Monday Music "More, More, More, By Andrea True Connection

I am continuing my string of "bugaloo" songs.  This discussion was started in the "Monster Hunter Nation, Hunters Unite", it is a facebook group with enthusiast of the ILOH "International Lord of Hate" A.K.A Larry Correia.  We were talking about what song would we use if we looked out of our window or glanced at our security camera and saw this.....

One of the alphabet bois lining up to take down your house...What would be your "Valhalla" song and you would set it up to play as you load up magazines and prepare yourself.

I figured it would scar the alphabet boys if they come busting in and hearing a song that is related to Disco and Porn in the 1970's.  What can I say, My humor is warped....I will look for some other hits from the 1970's and Disco for a few weeks to tie in with this theme, LOL

My copy of this song was on my copy of "Super Gold Hits from Ktel, and you can see my copy of "Saturday Night Fever in the background,

I had to go digging for it in my collection of records.

"More, More, More" is a song written by Gregg Diamond and recorded by American disco artist Andrea True (under the name Andrea True Connection). It was released in February 1976 and became her signature track and one of the most popular songs of the disco era. In the U.S., it reached number four on the Billboard Hot 100 and spent three weeks at number three on the Cashbox chart in July of that year. In Canada, it was a number-one hit.
The song was originally recorded in Jamaica where True, a porn star, had been appearing in a television commercial. An attempted coup prevented her from leaving the country with her wages from the commercial. Resourcefully, True called on Gregg Diamond to come down to Jamaica to write and record the song with her, along with other studio musicians which formed the backbone of the "Connection" project.
Buddah Records originally released the song only to discos in the winter of 1975/1976. The popularity of "More, More, More" was immense. Widespread listener interest convinced Buddah to release the single commercially in the spring. The song rose to number four on the Billboard Hot 100 and number twenty three on the soul singles chart. The single was a successful disco hit peaking at number two. Overseas, the song peaked at number five on the UK Singles Chart.

The Andrea True Connection's version of "More, More, More" has appeared in Whit Stillman's movie The Last Days Of Disco (1998) during scenes between Alice (Chloe Sevigny) and Tom (Robert Sean Leonard) at the disco and then back at Tom's place. The song is part of the movie's soundtrack album.
The Andrea True Connection's version of "More, More, More" has appeared in two episodes of The Simpsons. In the 2003 episode "Dude, Where's My Ranch?", after Moe Szyslak kidnaps David Byrne (who guest-starred in the episode as himself), a parody version of the song plays on the radio featuring Moe singing, "Moe, Moe, Moe! How do you like me? How do like me? Moe, Moe, Moe! Why don't you like me? Nobody likes me." The song is credited to "The Moe Szyslak Connection". The song also appears in the episode "Sweets and Sour Marge", where Disco Stu plays the song after "snorting" lines of sugar.

"More, More, More" also appears in the documentary Inside Deep Throat. The song appeared in the 2002 film Dahmer during a nightclub montage. In 2006, the song appeared in Click and was used during one of the flashback scenes. On the show The King of Queens, the episode "High Def Jam" opened with Doug Heffernan singing a parody version, "Doug, Doug, Doug". The song was featured in American Dad!, Season 3, Episode 2, "Meter Made". The late professional wrestler Larry Sweeney formerly used the song as his entrance theme.
Stevens' version of the song is used in adverts for the UK sofa company ScS. A version of the song by Dagny was used by Target in a commercial campaign introducing its line of new products in the fall of 2017.
Andrea True Connection's version appears in a 2019 commercial for Applebee's.

The National Security Implications of Boeing’s Woes

This article was in my email, my last post was on the 747, and now there is this post.  I want Boeing to "Fix Itself", having people and the United States looking at Airbus for products, especially for national security applications does have a security risk because Airbus is an European company and her loyalty wouldn't be to us in the United States but rather to the European Union first.  I know that it has to be a leadership problem, They need to bring "Alan Mulally" back to Boeing and move the headquarters back from Chicago and move it to where the engineers hang out at would be a plus.

Boeing is misfiring on several cylinders. Its third-quarter results included resurgent charges on key defense programs, bringing Boeing Defense and Space (BDS) program losses to $11.5 billion since 2014. There is a strong likelihood of additional BDS overruns and delays. Worse, CEO Dave Calhoun announced that Boeing will not launch a new commercial jetliner until the next decade, guaranteeing further serious market share losses to Airbus and gravely endangering Boeing’s ability to design a new jet.

None of this is good for investors, and the company’s stock has underperformed its peers by a wide margin over the past 12 months and well before. It also is not good for the long-term health of the U.S. aerospace industry, the broader U.S. economy or the aerospace workforce. But one overlooked consequence of Boeing’s woes is the possible impact on U.S. defense. There are three areas of concern.

First, BDS execution problems mean the U.S. military services will have to keep using older, less reliable systems that are costly to operate. With KC-46 and T-7 delays, even the oldest KC-135 tankers and T-38 trainers will soldier on well past 60 years of age. Pentagon efforts to procure interim or supplemental systems—an Air Force/Navy trainer or the Air Force’s KC-Y tanker—are uncertain. Other antiquated platforms slated for replacement by Boeing aircraft, such as Air Force UH-1N helicopters or the VC-25A Air Force One, also need to wait for their delayed successors.

Second, an industrial base decision might have been made for the Pentagon, whether it wants one or not. BDS losses reflect low bids on relatively low-tech programs; it is not clear whether Boeing can hope to bid on new programs that require more advanced engineering, particularly if past performance is a key selection factor. Defense Department annoyance about those delayed aircraft could disadvantage Boeing in future contests.

Boeing could also be disadvantaged by Pentagon concerns about the company’s in-house design capabilities. Boeing’s 2015 Long-Range Strike Bomber loss to Northrop Grumman in part reflected Air Force concerns about Boeing’s strategy of relying on Lockheed Martin for much of the design work. Relying on Saab for much of the T-7 design may be viewed as a risky tactic, too. Boeing-Lockheed Martin’s Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft loss might also imply weakness in Boeing’s approach to joint bids.

The Air Force’s Next-Generation Air Dominance program looms large over this. If it excludes Boeing, and if the Navy’s F/A-XX either stalls or excludes Boeing, we can assume there are now two competitors for new fixed-wing military contracts, not three. The Defense Department does not want less competition for future programs and has signaled opposition to mergers resulting in that outcome, but it might have to live with that reality anyway.

Finally, the nation’s ability to design large aircraft must be considered. The C-17 fleet is wearing out at a rate faster than expected, and the C-5M is getting quite old, too. Given the relevance of strategic airlifters for operations in the Pacific, the Pentagon will need to start funding a new program sometime in the next 10 years.

Yet widebody jets have some of the highest entry barriers of any product. Only two countries—the U.S. and the Soviet Union—built their own twin-aisle jets or strategic airlifters; European countries were only able to build these when they abandoned national dreams and pooled resources to create Airbus. Japan’s Kawasaki C-2 may technically be a widebody airlifter, but it has a very limited payload.

Even in the U.S., only Boeing, McDonnell Douglas and Lockheed built a widebody. Lockheed finished C-5 and L-1011 production in the 1980s; it would be a very difficult path to recreate that capability.

Thus, it is down to Boeing, which last launched an all-new transport in 2004. While the 777-X is a major derivative, it is not a clean-sheet design. Calhoun’s new jetliner deferral means Boeing design teams will not hire new talent, resulting in smaller numbers and a much older demographic by the 2030s. We cannot rule out mass layoffs of these engineers, either.

In the late 1980s and early 1990s, the C-17 program was plagued by serious overruns and delays, largely because McDonnell Douglas’s aircraft design teams were in a state of atrophy. Boeing is at risk of entering that phase and perhaps an even worse one.

By the time the Air Force starts a new strategic lifter, new management may have turned the company around. Or perhaps Boeing’s operating units will then be owned by other companies. But if it stays on its present course, there is a strong risk that Boeing might not be up to the job. The only company in the world that could take its place, ironically, might be Airbus.

End Of an Era The Last 747 rolls off the Assy line

I wanted to post this last week but I was too busy, between Thanksgiving and New Years, we are busy, unless the plane is broke, she is flying passengers, so when a plane comes in, we fix her as fast as we safely can and return her to revenue service, the flying public is relying on us to get to where they have to go during the holiday season.  I kinda wished my employer had bought some 747-8's but it wasn't to be, the plane really didn't work with our routes that the planes we already had could handle so we took a hard pass.  It is a shame, the 747 is a plane like no other.

747

SEATTLE—Boeing rolled out the last 747 from its Everett assembly site in Washington on Dec. 6, marking the end of the line for the world’s first widebody transport and bringing down the curtain on an unprecedented 55 years of continuous production of the twin-aisle model.

Watched mostly in silence by Boeing workers, the final 747, a -8F freighter, emerged into the cold night from Everett’s Building 40-21—the original 747 production line facility built on land hacked out of virgin evergreen forest 56 years ago. Line number LN 1574 will be painted and completed over the coming months before delivery to cargo carrier Atlas Air in early 2023.

Although the 747 will continue to ply the air routes for years to come, particularly in its final 747-8 freighter guise, it is the impact of the passenger-carrying model on world air travel in the 1970s and beyond for which the aircraft will be forever remembered. When introduced into service the double-deck, twin-aisle 747 represented an astonishing increase in scale over the single-aisle 707s and Douglas DC-8s of the day—most of which carried around 140 passengers.

As the late Pierre Sparaco, Aviation Week’s former Paris Bureau Chief who attended the first 747 roll out in 1968, later recalled, “suddenly we were admiring a 363-seat giant that could accommodate up to 490 passengers in a high-density cabin configuration. This was an unbelievable change of gauge, the dawn of a new age or, in other words, the end of elitist air transportation and the emergence of mass flying in ‘tourist’ class—an unprecedented initiative in terms of marketing and fare levels.”

747

But the 747 did more than democratize air travel and influence social interaction on a global scale. The technology behind its development—particularly the availability of powerful, yet quieter, high bypass turbofans—also enabled the birth of a follow-on wave of first-generation widebodies that combined to transform the industry.

Perhaps the most enduring irony of the 747 is that its success as both an airliner and freighter was based on the late design decision to give the aircraft a single wide deck. That move was driven by the belief that supersonic aircraft would quickly relegate the majority of 747s to be modified into freighters.

The late Joe Sutter, director of engineering for the original 747, once commented to the author that “of all the decisions we made, the most important was selecting the single wide deck. It gave us an airplane that was efficient and extremely flexible and was one of the main reasons for its success.” Sized to accommodate two 8 x 8-ft. seagoing containers side-by-side, its broad dimensions created not only the first widebody but also ensured a long life as a cargo carrier that would ultimately extend production to 2022—far beyond Boeing’s expectations.

With the end of 747 production, Boeing is preparing to bolster spares provisioning for the in-service fleet through Boeing Global Services. Following the consolidation of the 767/KC-46A and 747 line functions in 2016, and the transition of the 787 to Charleston, South Carolina, in 2021, the clearance of the 747 line will open up even more spare capacity in Everett. Boeing says no decisions have yet been taken on what to do with the space. Boeing meanwhile continues development of the 777X which—as the 777-9—is designed to fill the 747 passenger capacity slot from 2025 onward and—as the 777-8F—will become Boeing’s new largest freighter from 2027 onward.

To-date Boeing has delivered more than 1,570 747s, the bulk of which were 747-400s. In all, including various sub-models, Boeing has produced: 205 747-100s; 45 short-bodied 747SPs; 393 747-200s; 81 stretched upper deck 747-300s; 694 747-400s, the last -400F variant being delivered at the end of 2009; and, following the switch to production of the 747-8 in 2010, 48 747-8I passenger models and—pending completion of the final aircraft—106 -8F freighters so far.

"Die Hard" IS a Christmas Movie!

I had fun putting this post together.

I ran across this right after Christmas and decided to post it on my blog for NEXT Christmas, I also have a meme that I use in December everytime the movie comes up.

My Wife doesn't think that "Die Hard" is a Christmas movie...I Disagree, I bought a couple of Christmas themed T-shirts and one of them looks like this..

The shirt will be washed then packed away for reappearance in 2022

die-hard-star-declares-film-christmas-cult-classic

The debate over whether Die Hard is a Christmas movie or not rages anew every December. Fans of the Bruce Willis action classic will likely litigate this until the end of time. That debate extends to the cast and crew, as well. Recently, another star of the film weighed in to say yes, Die Hard is as Christmas as It’s a Wonderful Life.

De’voreaux White, who played Argyle, John McClane’s limo driver, recently wrote a piece for Newsweek about his time on the Bruce Willis classic and how he landed the gig. About halfway into the column, White lays the Christmas debate bare.

Die Hard is one of the original action-packed movies, however, it’s also a Christmas cult classic,” he wrote. “That’s what it is; Argyle said so!”

White joins a growing list of people that worked on Die Hard that say it’s a Christmas movie. That includes the movie’s writer and director.

John McTiernan said his view on the movie changed over the years.

“We hadn’t intended it to be a Christmas movie, but the joy that came from it is what turned it into a Christmas movie,” the director said in a video for the American Film Institute last year.

Writer Steven E de Souza was unequivocal. Die Hard, he said, is more of a Christmas movie than White Christmas, the Bing Crosby classic. He laid out his argument during an appearance on the  Script Apart podcast last year.

Steven E de Souza created a checklist that he believes all Christmas movies must meet. You can watch his dissertation on the subject below. But if you don’t have four minutes to spare, in short, he said Die Hard checks all of the boxes and then some.

If you think Die Hard is a Christmas movie, Bruce Willis is here to ruin the party, pal. The star of the movie says it’s not, and he wants you to stop asking him about it.

Fans and critics have wanted him to end this debate for years, but he never weighed in until 2018, 30 years after the movie came out.

Die Hard is not a Christmas movie,” he said through gritted teeth at the end of his Comedy Central Roast. “It’s a g** da** Bruce Willis movie.”

This full-throated rebuke came after an evening of abuse from his friends and hired-gun comedians. So, take it with a grain of salt.

If he believes this way, then he’s in the minority. An IGN poll found that 78 percent of people believe Die Hard is a Christmas film. More than 18,000 people voted in favor of the idea. Only 5,000 said it’s not.

And it’s not an arbitrary distinction. One of the biggest criteria for a Christmas movie, for most of us, is that you watch the movie at Christmas time. You wouldn’t watch Rudolph or Frosty in June. A survey from DISH found that more people watched Die Hard at Christmas than they did Home Alone, Miracle on 34th Street, or The Santa Clause

Another meme that I have on my phone that I trot out in December.

Monday Music "Breaking The Chain" By Dokken

I started this theme back in November of 2019?...With a couple of interruptions it has been consistent...Dang.

Saw this meme and *rescued it from farcebook*, why? because I am a humanitarian, that's why.

I am continuing my string of "bugaloo" songs.  This discussion was started in the "Monster Hunter Nation, Hunters Unite", back in November of 2019? it is a Facebook group with enthusiast of the ILOH "International Lord of Hate" A.K.A Larry Correia.  We were talking about what song would we use if we looked out of our window or glanced at our security camera and saw this.....

One of the alphabet bois lining up to take down your house...What would be your "Valhalla" song and you would set it up to play as you load up magazines set up the Tannerite Rover, turn on the water irrigation system and fill it with gasoline instead of water and prepare yourself.

I figured it would scar the alphabet boys if they come busting in and hearing a song from the 1980, an excellent Music Decade where we had a President that Loved America and Distrusted Government and made the comment during a speech "The most feared words in the English language to a true American was I am from the government and I am here to help.." and we listen to good music unlike the crap they listen to now sipping their soi latte's and comparing notes on the latest soyburger recipes and who wears the best manbuns in the team.

Breaking the Chains is the debut studio album by American heavy metal band Dokken. It was originally released in Europe as Breakin' the Chains on the French label Carrere Records, in 1981. This version contains different mixes and titles of songs from the later U.S. edition. "Paris Is Burning" is called "Paris", and is actually a studio version as opposed to the live recording in Berlin from December 1982. The album also contains a song called "We're Illegal", which later turned into "Live to Rock (Rock to Live)".

The album was remixed, partially re-recorded, renamed and released in the US in 1983 by Elektra Records, and reached number 136 on the Billboard 200 chart. The album was considered a flop by the label, which had the intention to drop the band. However, Dokken management convinced Elektra that they could make a more successful album, which materialized in Tooth and Nail in September 1984. Breaking the Chains' title track was named the 62nd greatest hard rock song by VH1. It is featured on the radio station "V-ROCK" in the 2006 video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories

In a discussion with George Lynch on January 26, 2011, he mentioned the existence of 500 copies of the Carrere Records Breakin' the Chains version printed with the Don Dokken moniker, instead of Dokken. This version also featured different album cover art.

"Breaking the Chains" is a song by American heavy metal/glam metal band Dokken, appearing on the band's debut album of the same name. The song was originally released as a single "Breakin' the Chains" in 1981 through Carrere Records exclusively in Europe, appearing as the B-side to the "I Can't See You" single. "Breaking the Chains" was released as a single in 1983 through Elektra Records, being the band's first American single. The song was a modest success, peaking at #32 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart. The song remained on the chart for 13 weeks.

A video was produced for the song. It begins cutting between the band performing the song in a house and performing on a black stage. The band is later chained up in a dungeon before George Lynch breaks free and performs the song's solo. As Lynch performs the solo the other band members break free one by one. After the solo, Don Dokken wakes up chained to a bed, alone, before breaking free. The video ends with shots of the band performing in the house, in the dungeon, and against a backdrop of chains that explode as the video ends.

Jeff Pilson appears in the video on bass as Juan Croucier had left the band before filming began.

Musings......and a Rant....or Two....

I saw in the news that Xiden traded a Arms Merchant for that women's basket ball player....

A few thoughts on this.......First off....WTF!,  Lessee we swap an Arms merchant that took several years of a sting to nail in a foreign country, and he was selling arms that were used in killing Americans and other people friendly to the United States, and we trade him for a Lesbian basketball player that hates America and trash talks the United States every chance she gets on Social media?......Good trade there Sport....I wonder about those hacks in DC on the Potomac what kind of brain dead bullshit was this trade, who thought this was an even trade?  Only Xiden and his administration would made a deal like this and brag about it, where the rest of the world is looking at us with pity and shame wondering what the hell happened to the Great United States, the Clowns are running the Circus I surmise to Xiden that this was a good trade because it panders to his base, you know the ones that are confused, POC's and they hate America.  Now she will come back to America, trash talk the States, and go on a "Victimhood" tour about her time in the gulug system for her stupidity because she thought her celebrity status would shield her like it does in the same place that she despises...Well guess what, it didn't but that part will be glossed over as she will get invited to the Whitehouse and at the same time there is a retired Marine that has been languishing there for 4 years and the Xiden administration didn't do shit for him because he wasn't a celebrity and didn't check off all the boxes necessary for the proper status in the progressive world.   What a Cluster..Foxtrot.

We finished the 2022 election cycle finally a couple of days ago and I can sum it up in one word..."Disappointment", Wat happened to the vaunted Red Wave?  Xiden and the Donks will be embolden to continue their policies.  I know that there was some hankie Pankie in AZ and a couple of other places...but nobody is bothering to do anything about it....Just in a hurry to bury it quickly before the normies get restless.

We had a record turnout here in Georgia for the election and the runoff.  It didn't matter, the usual candidates still screeched "Voter Suppression"  even though Warnock got reelected.  it was a nasty campaign, Warnock had 4 times the money that Walker (R) had and most of it was out of state money and he slung the mud big time.  Sure Hershel Wasn't the best candidate the GOP could have run, but the dynamics is that it had to be a black man to run against Warnock because the Donks would have turned it into a racial issue besides it being an abortion right issue.

Hershel did have a lot of flaws from failed marriages, to his domestic violence when he was younger to having a couple of his girlfriends get abortions, all of this happened before he "Found Jesus"
Raphael Warnock continuously puts himself in all his ads as a pastor first. He is also running one of the severest “mud slinging” campaigns in Georgia’s history against Hershel Walker. Hershel has come out numerous times admitting that he had problems with mental illness years ago. Key word HAD. He has also talked about how he got help with his illness, but it wasn’t until he gave his life to Jesus that he got the complete change he was looking for and needed.
The thought hit me the other night while viewing one of the many Warnock smear commercials that if anyone should understand grace and forgiveness and the idea of “second chances” should be a pastor because this is the truth of the gospel. Jesus gives, not only second chances, but 3rd, 4th, 5th all the way to infinity of chances. II Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” (New King James version).
It appears that Mr. Warnock is more interested in being a politician instead of a pastor. Is he a pastor until it comes to politics then everything is fair game? I don’t see Jesus doing that.

Apparently the credibility of the Media is taking another hit....The Hunter Biden Laptop story is making its rounds......again.....and it is coming out by Elon Musk how Twitter and the other Social Media giants buried or just suppressed the story to help Xiden get elected.

The story came out that 1/3 of the people that voted for Xiden stated that they would have voted for someone else had they known about the Laptop, but the media suppressed the story to make sure that "their man" made it across the finish line first.
People see this stuff and wonder why the trust in the media and the tech giants are soo low, and now Elon Musk is releasing the "Twitter Files" and showing how Twitter actively suppressed the conservative side of the aisle for years and pumped up the left side of the political spectrum.

Especially at the request of the DNC, and of course the progressives are upset...the secret is out "OMG.....The world is ending, Elon is ruining Twitter, and they have been trying to gaslight him and failing miserably at it.
Facebook is having problems also, what affects one splashes on the other so it will be interesting to see his this plays out.

Winter is coming and of course the uptick of "Covid " is starting to infect the news again...With the 2022 election over, the Donks can go full Stasi for an entire year than let off in time for the 2024 election and buy off some votes by their "largess" or "free Money" for the freeloading class as they try to get the world to listen to the experts and shut down again "for the good of society", Y'all know what I say to be true...you can see it on the horizon, you can feel it is coming.

Speaking of Covid...This is what I hope happens, they go after "Dr Doom", A.K.A. Fauci for his sins during Covid, but with the spineless jellyfisn that makes up the leadership in the GOP, I don't have much hope of that.

With Christmas coming, sure this is humorous because "A Christmas Story" is one of my favorite all time Christmas Movies, along with "Die Hard" but there is truth to this one, Firearm sales have skyrocketed because people are afraid and the soft on crime policies from the Soros DA's is a big factor. But a big problem is that the same DA's will use "Lawfare" against you if you go against their agenda. I;m not sure what is going to happen, but I'm afraid thing will start getting "sporty" because the average American has started losing faith in the institutions because they believe that they are corrupted and twisted.

Saudi Arabia is building a New Airport

I got this in my news feed at work and I will add my $.02 opinion.

The powers that be running Saudi Arabia are hoping to attract the foreign investors like "Dubai" of the UAE, that has and Dubai has  and is working on setting on setting themselves up as a center of tourism, Finance, commerce and Luxury because they know that oil is important, but they want to be more than a "one Trick Pony" so they are trying to branch out and use the Petrodollars to buy and establish as much infrastructure as possible to take advantage of the coming boom of luxury and tourism that they will hope will establish themselves as so  to be much more in case the oil runs out, they will still be viable so Saudi Arabia is trying to do the same and Saudi Arabia has more real estate to do more than the UAE, but the Kingdom has a different problem, Namely the Mullahs.  The UAE is very laid back as far as a Muslim country goes..Well Saudi Arabia is much more strict, they are the home of 2 of the holiest  sites of the Muslim World, Mecca and Medina, so the  the Religious Police are particularly feared, they look for "nonbelievers" and they do the  behead people there and stone the alphabet people pkus other transgressions.  For Saudi Arabia to encourage the Tourism and Finance industry, the Saudi's have to get the Religious Police and the Hard Core sect of Islam the "Wahhabism" Sunni part of Islam to back off and I really don't see them doing that so it will be interesting to see if Saudi Arabia will be successful or will this be another Boondoggle.  I hope they are successful, I think well of my time over in Saudi Arabia, the people were friendly although different culturally, I enjoyed the experience of a different culture that wasn't Western based while I was stationed there in 1990 and 1991.

Mosque at thye Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, airport

Details of a major piece in the plan to transform Saudi Arabia into an aerospace and tourism hub were revealed Nov. 28 with the announcement of plans for a new airport in Riyadh.

The new King Salman International Airport is intended to boost the capital’s position as a global logistics hub and stimulate transport and trade.

The airport is being designed to accommodate up to 120 million passengers by 2030 and 185 million by 2050. By the later date, it also is expected to be capable of processing 3.5 million tons of cargo annually.

The new facility is being designed to have six parallel runways and cover approximately 57 km2 (22 mi.²) It will incorporate the terminals of the current King Khalid International Airport and eventually supersede it.

Residential and recreational facilities will be included in the project. The airport is intended to be powered by renewable energy and strongly feature sustainability in its design.

The new airport master plan was announced by the country’s crown prince and prime minister, Mohammed bin Salman. The project is part of the desert kingdom’s Vision 2030 plan, which aims to diversify the country’s economy away from hydrocarbons.

Over the past few years, growing emphasis has been placed on creating an aviation eco-system in the country to try to emulate the successes of Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the nearby United Arab Emirates

Riyadh is also expected to be the home base of the country’s planned new international airline, which is expected to be formally announced by year-end. The existing flag carrier Saudia—which officials say will not be downgraded—is based at the country’s main commercial hub, Jeddah. The new carrier appears to be aimed to compete with regional rivals Emirates and Qatar Airways by acting as a bridge between east and west.

The new airport will be funded by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, which is intent on unlocking the capabilities of promising sectors in the economy.

Monday Music "Screaming For Vengence" By Judas Priest

One of the alphabet bois lining up to take down your house...What would be your "Valhalla" song and you would set it up to play as you load up magazines set up the Tannerite Rover, turn on the water irrigation system and fill it with gasoline instead of water and prepare yourself.

I figured it would scar the alphabet boys if they come busting in and hearing a song from the 1990's, an excellent Music Decade where we had a President that Loved America and Distrusted Government and made the comment during a speech "The most feared words in the English language to a true American was I am from the government and I am here to help.." and we listen to good music unlike the crap they listen to now sipping their soi latte's and comparing notes on the latest soyburger recipes and who wears the best manbuns in the team.

Next week will probably be  Dokken" Breaking The Chain"

Screaming for Vengeance is the eighth studio album by the English heavy metal band Judas Priest, released in July 1982 by Columbia Records. Considered the band's commercial breakthrough, it has been certified double platinum in the United States and platinum in Canada. Screaming for Vengeance spawned the hit "You've Got Another Thing Comin'", which became one of the band's signature songs and a perennial radio favourite.

Screaming for Vengeance was recorded at Ibiza Sound Studios, Ibiza, Spain (during this period, it was common for UK-based musicians to record in continental Europe for tax purposes). Mixing and overdubs were done at Beejay Recording Studios in Orlando, Florida and Bayshore Recording Studios in Coconut Grove, Florida.

It showcased a harder, heavier sound than British Steel and saw the band reverse back into straight heavy rock after the melodically styled Point of Entry. The album also marks the first time a drummer played on more than two Judas Priest albums, with Dave Holland having also played on British Steel and Point of Entry.

The album's most commercially successful track, "You've Got Another Thing Comin'", was a last-minute addition. According to guitarist K. K. Downing, "We were quite happy with the album, but decided late on that we could add one more song. I know we had some of the parts, but we set about completing "Another Thing Comin'" during the mixing sessions at Bee Jay studios. It came together quite quickly, and I seem to remember that we all had a good feeling about it, as it did sound like a good driving song and possibly a good radio track." Rob Halford expressed surprise at the song's success, saying "that track was buried. Normally the tracks you think are going to do stuff are at the front end of the release. But our friends at Sony said, 'We're going to go for this song.' And we didn't really know what was going on. But then the feedback was coming over: 'Hey, the record's buzzing in this town and that town', and it just took off."

Screaming for Vengeance was released in July 1982, with a remastered CD released in May 2001. "Fight for Your Life", recorded during the Screaming for Vengeance sessions[citation needed], was left off but subsequently reworked as the song "Rock Hard Ride Free" on the next album, Defenders of the Faith. The original version saw the light of day as a bonus track on the 2001 remastered version of 1978's Killing Machine. As of the album's 30th anniversary in 2012, it remains the top-selling release of Judas Priest's career. To celebrate the album's 30th anniversary, a remastered CD with bonus 1982 live tracks and a bonus DVD of the band's performance from the 1983 US Festival were released. The most recent remaster was released in late 2017 as part of the Sony We Are Vinyl series, on vinyl and digital download only.

Judas Priest songs for some reasons I can't understand(lol) seem to relate to the Bugaloo theme, I guess it is the angry theme and trying to "stick it to "Da Man" that seems to flow through a lot of their songs.

Some Reasons Why Liberals are so annoying to Conservatives...

I clipped this off "Bongino Report".  There are more to the list, but one has to subscribe and pay, and unfortunately I don't want to do that.  I tried to use "DuckDuckGo" to get around the Paywall but was unsuccessful, but half of the article was still a good article.

I don’t hate liberals, but I do detest liberalism because I view it like an infection. A human being can survive a small infection, with no problem – and the same is true of liberalism. It may sound strange for a conservative to say, but there are lots of wonderful human beings out there that are liberals. They’re nice people, they genuinely mean well and they’re pleasant to be around.

In my experience, however, like infections, liberalism can turn disastrous in a hurry once it starts to spread. The more politically involved a liberal becomes, the more miserable, insufferable, and toxic they often turn out to be. Even if you knew nothing about liberalism other than the effect it has on people, you’d know it’s a monstrous philosophy that smart people avoid like a case of monkeypox.

If you’re conservative, you are probably nodding along. If you’re not into politics or worse yet, a liberal who hasn’t been badly infected yet, you may not understand what we’re talking about. Read this column and you will get it.

1) Liberals insert politics into EVERYTHING: Sporting events? Business? Church? School? Thanksgiving dinner? To liberals, EVERYTHING is a brutal political struggle and sometimes it’s like, “Damnit Alyssa, I just want to enjoy this movie without hearing complaints that the film engages in cultural appropriation and the cast is too cisnormative for you. ”

2) The totalitarian impulse: Liberals love, love, love nothing better than the idea of writing a law in Washington, DC today and forcing everyone else in the country to obey it at gunpoint tomorrow. That’s why so many liberals were secretly ecstatic over COVID.  Having the power to decide whether people got to open their businesses or not, get a haircut or even go to the beach is like a wet dream for a lot of liberals. Many of them are attitudinally no different than the people that run China, but fortunately for us, unlike China, we have a Second Amendment that keeps liberals from going too far.

3) Pro-censorship: Because liberals have given up on proving that their ideas are good, they’ve increasingly embraced censorship. You know, it’s like that old saying goes, “if you can’t beat them, then try to make it impossible for anyone to find out that they have better ideas than you so that you win by default.”

4) They are baffled by gender: Matt Walsh famously did an entire movie called, “What is a Woman?” that revolved around the modern Left’s inability to answer that simple question. What they seem to have settled on is that your gender is whatever you decide it is, which makes absolutely no logical, scientific or common sense. The idea is that kids, who decide that they’re The Rock, Spider-Man, or a dinosaur one minute without being taken seriously, should be treated like the opposite gender the moment a boy takes an interest in My Little Pony or a girl likes football is madness. Allowing confused teen girls to have their breasts cut off or teen boys to have their penises carved up? It’s some of the most horrific lunacy happening on planet Earth. Once you get to the point where you falsely believe you can choose your gender, what can’t you choose? Can a white man choose to be black? Can you choose to be an ox? A coffee table? A planet? Napoleon? If not, why not? All of these things are equally ridiculous and the further we go down this road, the weirder it’s going to get – and newsflash… liberals have already gotten pretty freaking weird on this topic already.

5) Liberals have given up on convincing people their ideas are good: These days, liberals generally don’t even try to make a case for their ideas. Instead, they essentially say, “We’re the good guys and anyone who disagrees with us is a bad guy and our enemy. So, which do you want to be?” They’re not interested in debate, they’re not interested in alternative ideas, they just know that “good people believe what we believe and bad people don’t.” From there, everything else they say is just a backward justification to explain why the Mean Girls Club they’ve created is being victimized by the people they’re tormenting in the hallways.

6) Liberalism is a religion substitute: Devout liberals value liberalism above everything else. For liberals, it’s ahead of friendship, relationships with family, their job, their kids, and even God. Fanatics of any sort get on everyone’s nerves, but zealots screaming about Critical Race Theory, microaggressions, and drag queens are a special kind of hell.

7) Liberals just don’t care if their policies work: Liberals care a lot about how ideas SOUND and MAKE THEM FEEL, but not at all about whether they work or not. As a general rule, liberals are so indifferent to the success and failure of most of the policies they advocate that they don’t even bother to check. There’s certainly no one on the Left going, “Wow, it sure is disappointing that all the promises we sold Obamacare with weren’t true and the higher insurance costs it caused are hurting a lot of Americans, so maybe we should repeal it.” Instead. It’s more like, “Ha! We passed it suckers and if you don’t like that it doesn’t do what we said, too bad! No backsies!” Every liberal policy effectively ends up being Nancy Pelosi saying, "We [need] to pass the bill in order to find out what [is] in it." Of course, by the time you find out what’s in it, you’ve already taken the poison and they’re going to sit there cackling at you, twirling their bad guy mustaches and laughing about how you’re never getting the antidote.

8) Race obsession: Liberals constantly work to tear down the idea of a colorblind America and create the idea that everyone must be judged by their race first… well, except the white liberals, of course. They’re the “good white people” because they’re liberal, so they’re supposed to get a pass for the never-ending racial nonsense they foist on everyone else. Happily, it doesn’t always work out that way and even white liberals end up getting destroyed every so often by the race-obsessed Frankenstein monster that they’ve created.

9) So many liberals are blind to their own hypocrisy: It’s bizarre to see a liberal who has private bodyguards calling for gun confiscation, who flies overseas on a private jet talking about how we’ve all got to cut back on carbon emissions, or who complains about how awful capitalism is by tweeting on their iPhone. Some of this is certainly a, “Do as we say, not as we do sort of thing,” but a lot of times liberals seem to be genuinely oblivious to their own hypocrisy. For most of us, that would be impossible, but most liberals don’t understand the issues they’re talking about very well, haven’t spent a lot of time thinking about them, and haven’t even considered the other side of their arguments. So many of them are like monkeys playing with dynamite who don’t understand why the banana trees keep exploding.

10) Liberals trash America: The United States may not be perfect, but it is the most successful, prosperous, and dominant nation in all of recorded human history. Meanwhile, a bunch of people who can’t even manage a large city or college campus without it turning into a sh*tshow are constantly proclaiming how awful America is, mocking people who unironically love their country, and looking for ways to fundamentally transform it. There is absolutely nothing going on in say Berkeley, Chicago, or New Jersey that suggests liberals could come up with something better than the Founding Fathers did, but that’s not going to stop some dork with a drug habit, a psychologist, and personal pronouns from explaining how we need to be much more like some country that’s ten times less successful than we are.
