Midterms 2022 aftermath....musings

 This is what we expected......

well, this is what happened.....

    Needless to say I and many others were massively disappointing....I got excited about the election and I got the same feeling after the 2020 election....the second time I was wrong in guessing and surmising an election.  Normally I am pretty good about anticipating elections and i was right about everyone since 1984 but my streak was broken in 2020 and again in 2022.

     I will go by several states....First off in my Home state, with the exception of the Walker/Warnock which is going to a runoff, We elected Republicans in the State offices, Brian Kemp defeated the Hollywood Darling Stacey Abrams for the 2nd time and this time the margin wasn't razer thin and Stacey had to concede unlike last time and despite spending boucoup dollars, most of it from out of state, she was defeated.  Apparently most of the voters were happy in how he handled the covid crisis and ran the state.  Unfortunately a lot of that support didn't translate for Walker, the attack ads on Walker about his domestic issues were pounded in and reinforced with a lot of money from out of state because the donks knew that control of the senate was vital.  Same with all the other State offices went GOP except in heavy Donk areas.

In the Sunshine State Tuesday evening, Gov. Ron DeSantis cruised to a second term with an astounding near-20-point margin of victory over former Gov. Charlie Crist, and Sen. Marco Rubio routed challenger Rep. Val Demings by over 16 points. Both DeSantis and Rubio won the state's most populous county, 70-plus percent Hispanic Miami-Dade County -- DeSantis by double digits. Both Republican standard-bearers also won majority-Hispanic Osceola County, in the Orlando area, and DeSantis also flipped Palm Beach County from blue to red.

All other Florida Republicans running statewide also won, and Republicans also secured supermajority status in both the State Senate and the State House. U.S. congressional races in Florida that were labeled before the election as toss-ups, such as the 13th and 27th congressional districts, uniformly broke for Republicans -- and often not in a particularly close fashion. Some other states, such as Texas and Iowa, also had good election nights for Republicans; but in no state did the GOP perform better, up and down the ballot, than in Florida.

All of this is simply astonishing from Florida the one-time paradigmatic "swing" state that famously decided the 2000 presidential election by a paltry 537 votes out of nearly 6 million casts. Indeed, just four years ago, DeSantis himself eked out his first statewide victory over Democrat Andrew Gillum by a margin of 0.4%. And DeSantis' victory over Gillum was not even the closest statewide race in Florida that cycle; Rick Scott won his U.S. Senate race over Bill Nelson that same year by a microscopic 0.12% margin.

   And in Texas, Governor Abbott Thumped Soyboi Beto again.....I think this is the 3rd election Beto has lost, I think the Liberals in California ain't getting their bang for the buck with him.

        The dissection of the election has already begun, the GOP is trying to figure what the hell happened, I surmise part of it is that the Donks were successful in tying abortion to all the GOP candidates where the message from the GOP candidates were
it was returned to the States where it belongs after Roe vs Wade got overturned, but the democrats used soundbites and the lack of civics in school to scare the crap out of people especially the women who were told by all the social media that the coathangers were coming for them.  Also a lot of the younger people get their stuff from Toktok and other social media platforms and the GOP flat out don't have a lot of influence in a lot of social media platforms and it doesn't help that they are locked out and restricted on them.

 It didn't help the cause that some of the candidates that Former President Trump supported were not the best candidates and the Democrats and the Media were able to tie him to the GOP during the 2022 election cycle.  Sure he can draw the crowds, but to win elections, you have to get the middle of the road people and a lot of them don't like President Trump despite the record crime and inflation and supply problems, the democrats and media were able to mask the stench of their own turds by shoving President Trump in a not favorable light repeatedly to the moderates and this turned them off.

       The Ramifications are that the Donks hold the Senate, and Congress is divided, and this will slow but not stop Xidens agenda,  he and his handlers will still push more of the "Climate Change:, we will continue to have supply chain disruptions, record inflation and more crime as the soft on crime Soros supporting DA's continue to do "Catch and release" as they let criminals out to prey on citizens, but the DA's will go after the same citizens for defending themselves because the criminals are a means to an end, if a people don't have a means to defend themselves, then they have to depend on the government for protection and security and those of us that know history know what eventually happens.

   The media is already pushing the new "Covid Subvariant" with the donks holding the senate, it is easier for them to push their restrictions .....again.....there are no elections until 2024 and the democrats have figured the formula to win....and I believe that voting irregularities happened, especially in Arizona and Pennsylvania and Michigan.  I can see the power hungry donks flexing their muscles and punishing those dastardly voters that dared to challenge the power of the state.

 Meanwhile the democrats will be embolden because the asskicking they were expecting to get didn't materialize so they are embolden and double down on the foolishness that created all the problems we are dealing with right now.

      What will we get in 2024? probably more of the same with the same "irregularities" we saw in this election with the same playbook because it worked in 2020 and 2022, the donks will refine it for 2024.

    1. Hey Paul;

      You are correct, as long as they allow the piles of "mail in Votes" this will happen.

  2. Don't call what happened "irregularities". Call it by the correct word. CHEATING. Which the left engaged in at wholesale levels. TINVOWOOT

    1. Hey Daniel;

      I try to be polite normally, unless I am really pissed, I know that they cheated, and trying to get anybody to do anything about it is difficult, the 2020 election was proof of this.

    1. Hey Old NFO;

      I tend to agree, but I keep hoping that it will change, I really don't want to get to the 4th box of the political process yet.

  4. It isn't votes, it's ballots, and they are harvesting them left right and printer. The process is corrupted and the results show it.

    1. Hey Rocketdog;

      Agreed, They use the ballots and harvesting to get the numbers to get what they need to "pad" the count to win.
