Various Obama scandals and other musings....

I was wanting to post something else, but I am having a hell of a time finding a video to back up the posting that I wanted to rant on......Go Figure.   I had seen it on my infrequent forays into Facebook and was  unable to locate it.  It had something to do about a college symposium about Bengazi and some bright college student came up and made some comment about us profiling muslims and there were many millions of moderate muslims out there and it was offensive.  Well the lady who was on the panel about Bengazi, I think she is from that part of the world, immediately had a field day with this over eager college student.  It touched on something that I had ideas on for a long time and she articulated it much better than I could have.  But I digress....So as I continue to try to find it, I will post something from GOC, it is a list of Obama scandals...that if this person was a white GOPer., the press would have been screaming for his head on a pike.....but since it is the "annointed" one....the crickets are deafening.  I did add a few others to it that it didn't mention.  Everybody else can chime in and add any that I might have missed.

Jim: “I give up! … Oh wait, I think I got it! You mean that 65 million
low-information voters who don’t pay taxes and get free stuff from
taxpayers and stuck us again with the most pandering, corrupt
administration in American history?”
Bob: “THAT’S THE ONE!”

Voting Today

Well today we in Georgia had our run-off election today.  We had 2 republicans in the runoff for the senate seat on the GOP side to face off against Michelle Nunn( More on that in a moment.)  We had 2 candidates going for the nomination.  One is Jack Kingston, and the other is David Perdue.  Jack Kingston was a congressman that decided to step to the senate side after John Issakson decided to not run for reelection.  David Perdue was a CEO of Dollar General  Well the campaign was real dirty..both candidates threw a lot of dirt and half truths at each others and smeared each other pretty good.  Well on the democrat side, Michelle Nunn was basically anointed to that position by the Democrat party of Georgia, she is the daughter of Sam Nunn, a prominent former democratic senator from GA.  She is very liberal and would embrace the agenda of Barack Obama.  I am concerned , unlike the GOP candidates whose names are sullied, she is "pristine" and I believe that it will cause a problem for the stupid party GOP with the independents.
      I decided to go with Jack Kingston,  David Perdue has good credentials but I know of a lot of CEO's that have gone to Washington and immediately cave to work deals with the democrats who trend to be monolithic by nature...I guess it is from being a collectivist.  
     I do know that Jack Kingston has stood by his principles when he was a regular congresscritter so I expect the same.   Also speaking of elections....We have a republican governor named Nathan Deal, who has done a good job overall and helped GA land some major job expansions with businesses relocating to more friendly business climates.  Well his opponent is Jason Carter, the Grandson of Jimmy"the Djimmi" Carter.  Well there have been ethic accusations against Nathan Deal from certain groups and all the accusations have been  proven unfounded except for one on a technicality.  But they have gotten momentum from the state media who is liberal.  Also, David Axelrod, remember, he was the campaign manager for the Obama presidential run, he is advising Jason Carter on what to do.  This concerns me because the Obama Whitehouse used a lot of sneaky tricks to smear whoever the opponent is for Obama when he was running for whatever political office he aspired to.  Now we are seeing the same litany of tricks being done here in Georgia.
     I am concerned for the 2014 elections, for the democrats will do anything by hook or by crook to try to minimize the impending bloodbath that is the November elections.

Monday Music "Don't fear the Reaper" Blue Oyster Cult.

I again was successful in getting my Monday Music in on Monday and the Minions clap in glee.

    I decided to go with "Don't fear the Reaper" from Blue Oyster Cult.  I know that this song came out in 1976, but I didn't discover this song until 1991 after I had gotten out of the service and was going to school and work.  This song came on the rock station and I was hooked.   I immediately went to "Turtles Records" and bought the CD

    I still jam on this album, I still have it in my CD collection.

"(Don't Fear) The Reaper" is a song by the American rock band Blue Öyster Cult from their 1976 album, Agents of Fortune. It was written and sung by the band's lead guitarist, Donald "Buck Dharma" Roeser and was produced by David Lucas, Murray Krugman, and Sandy Pearlman. The song is built around Dharma's opening, repetitive guitar riff, while the lyrics deal with eternal love and the inevitability of death. Dharma wrote the song while picturing an early death for himself.

The edited single version was Blue Öyster Cult's biggest chart success, reaching number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 in November 1976. Additionally, critical reception was mainly positive and, in 2004, "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" was listed at number 397 on theRolling Stone list of the top 500 songs of all time.

     "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" was written and sung by the band's lead guitarist, Dharma, and was produced by David Lucas, Murray Krugman, and Sandy Pearlman. The song's distinctive guitar riff is built on the "I-VII-VI" chord progression, in an A minor scale.

The riff was recorded with Krugmann's Gibson ES175 guitar, which was run through a Music Man 410 combo amplifier, and Dharma's vocals were captured with a Telefunken U47 tube microphone. The guitar solo and guitar rhythm sections were recorded in one take, while a four-track tape machine amplified them on the recording. Sound engineer Shelly Yakus remembers piecing together the separate vocals, guitar and rhythm section into a master track, with the overdubbing occurring in that order.

The song features the prominent use of the cowbell percussion instrument. The song was originally recorded without a cowbell, but the sound was overdubbed into the song at a later stage. Bassist Joe Bouchard remembered a producer requesting his brother, drummer Albert Bouchard, to play the cowbell on the track. Joe Bouchard recalled: "Albert thought he was crazy. But he put all this tape around a cowbell and played it. It really pulled the track together." Producer David Lucas claims that the inclusion of the cowbell was his idea, and guitarist Eric Bloom supports Lucas's claim.

     The song was on the Hot 100 chart for 20 weeks, reaching number 12 for the weeks beginning November 6 and November 13 in 1976. It was the highest-charting U.S. song for Blue Öyster Cult and helped Agents of Fortune reach number 29 on theBillboard 200."(Don't Fear) The Reaper" charted even higher in Canada, peaking at number 7.  It was not released as a single in the UK until 1978, where it reached number 16 on the UK pop chart.

Critical reception to the song was mostly positive. Denise Sullivan of Allmusic praised the song's "gentle vocals and virtuoso guitar" and its "haunting middle break which delivers the listener straight back to the heart of the song once the thunder is finished." Nathan Beckett called it Blue Öyster Cult's "masterpiece" and compared the vocals to the Beach Boys. Writing for PopMatters, James Mann remarked that "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" was a "landmark, genre-defining masterpiece" that was "as grand and emotional as American rock and roll ever got."

       In 1976 Rolling Stone named "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" the song of the year and, in 2004, the magazine placed the song at number 397 on its list of "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time"; however, the 2010 version of the list moved the song down to number 405. In 1997 Mojo listed the song as the 80th best single of all time, while Q ranked "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" number 404 in its 2003 countdown of the "1001 Best Songs Ever"

Visiting a new Boy Scout Camp....

Well I had a bit of time today, I was going to ride to Camp Ben Hawkins on Friday down in Byron Georgia.  but I was driving to Griffin and my bike started to malfunction.  I was able to coast into the scout center and wait for the wrecker to take the bike to the shop.  I am not happy with this.

  But anyway...I drove down today dodging the rain.  I was looking for an alternate campsite for my troop especially for wintercamp.  Our council wants us to use their facility exclusively, but I believe that you use the council stuff most of the time but you also need to switch it up to give the boys more exposure to other camps and broaden their experiences and keep them excited about the program.
    Well I went down there and checked it out and it was more of a primitive camping than what we have today in our council camp.  It reminded me of what camping was like back when I was in the boy scouts in the late 70's and early 80's.  I took some pictures of the camp, it is more rustic but it is one of the oldest BSA camps in Georgia if not east of the Mississippi.

This is a totem pole.  The BSA uses certain Indian themes in some of their ceremonies. This is used to honor the them, the core values of most of the tribes are honorable and worthy of remembrance.
   

Also the Indian figure is a symbol of the "Order of the Arrow"

Humor in aviation.......

Now those that know me that I work in the aviation industry, and I do have a warped sense of humor.  Well one of my friends sent me this tongue in cheek humorous cartoon video on flight safety.  I know that many of us that travel frequently can verbatim repeat the average flight safety video including the gestures that the stewardess flight attendant use in the explanation of the safety video.

   

   Now the airlines have gone to great lengths to "spice up" the boring material on the safety videos.  I will add several different ones from different airlines to show the different approaches they use to give the safety briefing.  And who knows....one day...this stuff might save your life.....or more likely you will find yourself on a gameshow and Alex Trebek will ask you a question about this stuff and you will actually remember it and win!...

This one was from Delta, the hometown airline here in Atlanta, and the 80's themed one.   And since I like the 80's I do like the video.

Monday Music...."Run Runaway...By SLADE

Well I am getting this episode of Monday Music in in .......MONDAY!!!(And the crowd goes wild!!)((,As the camera pans over and sees 2 janitors clapping in the corner))

    I decided to go back to the 80's, which is my favorite decade....I mentally threw some dice and flipped a quarter and went with SLADE, a British Glam Rock band that has a heavy metal influence.  This song I first saw on MTV..You know back when they played music, this song followed on the British New Wave invasion.  Some people panned the 2nd British Invasion, but the music was to me fresh and different than the stuff that was presently being played.  The influence of the New Wave invasion changed the face of the music in the 80's and helped make it iconic for the era.

Slade in 1973

"Run Runaway" is a hard rock song performed by the English band Slade. The song was written by Jim Lea and Noddy Holder and was on their 1983 album The Amazing Kamikaze Syndrome. It reached No. 7 in the UK Singles Chart, and proved to be the band's last U.K. Top 10 hit single.

The Amazing Kamikaze Syndrome album was released in 1984 in the United States with a different track listing under the title Keep Your Hands Off My Power Supply. That same year, the single "Run Runaway" became the band's biggest American hit, benefiting from heavy play on MTV, peaking at No. 20 and spending a total of eight weeks on the BillboardHot 100's Top 40. It was also number one for two weeks on the Billboard Top Tracks chart.

The single was included on Canada's official 'Top 100 Singles of 1984' chart, where Run Runaway peaked at No. 84.

The melody is inspired by the hymn "There Is a Happy Land." Holder himself summed the song up as "a rocky Scottish jig."

The lyrics memorably concern observing a chameleon.

Dave Thompson, from allmusic described the song as "building on the anthemic power of the earlier "My Oh My" - itself their biggest U.K. single in nine years - "Run Runaway" is raucous chanting, swirling guitars, wild violin, and even a taste of heavy metal bagpipes, helped along by a drum sound that is pure early '80s."

After being asked for his favourite Slade song, vocalist Noddy Holder replied that although "Far Far Away" was his favourite, hearing "Run Runaway" on the radio a few days before the interview really knocked him out.

For the September–December 1986 Slade fan club magazine, Lea was interviewed and was asked to share where he was when he wrote various Slade tracks. For "Run Runaway," Lea stated it was written whilst he was holding a conversation with someone.

In a mid-1989 Slade fan club magazine interview, Powell was asked if there was a Slade track that he felt was one of the band's best efforts on record. Powell replied stated that "Standin' On The Corner" from the 1975 album Slade in Flamewas a favourite. Powell also stated "The 12" version of Run Runaway, I liked doing that one as well."

The single peaked at No. 193 for 1984 on rateyourmusic.

In the September–December 1986 Slade fan club magazine, the poll results were announced for the 1986 opinion poll based on Slade’s material. For the best single of the 80s, "Run Runaway" placed at No. 2.

The song is played frequently at UMass-Amherst basketball games.

    A music video was created for the single, filmed at Eastnor Castle in Ledbury, Herefordshire, England.

The track was also performed on many UK TV shows including Top of the Pops, Hall of Fame and a filmed performance at the Rhyl Sun Centre. The song was also performed on an unknown German TV show, an unknown Swedish TV show along with My Oh My and on an unknown European TV show.

The track was performed at Montreux Festival in 1984 along with "Slam the Hammer Down." In America, the song was also performed with the 1984 hit single "My Oh My" on American Bandstand.

In 1985, the band performed the song on the UK show Saturday Live along with the newer single "7 Year Bitch." This performance featured live vocals and a different backing track for both songs. In 1987, the band mimed the song on the UK show The Tom O'Connor Show, along with the band's current single of the time, "Still the Same."

The video for this single was a Tim Pope video for GLO Productions that cost RCA £16,000 to have made. The filming was made entirely at Eastnor Castle at Ledbury. As the song had a ‘Highland Jig’ feel to it, so did the video. The band were featured live in front of an audience dressed in tartan. Sequences were of a marching bagpipe band, an enormous kilted scot grappling with a caber and Hill looking very mysterious on the castle ramparts.

The band was let down by the film crew in so much as Powell was not featured in the video at all - he can only be seen in the background. Lea stated that the only requirement that Slade insist upon when they make a film is that all the band are featured, and this wasn’t the case when they saw the finished version of this video. The film was a great success in the United States, peaking at the top of the playlist charts. It’s constant showing on MTV helped Run Runaway become Slade’s biggest American single, reaching the top twenty. Lea recalled that one video jockey even announced; "…and believe it or not that set in the video was an actual castle, it wasn’t constructed just for the film…"

After filming the music video at Eastnor Castle, the band returned to the place where they'd once played their third ever live gig under Chas Chandler's management. The gig was an end of film party for the cast of a film that starred Sammy Davis, Jerry Lewis and Peter Lawson. The band got very drunk during the gig, and Noddy Holder stole a flat cap from the dressing room. On the way home the band were stopped by the police who questioned them about a theft. At first the band thought it was about the cap - but it didn't concern that at all. The police were looking for some antiques stolen from Eastnor Castle.

In December 2011, the very coat that Hill wore in the Run Runaway video sold on Ebay.co.uk for £295.00. Hill also wore the coat on many European TV shows around the time. The seller had bought the coat many years ago from The Slade Fan Club where Hill auctioned off a few items to raise money to build a recording studio in his loft at home. After winning the auction, a cheque payable to Dave Hill was made.

Stuff and stuff...and meeting a fellor blogger

My apologies for mot posting much the past few days, I had a lot of stuff going on in Real life...Nothing bad...Just real busy.    I had my son in summer camp this week with the Boy Scouts, and I had driven up there and spent some time up there...all I can say about the mountains of North Georgia....Lotta hills and everything seemed to be uphill...I am sure it was a perception issue...
    Well Anyway, I had tried to get my son back home....and what is with boys and aversion to soap and water.....I got him home and threw him in the shower then got his foot locker and upended it into the washing machine....Then he and my wife caught a flight to the west coast .  Well through all of this, there was a mini blog meet and I had missed it up in Roswell, Several other bloggers had gotten together at an Irish Pub.  Well I had missed out due to my scheduling conflict.   But Old NFO was kind enough to meet me at the ChicFila in Hapeville, the Original one...Where it started.  All I can say...is that he is a class act and funny as hell.  It was a great experience to finally meet a fellow blogger.  He had told me that they will try to get a get together every quarter.   I will try my best to make the next one to meet all the others.  Here is a cartoon I had clipped last year out of the paper when Old NFO had released the first "Gray Man", I wanted to post it for him and for Peter

Monday Music "In the Year 2525" by Zagner and Evans"

Yes I know it is Tuesday......But sometimes Monday is too hectic for me to post...so there :p

I actually heard this song in 1987, I had picked up a "60's mix cassette(yes a cassette) at a rest stop off the autobahn near Trier in Germany near the Luxemburg border.  Trier was originally a Roman city back in the day...I was on a road trip and my regular group of songs that I carried in my Mustang were sounding real tired.  I really enjoyed this cassette and the mix of 60's songs...some of them I remembered my Dad playing and others that I have never heard of.   It made the trip a little less long....Trier was a long way from Stuttgart where I was stationed.  I think I wore the cassette out when I was in the Gulf, that sand got into everything , but I still have my boombox radio that I had bought from the PX, the radio looks worse for wear, and one of the cassette players quit working....I am sure the door getting torn off was a factor in that.  Here is the radio in my bonus room with all of my other souvenirs of my travels.

"In the Year 2525 (Exordium et Terminus)" is a 1969 hit song by the American pop-rock duo of Zager and Evans. It reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for six weeks commencing July 12, 1969. It peaked at number one in the UK Singles Chart for three weeks in August and September that year. The song was written and composed by Rick Evans in 1964 and originally released on a small regional record label (Truth Records) in 1968. A year later, an Odessa, Texas, radio station popularized the disc, which RCA Records quickly picked up for nationwide distribution. Zager and Evans disbanded in 1971. Denny Zager now builds custom guitars in Lincoln, Nebraska.

"In the Year 2525 (Exordium and Terminus)" opens with the words "In the year 2525, If man is still alive, If woman can survive, They may find...". Subsequent verses pick up the story at 1010-year intervals from 2525 to 6565. Disturbing predictions are given for each selected year. In the year 3535, for example, all of a person's actions, words and thoughts will be preprogrammed into a daily pill. Then the pattern as well as the music changes, going up a half step in the key of the song, after two stanzas, first from A-flat minor, to A minor, and, then, finally, to B flat minor, and verses for the years 7510, 8510 and 9595 follow.
The song has no chorus. Amid ominous-sounding orchestral music, the final dated chronological verse is,

In the year 9595, I'm kinda wonderin' if Man is gonna be alive.

He's taken everything this old Earth can give, and he ain't put back nothin', whoa-whoa...,

The summary verse concludes:

Now it's been 10,000 years, Man has cried a billion tears,

For what, he never knew. Now man's reign is through.

So very far away, Maybe it's only yesterday.

The song goes back to the beginning, starting all over again, with 2525 before the song's fade.
The overriding theme, of a world doomed by its passive acquiescence to and overdependence on its own overdone technologies, struck a resonant chord in millions of people around the world in the late 1960s.
The song describes a nightmarish vision of the future as man's technological inventions gradually dehumanize him. It includes a colloquial reference to the Second Coming (In the year 7510, if God's a-coming, He ought to make it by then.), which echoed the zeitgeist of the Jesus movement.

It is unusual for a recording artist to have a number one hit and then never have another chart single. "In the Year 2525" actually gave Zager and Evans this status twice; they remain the only act to do this in both the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles Chart.

"What every Child Should Know..." 1950's Russia

I ran across this from English Russia, I always thought the art work was interesting and the style is emulated today especially with stuff depicting the democrats, occupy movement and other leftist groups.  I also noticed that the "Kids doing the right thing" are wearing the Red neckerchief of the "Young Pioneer" movement.  This movement is supposed to instil the "Ideals of the modern Soviet Man" at a young age.   The posters are what is considered "Propaganda" but actually most of it are good lessons for all children to know to be a better person and a productive member of society, which these posters tried to instill what I call proper values.  It is a universal truth and I wonder if we would be better off if this stuff is taught, not by the state, but by the parents and expected by society.

  I went on and looked up some information on the "Young Pioneer" movement.
     A pioneer movement is an organization for children operated by a communist party. Typically children enter into the organization in elementary school and continue until adolescence. The adolescents then typically join the Young Communist League. Prior to the 1990s there was a wide cooperation between pioneer and similar movements of about 30 countries, coordinated by the international organization, International Committee of Children's and Adolescents' Movements (French: Comité international des mouvements d'enfants et d'adolescents, CIMEA), founded in 1958, with headquarters in Budapest.
    
Pioneer movements exist in countries where the Communist Party is in power as well as in some countries where the Communist Party is in opposition, if the party is large enough to support a children's organization. In countries ruled by Communist Parties, membership of the pioneer movement is officially optional. However, membership provides many benefits, so the vast majority of children typically join the movement (although at different ages). During the existence of the Soviet Union, thousands of Young Pioneer camps and Young Pioneer Palaces were built exclusively for Young Pioneers, which were free of charge, sponsored by the government and trade unions. There were many newspapers and magazines published for Young Pioneers in millions of copies.
The Pioneer movement was modeled on the Scout movement, but there are some distinct differences. Most notably, the Scout movement is independent of government control and political parties. Some features, however, are reminiscent of the Scout movement. The two movements share some principles like preparedness and promotion of sports and outdoor skills. The pioneer movement also includes teaching of communist principles. Opponents of Communist states claim that this is a form of indoctrination.
A member of the movement is known as a pioneer, and a kerchief or necktie — typically red, but sometimes light blue — is the traditional item of clothing worn by a pioneer. The pioneer organization is often named after a famous party member that is considered a suitable role model for young communists. In the Soviet Union it was Vladimir Lenin; in East Germany, it was Ernst Thälmann. The Thälmann pioneers were taught the slogan "Ernst Thälmann is my role model. We wear our red scarf with pride." Albania, which severed diplomatic relations with the USSR in 1961, also had a variant of Pioneer organization, called Pioneers of Enver, named after the communist ruler of Albania, Enver Hoxha.

The propaganda and informational posters in the Soviet state were a popular form of art and targeted different slices of society. You come to a factory where workers work and see the "Don't steal from the factory!" or "Be careful with machinery!" posters around. You go out on the streets - you see different sorts of posters. Then when you enter a school for kids you get to see posters too, now these ones are targeted towards children. So what did kids have to know according to the propaganda masters of the State? Here is what "Every Boy Should Know"

If memory serves, the picture shown on the wall is of a kid that is a "hero" to the Young Pioneer movement, according to legend, he renounced his parents for the good of the state back in the 1920's I believe.

4th of July post...Verbatum

I pulled this off Wirecutters blog,   I don't agree with quite everything he said, but he did say it soo well and I did a post yesterday that touched on different stuff but it still said that we are in trouble.  I hope we as Americans can pull it together...

My Fourth Of July Post

The Fourth has always been a special day for me. Anybody that knows me knows I’m not big on holidays. Christmas and Thanksgiving are a pain as far as preparations go and having to deal with family that doesn’t want anything to do with me the rest of the year, Easter – I’m surprised they still celebrate Easter seeing as it’s offensive to muslims and liberals, Veteran’s and Memorial day always rubbed me wrong because those are days for memories that should be thought of everyday, Labor Day is just an excuse for a barbecue, but the Fourth to me was always special because of the anniversary it represents.
Not anymore. The Fourth is nothing but a reminder of what a mess our Nation has become. Our Founding Fathers and the Citizens of that period sacrificed everything to ensure Freedom for their descendants and immigrants coming here to seek a better life for themselves and their families. There were provisions in the Constitution to prevent the new government from becoming what they were trying to get out from under. The Bill of Rights came later naming our basic human rights so that future generations wouldn’t pervert the Yellowed Paper in order to grant them powers that weren’t theirs to begin with.
Now I get up in the morning and read what the government wants me to read. If the press isn’t in lockstep with the president then they aren’t allowed in his press corp. If you file for something under the Freedom of Information Act, you see only what the government wants you to see, everything else is blacked out.
My weapons of self defense are government approved but they say if I don’t have a permit for them then they must stay at home, but at the same time the government says the police have no obligation or duty to protect me or mine.
My food has to be approved by the government. I can no longer drink raw milk or eat cheese that hasn’t been homogenized or pasteurized because evidently I don’t know what’s good for me. Even homeopathic medicines have to be government approved if I want to buy them instead of growing and harvesting them myself.
Our children are wards of the State. If they attend a public school, they learn what the government wants them to learn. The government has changed history to suit their views, not what really happened. You are not allowed to discipline your children with your own hand under threat of law. The government determines if your children are eating healthy lunches or not – not lunches from school but what Mom has packed for them.
We’re under constant surveillance. Every time I walk out of my house I have to assume I’m on somebody’s camera. Traffic cams, security cams, dash cams, you name it. My emails are being monitored by the government. My website is being monitored by the government. Every piece of mail – every piece – passing through the post office is photographed and recorded. Every phone call we make, every text we send is monitored by the NSA. Boxes on the side of the roads log in bluetooth information from passing cars to determine who’s in what car traveling down the road, where you got on the road and where you left it. Radar is monitoring our speed.
Our public lands are no longer public. The Bureau of Land Management and Forest Service determine what we can and cannot do on our own public lands and reserve the right to charge us fees for their use. If you resist you will be arrested, fined and possibly imprisoned.
Everything has to be registered. Our vehicles are registered, our animals are registered, our firearms are registered, our watercraft is registered. By the way, you can read that as taxed.
Our police have gone from being peace officers to law enforcement officers. They have the right by decree of government to search you simply by stating they believe you may have committed a crime. In some cities they can search you just because they want to. They burst into our homes, kill our dogs and search our personal belongings with only the simplest of causes. SWAT teams – a concept that was designed for hostage situations – conduct an average of 124 raids every day. Now they raid barber shops for unlicensed (read that untaxed) barbers, they’re raiding dairies suspected of selling raw milk and they’re raiding mom and pop marijuana growers.
With the NDAA and “Patriot” Act, we no longer have a right to an attorney or a Right to a speedy trial in front of a jury of our peers, in fact we no longer have a Right to a trial at all. Indefinite detention is the Plan of the Day at the pleasure of the government.
The tax man takes between 30 and 50% of our paychecks, most of it outright theft. We support, out of our paychecks and from the sweat of our brow, cash and food for those that won’t work, medical and child care for those same deadbeats, organizations through federal and state grants that we don’t morally support or agree with, wars that we may not agree with, and anything else that the government feels is necessary.
Any mention of God has been removed from our schools and government buildings even though this once-great Nation was founded on Christian principles. We can no longer pray before meetings nor can our children while at school. Our churches are regulated as far as mentioning politics. The entire “Separation of Church and State” has been twisted from not allowing the State to force a religion on us to not wanting to offend anybody by asserting our personal beliefs.
Our Nation is presently being overrun with illegal immigrants and our government who swore an oath to obey the Constitution and the Law of the Land is ignoring the law by not defending our borders. In fact, they’re encouraging these illegals to come by rewarding them with promises of a better life and citizenship. If you think this bothers you, think about the immigrants that came here legally and got pushed to the back of the line because of promises that our politicians have made.
Our politicians truly believe they are above us, forgetting that they serve us and not the other way around. We have politicians that carry firearms and surround themselves with bodyguards, yet they deny us the very basic human Right to defend ourselves by outlawing us commoners to own and carry firearms and other weapons. They break laws with impunity, yet imprison us for doing the same. They refuse to listen to the People’s desires and instead enact laws they want. We have a president that says we must conserve energy and cut down on pollutants, yet he and his family fly on Air Force One for their many vacations every year. Our fuel prices have been above $3 a gallon for a record breaking 1200 days because our president refuses to cut our dependency on foreign oil and use our own natural resources which would also provide much needed jobs for us. Our president bows to foreign Heads of State, showing them that he believes we are subservient to them. Our government has done everything it can to make sure that we, as a Nation, serves it instead of the other way around.
This is not the Nation our Founding Fathers wanted for us. I know that if they could see what we’ve turned into, they would be appalled. I know I am, and that’s the reason the Fourth holds no special place in my heart anymore.

For the past week I’ve probably started a half dozen posts just for the one day we have to celebrate our Founding Father’s groundwork for a new, Free Nation under God.
I trashed every one of them. Instead, I wrote this. I kept the language clean so that if anybody wanted to use it on their sites, they could without editing.
As with anything you find here, it’s free for anybody to use. I only ask that it’s published in it’s entirety and that my name and link at the bottom be included. I WANT the government to know I wrote this.

Musings and other intemperate thoughts...

I had tried to post this for 3 days and I have been too busy to post.

I made one of my infrequent forays into the land of "Facebook", ..All I can say is *wow*...The mindless vitriol and rhetoric of our soo tolerant leftist brethren is breathtaking to behold...This happened right after the "Hobby Lobby" ruling and the left acts like it is the end of times.  I even saw "Abortion Barbie" Wendy Davis trying to revitalize her base with some asinine comments trying to be relevant.     I really believe that we are now 2 different groups in America,  on one side you have the "tolerant left" that has control of the organs of the state and the punitive powers of the same, then you have everybody else that wants to be left alone.
     The left wants to have "reasoned discourse"only if you agree with them and if you don't then you are an religious,homophobic, racist,teabagger that wants to give women cloth-hanger abortions,  asshole.  I have noticed that the conservative half of America has no problem if somebody has a different opinion, but the courtesy isn't extended back to us.  I figure that the leftist have "control" issues, they know what is best for everybody else.
       I don't know if we can survive as a country, we are soo polarized right now.  Everybody is split up into their own groups and squabbling with each other and missing the point, America is in trouble, we have the mid-east falling apart, we have thousands of illegal kids showing up at our border and we don't know how to handle that.  Obama is seeing a chance to pander to the Hispanic votes and secure a new voting block to keep the democrats in power.    We are racking up debt at an unsustainable limit that our children cannot pay for and I think that is be design to bankrupt the middle class thereby allowing only 2 groups of people, the elitist who control the government and the poor that are beholding to the same government for sustenance and basically are a serf for them.
      I almost think succession is an answer, but I as a proud American don't want to see the U.S.A balkanize along ethnic lines.  B ut this is what happens when groups are encouraged to keep their own identity and not join that was called the "mainstream".  Now we have people that are more beholding to where they came from than where they are now.  We have people that come here to escape their 3rd world shithole and yet want to transform the United States into the same place that they left.....Will we survive?
