest."
At the twenty second mark, you can hear the voice of Linda Czaplinski from Oxford, Connecticut calling out to Malloy, "Why don't you read it sometime!"
According to her friend, and now mine, Palin Smith, who is also the gentleman videoing the event, "She is a gunslinger, our verbal Annie Oakley, our Joan of Arc in Connectcut."
Indeed, Linda is not one to back down from calling out gun grabbing politicans. Just take a look at this confrontation last year as she schools Senator Chris Murphy at a town hall meeting at the Art Gallery of Mancheter Community College.

John Cinque, who I told you about the other day, was supposed to attend the event. Sadly, he was unable to do so, but according to Smith, there are attempts being made to have talks between Cinque and Joe Visconti, who is seeking to unseat Governor Malloy.
So far tens of thousands of Connecticut patriots have refused to register their guns, even though they have been sent letters demanding that they surrender their weapons and have even had state police claim that they sound un-American and anti-law. Some patriots have even issued a warning to those that would seek to confiscate their weapons.
Interestingly enough, today marks the 178th anniversary of the fall of the Alamo. It looks like the new Alamo is Connecticut. Let's pray and lend our support to our fellow patriots in the "Constitution State," hoping that they will stand firm and fast against the reincarnation of the same tyranny that oppressed the North during the days of our founding fathers.

The New APP for marking "Dangerous Gun Owners"

This is rich....Some company is making an APP where you can *narc* on your neighbor if you believe that he is a "Gun Nut".   Talking about doing the work for STASI the ATF,FBI,CIA,IRS,DHS,NSA and other alphabet federal and state agencies that want you to squeal on your neighbors.  Wonder if they will get extra food rations in the Obama economy for pimping out their neighbors.   Have a dispute with your neighbor, call the federal government and say that the person that you don't like is an "extremist" and pop a cold one, relax in the lawn chair and watch your neighbor's house get tossed, their dogs shot and if they are lucky, they will only be splayed out in their yard.  If they are unlucky, they will be on the way to the morgue because of the propensity of the local law enforcement to do a "hard knock" on people that they might have a problem with.  If I sound like I am bashing the police..I am not, I remember when "Police Officer" meant "Peace Officer".  Well that shows my age I guess.  I don't care for the militarization of the Police.  I see tragedy happening if this APP gets off the ground.  Even though the designers say that they have "safeguards" to prevent "abuse"...Yeah right.....You believe that?  Well I have some oceanfront property in Nebraska I will sell you.  You can watch the sun rise in the west sitting on your balcony while sipping some Starbucks.  Small bills, non-sequential numbers if you please.  I remember something during my research a while back on the Stasi the East German security police.  1 out of 7 "Osties" spied on their neighbors for either money, usually extra rations or privileges.  I can see the same thing happen here.  What happened to our freedom, people are willing to give up our birthright for some extra government cheese.

An App For ‘Marking Dangerous Gun Owners’ Ready For Abuse By Anti-Gun Crowd

July 10, 2013 by
Geo Gun Marker, a smartphone app created by Walkingtools, which describes itself as “a loose confederation of software and related art or education projects,” allows users to electronically log the locations of “potentially unsafe guns and gun owners.”
A description of the app, available at the Google Play store, reads as follows:
Geolocate Dangerous Guns and Owners with the Gun Geo Marker. Geolocation means marking dangerous sites on the App’s map so that you and others can be aware of the risks in your neighborhood.
The Gun Geo Marker operates very simply, letting parents and community members mark, or geolocate, sites associated with potentially unsafe guns and gun owners. These locations are typically the homes or businesses of suspected unsafe gun owners, but might also be public lands or other locations where guns are not handled safely, or situations where proper rights to own or use any particular type of firearm may not exist. Electronically marking these locations can help others in the area learn about their geography of risk from gun accidents or violence. No matter what your safety concern with firearms might be, you should feel free to use this tool to provide the most accurate information you can such that others can make their own safety decisions.
The app states that it is to be used to electronically log the location of only “potentially unsafe guns and gun owners”— but judging by the gun control proposals pushed by anti-gun zealots throughout the Nation over the past several months, it’s obvious that there is no way of knowing who classifies what as a dangerous gun or gun owner.
Never fear, the app makers offer some guidelines.
Here’s who they say you shouldn’t mark:
  • Hunters or gun enthusiasts who safely store and properly enjoy their weapons in the field, or at local firing ranges for recreational purposes.
  • You should not be concerned merely because your neighbors are a member of any national gun advocacy organization. The actual threat – just to cite the best known org – that the National Rifle Association (NRA) and its kin present to you and your children is political.
  • Finally, there is at least one particular situation in which you should certainly not use the Walkingtools Gun Geo Marker. If you have direct, personal knowledge or even a suspicion that guns are being used in context of organized criminal activity, then it may be extremely risky for you to mark related locations. You should forget about the Walkingtools Gun Geo Marker in all such cases, and instead consider getting appropriate law enforcement agencies involved in the situation.
The last point is one that seems to negate the need for the app in the first place: if someone is using a gun in a dangerous (criminal) manner, call the police.
Here’s who the app makers want marked:
  • Note that while people who keep loaded firearms in their home should not necessarily have their location marked as a gun owner of concern, studies do show conclusively that guns in the home greatly increase the chances of death by gunfire for the owner, family members and visitors. This is especially the case with guns kept unlocked and loaded for “personal safety.”
  • First time gun owners or others who may not have not taken basic gun safety training, or who were not raised in a culture of gun safety, represent a real and present danger to their community, themselves and their family members. Their locations may be marked at any time. Bear in mind that these people are most often well meaning, thus as a concerned neighbor you might very well be able to educate them and therefore avoid marking their location.
  • A more obvious category of dangerous neighbor is someone who frequently displays or brandishes weapons, or those reveal their gun ownership status during normal conflict resolution. Such people are potentially a very serious concern, and the home or business locations of potential high conflict gun owners should be marked only when feasible. The same goes for any neighbor whose children speak frequently of their parent’s gun ownership, or who talk about guns as a potential tools for conflict resolution.
  • There are many locations, such as remote public or private lands where the discharge of firearms is legal. If you frequent such a location, you are likely a gun owner yourself and moreover, you probably have a strong interest in re-establishing safety standards at these sites.
And here are some options for marking gun threats in the app:
  • “Possible unlocked/loaded/unsafe storage”
  • “Possible insufficient training”
  • “Guns and unsupervised children”
  • “Guns and substance abuse”
  • “Possible medical related concern”
  • “Neighborhood talk, unsafe”
  • “Possible high conflict, armed neighbor”
  • “Possible out of place, large arsenal”
  • “Documented/frequent unlawful discharge”
  • “Possible illegal weapons on premises”
  • “Possible prohibited persons”
  • “Possible anti-government/terror threat”
  • “Other concern (describe)”
Perhaps a better—and less obviously made for and by people who dislike guns— version of the app would simply let people mark the locations of potentially dangerous people? Of course, an even better option would be for folks to mind their own business and focus on their own self-preservation and family protection without resorting to an app designed to spread gossip about gun owners.

Why does Obama and the Democrats have a hardon for Gun Control....?

Because his fellow traveler Sarah Brady is a socialist, JUST LIKE HE IS! Thank GOD for Owl Gore's Internet. Note the little blurb in the lower right hand corner.   How 'bout that....?   This isn't about guns...it is about CONTROL.
The small print reads:  "from remarks made to liberal U.S. Senator Howard Metzenbaum (he was actually a communist) as she lobbied in support of a ban on semi-automatic firearms.
How odd that this surfaces now. Sarah Brady trots out her useful idiot husband, to champion their gun grabbing cause when in reality, she, like all Democrats, wants total control over the population.

U.N overwhelmingly approve Global ARMS Trade treaty.

I just saw this on Reuters.   I see nothing good coming out of this except a threat to our sovereignty.   Our U.S. Constitution states that international treaty obligations will not be the law of the land if they conflict.  With the bend over crowd in D.C I can see them trying to push this anyway.  All it would take in a few more years of indoctrinations and a new generation will cede our freedom away in the name of internationalism.  We don't need our nationalism, our American Pride, the things that made America Unique in the world.  I see the U.N crowd trying to pressure the U.S. to conform to this like all the other crap that they push from global warming to reparations for the past misdeeds.  The United Nations in my personal opinion is a corrupt, self serving Anti-American organization that has nothing but disdain for us since they view us as a threat to their world control.   I see Obama and crowd using this as another lever against the 2nd amendment.   If the Democrats are successful in seizing the house in 2014 as well as the senate getting some more senate seats, I can see them rolling over and legislating the 2nd amendment away.  This would give Obama and crowd legislative cover to push this agenda.

This treaty will supposedly be used to roll in all the illegal arms traders that supply arms to all these conflicts in the globe.  Like Russians and the Chinese will go along with this?    Yeah right. I have a bridge to sell you, small bills non sequential numbers please.   Back in the cold war days the Commiepinko Soviets will provide AK's to anybody that would use them against the West, well that policy hasn't changed much, the Chinese using the same pattern of weapons will also supply them to anybody.  This treaty  will be used to flog the United States, especially with the 2nd amendment and try to force us to comply.   This will get ugly fast once that happens.

Y'all noticed that Obama pulled support for this before the elections, he didn't want to take a chance of this being used against him.  Now that the election is over all of a sudden he supports it again and all those suckers that believed that he cares for the 2nd amendment just got punked.   Sucks to be you...and thanks for screwing the rest of us who tried to tell you that he would do this and you poo'ed our warnings that the Messiah wouldn't do such a thing...Thanks a lot you Bastards.

U.N. overwhelmingly approves global arms trade treaty

By Louis Charbonneau
UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - The 193-nation U.N. General Assembly on Tuesday overwhelmingly approved the first treaty on the global arms trade, which seeks to regulate the $70 billion business in conventional arms and keep weapons out of the hands of human rights abusers.
There were 155 votes in favor, 3 against and 22 abstentions. Venezuela - which had said it planned to abstain - Zimbabwe, Dominican Republic, Sierra Leone and Vanuatu were not allowed to vote because they were in arrears on their U.N. dues.
U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon welcomed the vote, saying the treaty "will make it more difficult for deadly weapons to be diverted into the illicit market and ... will help to keep warlords, pirates, terrorists, criminals and their like from acquiring deadly arms."
Iran, Syria and North Korea last week prevented a treaty-drafting conference at U.N. headquarters from reaching the required consensus to adopt the treaty. That left delegations that support it no choice but to turn to a General Assembly vote to adopt it.
The Iranian, Syrian and North Korean delegations cast the sole votes against the treaty on Tuesday.
Iran, which is under a U.N. arms embargo over its nuclear program, is eager to ensure its arms imports and exports are not curtailed, while Syria's government is embroiled in a two-year civil war and relies on arms from Russia and Iran, envoys said.
North Korea is also under a U.N. arms embargo due to its nuclear weapons and missile programs.
The treaty will be open for signature on June 3 and will enter into force 90 days after the 50th signatory ratifies it. Mexican U.N. Ambassador Luis Alfonso de Alba told reporters it normally takes two to three years for a treaty to come into force, but said he hoped it would happen sooner in this case.
Major arms producers China and Russia joined Cuba, Bolivia, Nicaragua and other countries in abstaining.
RUSSIA TAKING A HARD LOOK
A number of countries, led by India, which also abstained, complained the treaty favored exporting over importing states. Russia said Moscow would take a hard look at the treaty before deciding whether to sign it.
Several delegates told Reuters the treaty's effectiveness would be limited if major arms exporters refuse to sign it.
The United States, the world's No. 1 arms exporter, voted in favor of the treaty despite fierce opposition from the National Rifle Association (NRA), a powerful U.S. pro-gun lobbying group.
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said in a statement the U.N. adopted "a strong, effective and implementable Arms Trade Treaty that can strengthen global security while protecting the sovereign right of states to conduct legitimate arms trade."
"Nothing in this treaty could ever infringe on the rights of American citizens under our domestic law or the Constitution, including the Second Amendment," he added, referring to the U.S. constitutional amendment that guarantees the right to bear arms.
The NRA opposes the treaty and has vowed to fight to prevent its ratification by the U.S. Senate when it reaches Washington. The NRA says the treaty will undermine domestic gun rights, a view the U.S. government has strongly rejected.
Syrian U.N. Ambassador Bashar Ja'afari repeated that his government opposes the arms trade treaty because it does not ban the sale of weapons to non-state actors and "terrorists" like those it says are active in Syria. The civil war there has claimed at least 70,000 lives, according to U.N. estimates.
Syria routinely refers to rebels trying to oust President Bashar al-Assad as "terrorists" backed by foreign governments.
The treaty does not ban transfers to armed groups, but says all arms transfers should be subjected to rigorous risk and human rights assessments first.
British Prime Minister David Cameron hailed the vote as a "landmark agreement that will save lives and ease the immense human suffering caused by armed conflict around the world."
SCRUTINY ON HUMAN RIGHTS
Mexico issued a statement on behalf of 98 U.N. member states saying, "an effective implementation of this treaty will make a real difference for the people of the world."
U.N. member states began meeting on March 18 in a final push to end years of discussions and hammer out a binding international treaty to end the lack of regulation over cross-border conventional arms sales.
Arms control activists and rights groups have said a treaty was needed to halt the uncontrolled flow of arms and ammunition that they say fuels wars, atrocities and rights abuses.
The Arms Trade Treaty aims to set standards for all cross-border transfers of conventional weapons. It would also create binding requirements for states to review all cross-border arms contracts to ensure that arms will not be used in human rights abuses, terrorism or violations of humanitarian law.
"The agreement of the Arms Trade Treaty sends a clear message to arms dealers who supply warlords and dictators that their time is up," said Anna Macdonald of the global development group Oxfam.
Amnesty International's Frank Jannuzi said the NRA, which claimed credit last year for persuading the United States to block the treaty in July 2012, failed this time.
"Iran, Syria and North Korea blocked consensus at the U.N., while the NRA cynically, and ultimately unsuccessfully, tried to erode the U.S. government's support through a campaign of lies about the treaty," Jannuzi said.
The main reason the arms trade talks took place at all is that the United States, the world's biggest arms trader, reversed U.S. policy on the issue after President Barack Obama was first elected and decided in 2009 to support a treaty.

DHS buying more ammo.....again

I have been afraid to go shooting much because I would have to dip into what I call my "Combat stock".  I wonder if that is what the intent is, force people to abstain from shooting for fear of running out of ammo and a skill that is not used tends to atrophy,  Also with the cost being high, it forces people to choose between bullets and bills.  I also wonder if this is the intent to inflict pain on the gun owning populace.   In the past the elitist would impose "sin" taxes on various activities that they consider "harmful" like booze and cigarettes.  I wonder if this is a back door tax on ammo due to the cost.
I was reading the drudge report and another report made it out that the DHS is buying more ammo...again and Big Sister is refusing to answer the query of congress about the large amount of ammo purchases.  I will cut and past the associated article.

Big Sis Ignores Congressman’s Demand For Briefing on Bullet Buys

“Congress deserves an answer” on huge ammo purchases

Janet Napolitano has ignored a letter written by New Jersey Congressman Leonard Lance calling for the Department of Homeland Security chief to attend a congressional briefing and provide an explanation as to why the DHS has committed to purchasing more than 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition over the last year.
Lance, who first promised to investigate the matter during a Tea Party event on March 15, sent a letter five days later noting how there was “growing public concern surrounding the Department’s procurement of ammunition.”
“He is not asking for Napolitano to testify but to give us a congressional briefing because Congress wasn’t aware of it. It deserves an answer,” Lance spokesman Todd Mitchell told the Daily Record.
Over a week after the letter was sent, Lance’s office has still not received a response, similar to how 15 other members of Congress were stonewalled by the DHS when they demanded to know if the huge bullet purchases were an attempt by the federal agency to restrict ammunition supplies.
Instead of a formal explanation, the federal agency released a glib statement to the media claiming the amount of ammunition purchased was not abnormal, that the bullets were bought in bulk “because it’s cheaper for the agency,” and that the rounds were for training purposes only.
However, the DHS has completely failed to address the fundamental flaw in their explanation. Most of the bullets purchased are hollow point rounds which are twice as expensive as full metal jacket bullets, rendering the claim the agency is buying in bulk to save money redundant.
As former Marine Richard Mason told reporters with WHPTV News in Pennsylvania earlier this month, “We never trained with hollow points, we didn’t even see hollow points my entire four and a half years in the Marine Corps.”
Earlier this week, a weapons manufacturer who supplies ammunition to the federal government told the nationally syndicated Savage Nation radio show that the ammo purchases were an attempt to “control the amount of market that’s available on the commercial market at any time,” by forcing manufacturers to hold back stock.
Ammunition is in short supply across the country, with police departments being forced to barter between themselves to meet demand while gun stores across America have resorted to bullet rationing.
Earlier this week, the DHS put out a solicitation asking for 360,000 more bullets to be delivered to the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Artesia, New Mexico, the same destination for 240,000 hollow point rounds which were purchased only last month.
Last week, retired United States Army Captain Terry M. Hestilow sent a letter to Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) warning that the ammo purchases represent “a bold threat of war by that agency (DHS), and the Obama administration, against the citizens of the United States of America.”

Let the Snitching begin.....

I am a student of history as my friends and the people that read my blog regularly will attest to.  When I heard this from JPFO and I am kinda surprised that this information took this long to be released.   I am surprised that they didn't start the "snitching" program earlier.   in the defunct East Germany, 1 out of 7 East Germans were snitches for the Stasi the East German secret Police.  Nothing like turning neighbors against neighbors for a few dollars or in the future for an extra food ration.  You have a problem with your neighbor...call the snitch hotline and watch the stack show up and toss your neighbors house without due process.

The State of New York has resorted to a "turn in your neighbor" program, for enforcement. Knowing that people will not willingly comply, the state has resorted to a tried and true tactic of turning the citizens upon each other to aggrandize the power of the state.

Does this strike a responsive historical cord, in anyone???

Press Release:
At a time when all of us are finding ourselves doing more with less, a reminder about a resource available from New York State that can assist you in your efforts to solve cases, prevent crime and better serve and protect your communities.
The state has established a toll-free tip line - 1-855-GUNSNYS (1-855- 486-7697) to encourage residents to report illegal firearm possession. The tip line also allows for information to be submitted via text -- individuals can text GUNTIP and their message to CRIMES (274637). While the state will provide the administrative support and fund the rewards, the investigation and validity of the tip will be up to each local department.
To spread the word about this free resource, New York State is planning a comprehensive campaign, including public service announcements that will air on television and radio stations across Upstate.
The tip line can provide your agencies with another avenue for receiving intelligence about crimes being committed in your jurisdictions. This initiative is designed for communities where no tip lines are in place and is not meant to replace existing gun tip lines.
Here's how the tip line operates:
The New York State Police staff the tip line 24 hours a day. Upon receiving a call, troopers will solicit as much information as possible regarding a firearm tip, while allowing the individual to remain anonymous. The caller will be informed that this program is not the traditional gun buyback program but rather is focused on identifying individuals who are carrying an illegal firearm.
The State Police will in turn contact the appropriate police agency with the lead to initiate an investigation. Staff from the Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) will follow up with that agency to determine the validity of the lead. Once the investigation is completed, the police agency would convey to DCJS the outcome of the investigation.
If the information leads to an arrest for the illegal possession of a firearm, the anonymous 'tipster' will be awarded $500. DCJS staff will handle all of the financial transactions.
State Police staff will explain the program in its entirety upon notifying an agency that a lead has been generated for their jurisdiction. If you have any questions in the interim, please contact DCJS Deputy Commissioner Tony Perez in the Office of Public Safety at 518-485-7610.
