The Ukraine is getting robbed by Russia and the world stands by and does nothing. The pisser is that they were expecting us to help. Back in 1994 when the Ukraine gave up their nuclear arms, it was in the promise that we and Europe would help them if they ever got attacked. Well they are getting attacked and we and the Europeans folded like a camp chair(interesting analogy for that describes the messiah), but I digress. Well in 2009 when Obungler sent Hillery to do a "reset" of our relations and it didn't work. Obama unilaterally pulled a missile shield from Poland and Eastern Europe with no concessions from the Russians.
well Obama also promised Putin that he would have more flexibility after the 2012 election and he does. He has thrown our ally and our promise in the dirt, I doubt any other nation will believe anything we say. Politically, the Ukraine is next door to Russia so it is easier for them to get there than we can. But after 13 years of war, our equipment is tired and wore out as our troops, and there is no political will to step up and help. The last country that we promised to help in case they were attacked was South Vietnam and we know how that went.
What happened was that the North invaded the South to unify the country, despite the treaty commitments we had with the South Vietnamese, The Anti-war democrats were firmly ensconced in the Congress, And the political will wasn't there, Gerald Ford had replaced Richard Nixon whom had narrowly avoided impeachment by resigning, the funny thing is that Obama has done far worse than Nixon and the congress refuses to push through impeachment hearings, mostly because the democrats control the senate and that is where the hearing would be held at.
Well after 5 years of Obama and trillions of debt, we are much lessened as a country, and we refuse to honor treaty commitments because Obama is only vicious to the GOP, and the media will cover for him, but overseas the media isn't so in love or have soo much invested in the messiah so they tend to report the truth, not the fantasy that is spun by the propaganda arm of the Democrats Mainstream Media.
After this, I doubt any other country will trust the United States to keep its word, and I guess that is by design since Obama has promised "hope and change" and we have been changed as a nation, and not for the better.

I made it back, I had gone camping with the Boy Scouts and I drove back Sunday afternoon, The scheduler worked! I had preloaded 3 things into the scheduler so I would have something pop up in my blog while I was gone and it worked! I was impressed, I had never really used this feature before. I like to put something up at least once a day on my little corner of the internet and I hate leaving it unattended for several days when I go out of town on a camping trip. I will use the scheduler more frequently rather than leave "dead air" so to speak when I have to go somewhere. But I digress. I was driving home and I was thinking of what song to use for my "Monday Music" and I haven't decided and I have this song on my phone along with many others that I play through the "Bluetooth Audio Stream" in my car, well it came on and I decided to use it today. I always liked the Bangles (Besides being hot, I am a guy of course) I considered them very talented musicians...to the scale of Meatloaf? or Fleetwood Mac or KISS or AC/DC...No......But way better than that douche-nozzle bieber that keeps making the news nowadays for various escapades.
"Going Down To Liverpool" is a song written by Kimberley Rew for his group Katrina and The Waves, although best remembered by a cover done by The Bangles. The song was first released on the band's 1982 EP titled Shock Horror! (with the band then simply named The Waves) and also included on their 1983 debut album Walking on Sunshine, which was only released in Canada. The version included on both releases featured Rew on lead vocals.
When the band signed with major label Capitol Records, the song was re-recorded with Katrina Leskanich on lead vocals and included on their 1985 self-titled album . Although never released as a single, it was featured as the b-side of two of the bands' singles, Plastic Man and their breakthrough hit Walking on Sunshine.
American female band The Bangles covered the song on their 1984 major label debut album All Over the Place. The song features lead vocals by Debbi Peterson and it was released as the album's second single, one of only two singles with Peterson on lead vocals, the other being "Be With You". The song had been introduced by a friend to Vicki Peterson, who immediately liked it and urged the band to record a cover.
The single failed to chart in the USA, and became a very minor UK hit
in April 1985, peaking at #79. The single's b-side was the album track
Dover Beach, while the 12" single featured three songs from their Bangles EP on the b-side.
When the band found success with their subsequent album Different Light, "Going Down To Liverpool" was re-released as a single in the UK and Ireland in 1986, after the release of "If She Knew What She Wants", with new cover artwork and featuring the Different Light
album track "Let It Go". This time the single fared better but still
only became a minor hit, peaking at #56, while it became a top 40 hit in
Ireland peaking at #21.
The music video for the song, directed by Tamar Simon Hoffs,
features the band inside a car being driven around by a chauffeur, who
appears to be unimpressed by the group (at one point he turns off the
car radio, stopping the song). The car stops inside a tunnel and the
girls walk towards the end of it, which cuts to the band playing and
dancing over a red background. Leonard Nimoy played the part of the chauffeur; this came about due to a college friendship between Susanna Hoffs and Nimoy's son Adam.

Funny how things have turned out since this letter was published in 1949.
I also will post a pic that I found in one of the books that my dad had given me a long time ago, I remembered seeing this cartoon and later forgetting about it. I had scanned it and saved it on my computer as future Blog fodder.
This has made the rounds before I think about 4 years ago, but I decide to dust it off and post it. I also will be messing with the scheduler to see how that works since I will be camping this weekend so hopefully I will have small stuff show up on my blog until I return Sunday afternoon.
An economics professor at a local college made a
statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had
recently failed an entire class. That class had insisted that Obama's
socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be
rich, a great equaliser.
The professor then said "Okay, we will have an
experiment in this class on Obama's plan". All grades will be averaged
and everyone will receive the same grade so no one will fail and no one
will receive an A... (substituting grades for dollars - something
closer to home and more readily understood by all).
After the first test, the grades were averaged and
everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the
students who studied little were happy. As the second test rolled
around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the
ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they
studied little.
The second test average was a D! No one was happy. When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.
As the tests proceeded, the scores never increased
as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and
no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.
To their great surprise, ALL FAILED and the
professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because
when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great, but when
government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to
succeed.

end of any nation.

Once they finish insisting they're racist, the leading
objection Democrats offer to voter ID laws is the simple claim that
voter fraud doesn't really exist - that it's a figment of Republican
imaginations or just an out-and-out lie designed to justify ID laws that
can then be used to oppress minority votes.
I will even admit that at times I've found this claim mildly
persuasive, since I have a hard time imagining a fraud effort big and
sophisticated enough to make a difference without someone messing up and
getting the whole thing busted. But data tells another story, at least
in Nassau County, New York, where Long Island Newsday reports
the dead are quite active in local politics, and have been for some
time. The writer of the story doubts that what's happening is really
fraud, but it seems to me that the possibility is dismissed a bit
lightly:
Burwell is one of about 6,100 deceased people still
registered to vote in Nassau County, a Newsday computer analysis shows.
The former Wantagh resident, who died at age 74, is also among roughly
270 people that records show voted in Nassau County after dying, a group
that includes a man who voted 14 times since his death.
Newsday's analysis of voter registration and U.S. Social
Security Administration death records found more deceased registered
voters in Nassau County than any other New York county, accounting for
nearly a quarter of the 26,500 on the rolls statewide. Suffolk County
has about 2,490 deceased people registered to vote, with roughly 50
listed as voting after their death.
The votes attributed to the dead are too few, and spread
over 20 elections since 2000, to consider them a coordinated fraud
attempt. More likely is what investigators in other states have found
when examining dead voter records: Clerical errors are to blame, such as
a person's vote being assigned to a dead person with a similar name.
But the sloppy condition of the local voter rolls does
suggest that election officials are not utilizing all available methods
to maintain a clean list. Besides the dead voters, Newsday's analysis
also found more than 842,000 registered New York voters who records show
haven't cast a ballot in 10 years. Harvard University professor of
government Stephen Ansolabehere, an expert on voter list issues, said
those registrations are likely not current.
I have no doubt that some of these are indeed clerical
errors. But what of the guy who is recorded as having voted 14 times
since his death? That's some coincidence - that many clerical errors
attributed to one dead voter? What are the chances of that?
Also, if it's common for election volunteers to make mistakes
and mark down the wrong person as having voted, wouldn't we also be
hearing a lot of stories about live people showing up and being told
that they had already voted? Have you ever heard any such stories? I'm
not saying they've never happened but if they have they have definitely
not gotten very much attention.
Since it's extremely difficult for local clerk's offices to
keep tabs on people who have died and need to be removed from voter
rolls, why isn't a voter ID requirement a reasonable solution? It might
even help with the clerical errors, since election volunteers would
presumably be less likely to get a name wrong if they're looking at it
written out on an ID card.
The usual objection to this is that poor people are less
likely to have ID, and thus voter ID laws contain an inherent bias
against them. The simple solution would be to issue voter registration
cards, with photos, at the time people register to vote. Then you simply
require them to bring the card when they vote. Why is it fine to
require people to carry a license with them with they drive, but not to
carry a voter registration card when they vote?
Unless you want to make it easier to engage in voter
fraud. It's getting harder and harder for the left to offer up
plausible-sounding objections to this idea.
I kinda wish there was an intelligence test to vote...but that would be raciest or discriminatory or something....But these people votes cancels out ours...Can the republic be saved when the intelligence of the citizens have been dumbed down to the lowest common denominator.

I heard this song back in the late 70's and it was an intriguing song. I had forgotten about it until I happen to catch it on Sirius/XM on the 70's channel. I would surf from the 80's(my favorite) to the 70's and the 90's. I have a wide range of taste, I have 70's disco and songwriters to the 90's Coolio and Eminem and anything in between. Pilot of the Airwaves is a 1979 hit single by English singer-songwriter and actressCharlie Dore. The song reached No. 13 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and earned Dore the Record World New Female Artist of the Year, and an ASCAP award. The single also charted in Canada, Australia and Europe.
She was spotted by Island Records and signed to a solo recording and publishing deal by Chris Blackwell in 1978, later that year being flown to Nashville, Tennessee to work with producer Audie Ashworth at his Crazy Mama's studio. Dore continued to work with Littman, her guitarist and co-writer and the first album, Where To Now, featured many of the Nashville A team, including Charlie McCoy, Reggie Young, Sonny Curtis and David Briggs.
Island employed Joe Boyd to re-mix the album, but thought the album 'too country' and drafted in the British record producersAlan Tarney and Bruce Welch to re-record several tracks, including "Fear of Flying" and "Pilot of the Airwaves". The latter went on to become an enduring radio favorite, reaching #13 on the US Billboard Hot 100, earning Dore the Record World New Female Artist of the Year, an ASCAP award and charting in Canada, Australia and Europe.
Although an airplay hit, the single only reached number 66 on the UK Singles Chart, and Dore left Island for a deal with Chrysalis Records. I saw this on Freedom Outpost. I have been busy with Scout stuff for the past couple of days. I have been paying to what is going on in CT and NY. Those politicians have started up a hornets nest up there and a lot of people ain't gonna back down. Last night in Milford, Connecticut, a town hall meeting took place. Connecticut Governor Dannel Patrick Malloy, who signed into law a mandatory gun registration bill this year that criminalizes once law abiding citizens, was in attendance. In doing so, not only was Malloy attacking the Second Amendment of the United States, but as I have previously pointed out, he attacked his own State Constitution. However, during the meeting as Governor Malloy was addressing a particular statement of a gentleman in attendance, he made reference to the US Constitution. A lone female voice can be overheard exclaiming, "Why don't you read it sometime!"
Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman held the microphone as a small business owner spoke to Malloy, saying that he was at a disadvantage in his linen supply business because adjacent states have a lower wage structure. As a result, restaurants in the area were outsourcing their business.The full video can be viewedhere.
"I think that's not only a state issue," Malloy said, "but we've got this thing called the Constitution, so it makes it a little difficult to do some of the things you suggest."
At the twenty second mark, you can hear the voice of Linda Czaplinski from Oxford, Connecticut calling out to Malloy, "Why don't you read it sometime!"
According to her friend, and now mine, Palin Smith, who is also the gentleman videoing the event, "She is a gunslinger, our verbal Annie Oakley, our Joan of Arc in Connectcut."
Indeed, Linda is not one to back down from calling out gun grabbing politicans. Just take a look at this confrontation last year as she schools Senator Chris Murphy at a town hall meeting at the Art Gallery of Mancheter Community College.
John Cinque, who I told you about the other day, was supposed to attend the event. Sadly, he was unable to do so, but according to Smith, there are attempts being made to have talks between Cinque and Joe Visconti, who is seeking to unseat Governor Malloy.
So far tens of thousands of Connecticut patriots have refused to register their guns, even though they have been sent letters demanding that they surrender their weapons and have even had state police claim that they sound un-American and anti-law. Some patriots have even issued a warning to those that would seek to confiscate their weapons.
Interestingly enough, today marks the 178th anniversary of the fall of the Alamo. It looks like the new Alamo is Connecticut. Let's pray and lend our support to our fellow patriots in the "Constitution State," hoping that they will stand firm and fast against the reincarnation of the same tyranny that oppressed the North during the days of our founding fathers.

It has been a while since I have published a purely political piece making disparaging comments about the head of the Obama Junta. The SECDEF wants to cut us to a pre WWII military force, I could almost accept it if I knew that the so called savings would be used against the debt, but Obama and crew would use the money to fund more entitlements to keep them in power.

I got this email from my Dad whom is a retired Soldier, he had forwarded this to me. I figured that I would post this on the blog to get some more dissemination since I know a few veterans that read my blog. I don't know how successful this will be. Truth be told, I don't know the political leanings of the Armed forces anymore. I don't know how many of the troops still view Obama and his junta with favorable emotions. How many view him as still the messiah. If people wouldn't mind responding to this and give me their opinion, I would appreciate this. If it is true, then perhaps the word can be spread some more.
If you are

to those who may know veterans.
A movement has been started by our
armed forces to get out the vote in 2014. They are organizing
themselves, but this can be done by all of us. The President, the
Commander in Chief, has made the Rules of Engagement (ROE) so difficult,
that our troops are often killed before they can even get permission to
fight. Nothing has been done to stop our troops from being murdered by
the Afghanis they are training, either.
Now, the President wants the US to
sign on to the UNs International Criminal Court (ICC), which would allow the UN's ICC to arrest and try US
troops for War Crimes, without the legal protections guaranteed
under US Law, and from which there is no appeal.
The President, with his Democratic
control of the Senate, has nearly all the power. If the
Non-Establishment Republicans, and Conservatives, can take back the
Senate in 2014, our troops can once again be protected from unnecessary
danger. Please consider this, and send it on to your mailing lists.
Interestingly
enough, when GWB was president you heard about the military deaths in
Iraq and Afghanistan almost daily. With Obama in the White House, the
mainstream media has been strangely quiet. ---
More than 1,000 American
soldiers have lost their lives in Afghanistan in the last 27
months. This
is more than the combined total of the nine years before.
During the
last month, over 50 additional NATO and US servicemen have been
murdered, inside jobs by those who are hired to be a force for good in
Afghanistan.
The commander in chief is AWOL.
Not a peep, although he ordered the White House flag flown at half-staff
for the Sikhs that were killed. There is a deep disgust, a fury, growing in the ranks of
the military against the indifferent incompetence of this
president. It has taken on a dangerous tone. No one knows what to
do about him, but the anger runs deep as the deaths continue with no
strategic end in sight to the idiocy of this war. Obama has had 5 years
to end this futile insanity, during which time he has vacationed,
golfed, campaigned, and generally ignored the plight of our men and
women in uniform.
But, there is now a movement
afoot in the armed services to launch a massive get out the vote drive
against this president's lackeys in the senate
and the house, especially John Boehner and Mitch
McConnell.
Not just current active duty
types, but the National Guard, Reserves, the retired, and all other
prior service members. This is no small special interest group, but many
millions of veterans who can have an enormous impact on the outcome of
the November election if they all respond.
The one million military
retirees in Florida alone could mean an overwhelming victory in that
state if they all show up at the polls. It might not keep another one
hundred U.S. troops from dying between now and November, but a turn out
to vote by the military against this heart breaking lack of leadership
can make a powerful statement that hastens a change to the indifference
of this shallow little man who just lets our soldiers
die.
For those who have fought for it,
freedom has a taste the protected will never know.
