IRS Leaked information about Conservative groups and donors to leftist groups...

So, here we have the IRS leaking information to the media. Confidential tax data that found its way to Romney's opponents and into the hands of Harry Reid "The word’s out that he hasn’t paid any taxes for 10 years. Let him prove that he has paid taxes, because he hasn’t." Reid on the Senate floor, August 2012. Let us not forget that in 2010, Obama's economic adviser  Goolsbee stated to reporters that Koch Industries did not pay any corporate taxes! This, of course, is not public information and Obama trotted out Baghdad Bob to lie that Goolsbee misspoke. Good God folks, the US Treasury Department was in on it, the Department of Justice was in on it, the White House was in on it, the Department of Labor was in on this, funneling applications from TEA Party folks into the crapper. God only knows who else was involved and what offices THEY are from.

How many voters were swayed by this leaking confidential information, thinking Romney was some rich guy in the 1% while ignoring the fact that not only is Obungler in the 1%, HE IS BACKED BY THE .01%, i.e., Soros, Bloomberg, Spielberg, Hanks, and the rest of the Hollywood Limo Libs! How many American Conservative voters were disenfranchised by the tyranny of the White House and Obama's minions? How many Conservative activists were denied their right to work for the candidate of their choice and who ended up staying home instead of being out rallying the base? How many Tea Party participants were tyrannized into silence by being targeted for audits by the Infernal Revenge Service?

There can be no doubt that election 2012 was gamed and rigged by the community organizer and his Alinskities Axelrod, Jarrett, and the rest of the Chicago gang and since it was "mission accomplished," they got their reward by fat bonuses and went back richer to liberal sewers like Harvard.

FACTS TO PONDER:

1.   The IRS targeted over 500 conservative groups going back through TWO election cycles by illegally obtaining information on donors, volunteers, members, speakers, and anyone else connected.
2.   The IRS, with help of other agencies, gathered all social media, emails, phonecalls, and other media, for use by the Obama Cartel.
3.  The IRS targeted pro-life groups which denied them their First Amendment right to protest abortion clinics or other "democrat" interests.
4.  The IRS targeted Christian Ministries who spoke out against the Left, including Billy Graham.
5.  The IRS targeted Conservative Jewish groups who were pro-Israel.
6.  The IRS illegally provided confidential tax infomration to ProPublica, a left-wing organization who then disseminated the information to other groups.
7. The IRS also illegally released the confidential donor lists and other data on Romney donors.
8. The Obama campaign outed the top eight Romney donors and they were then audited.
9.  The chief of the IRS division,Lois Lerner, blamed two "rogue" agents yet her name appears on MANY letters sent to the Tea Party groups and not just out of Cincinnati but also California and the District of Corruption.  
10.  NOW, four agents from the Ohio office have said that they were just following orders. (HINT: That did not work in Nuremberg.)"Dienst ist Dienst..."

There can no longer be any doubt that Election 2008 and Election 2012 were as rigged at Election 1960, oddly enough which hinged on...Chicago...

Life Under Obamacare.....

I and many other conservatives railed against Obamacare since its inception, we knew that this wasn't about covering the so called 30 million uninsured or some crap, this was control pure and simple.  it is easier to control a populace if they are disarmed and depend on the government for many services. including medical care.   People become very malleable when it comes to the care of loved ones.   Imagine a person that has strong political beliefs and is vocal against the democrats and the obamamessiah,,,all of a sudden the care for his elderly mother or his wife or kids comes into question....Have an IRS agent....you know the organization that under Obamacare has the authority to hire 16,000 additional agents to enforce obamacare...you know the organization that got caught auditing conservative groups either on their own violation which shows an agency that has gone rogue and believes that it is untouchable or at the behest of either the democratic party or the union bosses or even at the behest of President" We have an election to win"  Obama.   They will make an appearance and "remind" you that certain things can happen unless you are very supportive of the President and his policies.  This shows that the IRS doesn't believe in the word of Law...rather it selectively enforces rules to its or its benefactors benefits.   This doesn't bode well for the country.   I wonder if there will be a push to defund Obamacare...or will congress just have hearings to give the Republicans and Democrat politicians political cover since they are all statist anyway and they like a cowed populace, makes it easier for them to remain in power.   You wonder why there has been a concerted push against the second amendment?  The Justice department that is selectively enforcing laws got caught pulling phone records of the AP staff?  This is by accident?   Nothing here but to remind the Obamamedia what can happen if they deviate from the crafted script.

 All of this is be design to make the citizenry helpless.  They just got their hand caught in the cookie jar...this time.  I wonder what other scandals are floating out there compliments of the most transparent administration in history.

Airbus 350 rolled out.

Airbus is rolling out a new airplane,  Airbus airplanes normally look plain, but this one has the characteristics of a Boeing 757, the long and sleek look.   The winglet design looks interesting.

Airbus on May 17 will hand over the first A350-900, MSN001, to it’s flight-test department, industry sources tell Aviation Week.
Once transferred to the flight-test department, the aircraft will undergo the last phases of ground testing, including high-speed taxi tests. Airbus will not comment on the exact timing of these tests.
Sources familiar with the program say that it will take about 20 days to prepare the aircraft for first flight, although Airbus only will say that the aircraft will make its first flight “this summer.”
The manufacturer has indicated that it is unlikely the A350 will fly before the Paris Air Show in June, but the 20-day period ends about one week before the opening of the event at Le Bourget.
First-flight dates can be affected by weather problems or last-minute technical issues.
Airbus today rolled out MSN001 from the paint hangar. The aircraft was painted in less than a week and it’s flight-test instrumentation is largely installed, along with it’s Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines. MSN001 also has completed a series of ground vibration tests.
Industry sources say the aircraft is sufficiently complete to fly very soon.
Unlike previous aircraft debuts, Airbus did not hold a roll-out ceremony, but it did present the aircraft to a group of employees.
Airbus lists 414 firm orders for the A350-900, 92 for the A350-800 and 110 for the A350-1000. Given a recent surge in demand, Chief Operating Officer-Customers John Leahy has indicated that he would like to see production rates for the aircraft increase sooner rather than later

IRS giving special scrutiny to conservative groups...

I have my theories what had transpired.  I used to work in a union shop at Ford.  The government unions were different, they were omnipotent and untouchable.  I am convinced that the AFGE or some of the other smaller unions under the AFL-CIO umbrella had promised Obama and the democrats all the assistance possible, and I am convinced that the employees that did this were "encouraged" to do so by their shop steward.  Anything to help " their" man.  And they told the democrats and Obama that they will render all aid possible.  I don't think Obama and crew knew the specifics of the assistance.   On the other hand, it could be part of the "Chicago way" that is endemic with this administration.   I hope more details will come out.

    

Breaking: IRS Apologizes for Targeting Tea Party and Patriot Groups

Finally, for those of you have not seen it, the IRS today admitted that they unfairly targeted conservative tax-exempt organizations for further review during the 2012 election cycle.  As many of you know, organizations that included the words "tea party" or "patriot" in their tax-exempt applications to the IRS were targeted for additional review and required to submit unnecessary and private information.  This is another example of extreme overreach by this Administration and the Tea Party Patriots is rejecting the apology of Lois Lerner, who oversees tax-exempt groups at the IRS.  The apology comes 6 months after one of the most important election cycles, and it is quite clear that this was deliberate harassment of the Tea Party Patriots and other organizations with similar missions, orchestrated by IRS officials who have, thus far, not been fired.  The Tea Party Patriots will continue to push for more transparency about what took place last year, and we are urging the IRS to fire all individuals who took part in this illegal harassment.

EXCERPT:  "Just months after being slimed by President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign, Mitt Romney supporter and businessman Frank VanderSloot was informed that he was going to be audited not only by the Internal Revenue Service, but by the Labor Department as well."

The Obama campaign stated about VanderSloot that was one of the: ”wealthy individuals with less-than-reputable records.”

Now even WITH the new liberal math of 2+2 = whatever makes your self-esteem feel good, Obama outs this guy, his CAMPAIGN outs this guy, and then he gets audited by the IRS AND the Dept of Labor! This has the fingerprints of Obama, Axlerod, and Valerie "Rasputin" Jarrett, all from Chicago, all over it.

Monday Music.......Manic Monday

The sound is kinda appropriate since it has Monday in it and I am featuring it as part of my Monday Music.  I remember this song hit MTV real hard in early in 1986 while I was at A.I.T at Fort Devens., and we would watch this song on TV while waiting to form up in formation to march to class about a mile away.   Even now I don't know about most people but i associate music with where I was when I first heard the song.  To me I associate it with Fort Devens, most of the memories were not good in the beginning but the place introduced me to Boston, and I loved going to Boston and following in the footsteps of major historical figures and I actually drank a beer at the Bullfinch Pub off Boston Commons where they got the idea for "Cheers".   I hated Massachusetts but I loved Boston.  Well anyway, here is Manic Monday.

It was written by Prince, using the pseudonym "Christopher". Originally intended for the group Apollonia 6 in 1984, he offered the song to The Bangles two years later. Hero takes a fall

Prince wrote "Manic Monday" in 1984, and recorded it as a duet for the band Apollonia 6's self-titled album; however, he eventually pulled the song. Two years later, he offered the single to The Bangles under the pseudonym "Christopher", a character he played in the 1986 film Under the Cherry Moon. It was rumored by various writers that after Prince listened to the band's 1984 debut album All Over the Place, he gave the song to Bangles lead singer Susanna Hoffs, so that in return she would sleep with him.
Peterson explained in an interview with MTV UK in 1989 about why Prince gave them the song: "[Prince] really liked our first album. He liked the song 'Hero Takes a Fall', which is a great compliment, because we liked his music. He contacted us, and said, 'I've got a couple of songs for you. I'd like to know if you're interested,' and of course we were. One of the songs Prince brought to the group was 'Manic Monday', written under the pseudonym of Christopher." Peterson talked about the evolution of what Prince brought them: "It was a Banglefication of a Prince arrangement. He had a demo, that was very specifically him. It was a good song, but we didn't record it like 'This is our first hit single! Oh my God! I can feel it in my veins!' We just did the song, and the album, and then sat back and thought about it."
A pop song written in D Major, "Manic Monday" moves at a tempo of 116 beats per minute and is set in common time. "Eternal Flame" is a ballad and love song by The Bangles from their 1988 album Everything. It became a hit single, when released in 1989, peaking at number one in the charts in nine countries, including Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States. It was written by popular songwriters Billy Steinberg and Tom Kelly and The Bangles' own Susanna Hoffs. With this song and "Walk Like an Egyptian", The Bangles became only the third girl group to score multiple number-ones in the United States, after The Supremes (twelve) and The Shirelles (two).

Virgin Galactic breaks sound barrier....

I pulled this off "Aviation Week".  Since the shuttle is grounded and we are having to pay the Russians a LOT of money to get our astronauts to the International Space Center.  I am very happy that private ventures are picking up the slack.  Virgin Galactic has broken the sound barrier with first powered flights.  More flights and faster speeds are in the works for 2014.  I will cut and paste the article.

Powered flight tests of Virgin Galactic's SpaceShipTwo (SS2) suborbital spaceplane are expected to resume by early June following the vehicle's first rocket-propelled flight over Mojave, Calif., on April 29.
Although only 16 sec. of SS2's 13-min. flight were powered by its hybrid RM2 rocket motor, the event was hailed by Virgin Galactic founder Richard Branson as the “single most important flight test to date.” Coming 2.5 years after the first glide flight of SS2, the powered test also marks the start of the final envelope-expansion phase and the “very realistic goal of full spaceflight by the year's end,” he adds.
Whether that is achievable will depend on the success of the forthcoming flights that will end with a maximum apogee demonstration flight to 361,000 ft. At that point, SS2 developer Scaled Composites will turn the vehicle over to Virgin Galactic, which plans to begin commercial suborbital services from Spaceport America, N.M., in 2014. Tests will follow a “methodical build-up” to the maximum apogee flight says Scaled President Kevin Mickey, gradually expanding the supersonic aerodynamic flight envelope, launch weight and structural loads.
Scaled is optimistic tests will remain on track partly because of experience gained during flight tests of the SpaceShipOne (SS1) vehicle during the build-up to winning the Ansari X-Prize almost a decade ago. “We learned a tremendous amount on SS1, which will minimize any test surprises,” says Mickey. The 17-flight SS1 test program included just six rocket-powered flights in 2003-04, and uncovered several issues with directional stability, flight control and avionics systems.
“With SS1, we leapt to the ultimate goal fairly quickly. The goal of this program is different to SS1. It is our job to help Virgin and The Spaceship Co. mature this into a commercial operation, and we'll take steps to ensure the vehicle's safety and robustness,” he adds. The Spaceship Co. (TSC) is Scaled Composites' wholly owned manufacturing sister business .
Although Mickey acknowledges that “with any testing, you don't know what you don't know,” he says the overall level of maturity of the SS2 design and systems makes the upcoming test effort more predictable. For example, maximum dynamic pressure (Max q) testing, which is the next major target, was almost completed on the rocket-powered April 29 flight. “That will be an important data point,” Mickey says.
The powered test flight began when SS2, mounted below the wing of the WhiteKnightTwo carrier aircraft, took off from Mojave at 7.03 a.m. local time. Launch occurred 45 min. later from an altitude of almost 47,000 ft. Following release from the carrier aircraft, Scaled test pilots Mark Stucky and Mike Alsbury “lit the rocket almost immediately,” says Mickey. The rocket boosted the vehicle to Mach 1.22 and an apogee of 56,200 ft. following rocket burnout after 16 sec.
    
“The pilots described it as being a gentler ignition than they expected. It was a smoother, gentler acceleration,” Mickey says. Transonic transition was nominal “which was the milestone of this flight,” he adds. The vehicle glided back to Mojave where it landed safely just after 8 a.m.
“It's a good start, but we still have to get through Max q and supersonic reentry and various other milestones,” says Virgin Galactic President/CEO George Whitesides. However, in terms of the overall flight-test program, Whitesides says the success of the initial powered flight is a pivotal achievement. “If you look at the overall risk embedded in the program, this flight reduced a large portion of that risk. With any supersonic vehicle, this is probably one of the most important test milestones to get through, and the vehicle's performance through Mach 1 looked good in terms of flutter. In terms of a single flight, this was probably the greatest burden of risk in the flight-test program.”
The start of powered tests is also expected to boost business for Virgin Galactic, the world's first registered spaceline. Passenger bookings have passed 570, according to Whitesides. “We are looking at up to 600 pretty soon. Most people are probably eager to have it tested out,” he says. In addition, business is anticipated from scientific experiments, including flight tests of developmental space-access technology payloads for NASA's Flight Opportunities Program.
Work on additional RM2 rocket motors meanwhile continues at Sierra Nevada Corp., which Whitesides confirms will continue to be the baseline choice for propulsion. “We've had a bunch of contracts looking at tweaks to the hybrid rocket, but our baseline is what we're doing now. We will keep working with different folks to keep improving (the propulsion system) but the qualification program went really well.”

"The Night Stalker" and other stuff

I am taking a break from all the political postings, involving Bengazi, you know where Obama lied and 4 American died.  He didn't want to be bothered since he had an important fundraiser to attend in Vegas and he needed his rest.  Then they blame some video rather than admit that Al-Queda was behind it, you know can't disturb the narrative that  Al-Queda was on the ropes and that Obama personally "got" Bin Laden.  Gotta win the re-election...may Candy Crowley rot in hell for what she did during the debate.  She sold her journalistic integrity to support the ObamaMessiah.   We also had fast and furious where the U.S. government runs guns into Mexico to support the narrative that the guns used in the drug wars came from us to support an take down of the 2nd amendment.  After it boomeranged, the gun control push died until Sandy Hook where the rat bastards Godless communist democrats danced on the blood of the innocents to push an agenda that wouldn't have prevented Sandy Hook, it is just an excuse for more control.  I'm not even touching on the U-6 unemployment rate, the over-regulations that are strangling American business and of course Obamacare...you know the law that" we had to pass to see what was in it" according to now former Democrat house speaker Pelosi. 

I am watching "Mission Impossible" right now and the guest cast includes Darren McGavin.  I enjoy the "old" TV shows, you know the ones that are fun to watch, and are not preachy like a lot of them are now.  The old shows actually had a viable storyline and good actors.  Well I remembered Darren McGavin from the Night Stalker movies and of course as Ralphie's dad in "A Christmas Story".

The first of his two best-known roles came in 1972, in the supernatural-themed TV movie The Night Stalker (1972). With McGavin playing a reporter who discovers the activities of a modern-day vampire on the loose in Las Vegas, the film became the highest-rated made-for-TV movie in history at that time; and when the sequel The Night Strangler (1973) also was a strong success, a subsequent television series Kolchak: The Night Stalker (1974) was made. In the series, McGavin played Carl Kolchak, an investigative reporter for the INS, a Chicago-based news service, who regularly stumbles upon the supernatural or occult basis for a seemingly mundane crime; although his involvement routinely assisted in the dispelment of the otherworldly adversary, his evidence in the case was always destroyed or seized, usually by a public official or major social figure who sought to cover up the incident. He would write his ensuing stories in a sensational, tabloid style which advised readers that the true story was being withheld from them. McGavin and the cast were enthusiastic about the series. McGavin reportedly entered into a verbal agreement with Sid Sheinberg (President of MCA and Universal TV) to produce The Night Stalker as a TV series as a coproduction between Universal and McGavin's Taurean Productions. Early promises were never fulfilled, and McGavin expressed concern over script quality and lack of network commitment toward promoting the show. His concerns appeared justified, as the series drifted into camp humor and the production values declined in later episodes.^[4]
Kolchak is acknowledged^[who?] as being a main inspiration forThe X-Files.^{[citation needed]} McGavin was asked to play the role of Arthur Dales, founder of the X-Files, in three episodes: Season 5's "Travelers" and two episodes from Season 6, "Agua Mala" and "The Unnatural". Failing health forced him to withdraw from the latter, and the script (written and directed by series star David Duchovny) was rewritten to feature M. Emmet Walsh as Dales's brother, also called Arthur.

In 1983, he starred as "Old Man Parker", the narrator's father, in the movie A Christmas Story. He portrayed a middle-class father in 1940s Hohman, Indiana, who was endearing in spite of his being comically oblivious to his own use of profanity and completely unable to recognize his unfortunate taste for kitsch. Blissfully unaware of his family's embarrassment by his behavior, he took pride in his self-assessed ability to fix anything in record time, and carried on a tireless campaign against his neighbor's rampaging bloodhounds. McGavin allegedly received a fee of $2 million to play the role, making him one of the highest paid actors of the time.

Monday Music "ABBA...Dancing Queen and S.O.S"

This is another installment of Monday Music.  I decided to go with ABBA, I was an Army dependent(I was 10 years old) living in Frankfurt Germany because my Dad was stationed there.  Well anyway there was this group in Europe that was on fire, there was ABBA pandemonium all over Europe, they were on the radio, on TV on magazines, on corner billboards...everywhere.  And I liked the music.   Even now when I hear it, it has a lot of depth, they called it " wall of sound" and it even now sounds good all these years later.

ABBA was a Swedish pop group formed in Stockholm in 1972, comprising Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad. ABBA is an acronym of the first letters of the band members' first names (Agnetha, Benny, Bjorn and Anni-Frid) and is sometimes stylized as the registered trademark ᗅᗺᗷᗅ. They became one of the most commercially successful acts in the history of pop music, topping the charts worldwide from 1972 to 1982. They are also known for winning the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest, giving Sweden its first victory in the history of the contest and being the most successful group ever to take part in the contest.
ABBA had sold over 370 million albums and singles worldwide and still sell millions of records a year,^[1][2] which makes them one of the best-selling music artists of all time. ABBA was the first pop group to come from a non-English-speaking country that enjoyed consistent success in the charts of English-speaking countries, including the UK, Ireland, the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Philippines and South Africa. The group also enjoyed significant success in Latin American markets, and recorded a collection of their hit songs in Spanish.
During the band's active years, Fältskog and Ulvaeus were a married couple, as were Lyngstad and Andersson, although both couples later divorced. At the height of their popularity, both relationships were suffering strain which ultimately resulted in the collapse of the Ulvaeus-Fältskog marriage in 1979 and the Andersson-Lyngstad marriage in 1981. These relationship changes were reflected in the group's music^{[citation needed]}, with later compositions including more introspective lyrics.
After ABBA broke up in late 1982, Andersson and Ulvaeus achieved success writing music for the stage while Lyngstad and Fältskog pursued solo careers with mixed success. ABBA's music declined in popularity until several films, notably Muriel's Wedding and The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, revived interest in the group, spawning several tribute bands. In 1999, ABBA's music was adapted into the successful musical Mamma Mia! that toured worldwide. A film of the same name released in 2008 became the highest-grossing film in the United Kingdom that year. The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on 15 March 2010.^[3]

Recording began in ABBA's Polar Music Studio, Stockholm, in February 1982. As ABBA were unofficially on a break, Lyngstad spent time on her solo project. At the time of recording this song/album, Frida wanted to distance herself from "the typical ABBA pop sound". "I Know There's Something Going On" was written by Russ Ballard and produced by Genesis drummer & singer Phil Collins, who also played drums on the song. The backing vocals are sung by Lyngstad herself & Collins.
The song and video were released in Autumn 1982 and became a massive hit. It hit No. 1 in France (spending five weeks on top), Belgium, Switzerland and Costa Rica and was a Top 10 hit throughout the whole of Europe, as well as in Australia and South Africa. In the United States, the track reached No. 13.^[1] In the UK, the song peaked at No. 43 in September 1982 and spent seven weeks inside the Top 75.
The single sold 3.5 million copies worldwide.
A one hour TV documentary about the making of the album and this song, is included in Frida - The DVD. The whole recording process, from day one in the studio to the release party, was filmed by Swedish TV SVT. This documentary includes interviews with Frida and Phil, Björn and Benny from ABBA, as well as all the musicians playing on the album.

Music video

The music video was directed by Stuart Orme and filmed at several locations in London, England in early July 1982. The video, which received heavy promotion on MTV due to the worldwide success of the song, shows Frida as a young woman in a struggling relationship. She then discovers through photos taken at a fashion shoot that her husband or lover is seeing another woman.
The video is included in Frida - The DVD.

     In October 1984, Ulvaeus and Andersson together with lyricist Tim Rice released the musical concept double album Chess. The singles "One Night in Bangkok" (with vocals by Murray Head and Anders Glenmark ) and "I Know Him So Well" (a duet by Barbara Dickson and Elaine Paige, and later also recorded by both Barbra Streisand and Whitney Houston) were both hugely successful. The former reached number 1 in Australia, Germany, Spain and Switzerland; number 2 in Austria, France and New Zealand; number 3 in Canada, Norway, Sweden and the US, as well as reaching the top 10 in a few other countries.

I saw this on Sipsey Street Irregular.  This is an op piece up in Des Moine.  I cut and pasted an exerpt.  The person typing the piece is a far better wordsmith than I am.  Here is the Link It was too long to cut and Paste.   Very worth the read.

I’ve come to realize after the Sandy Hook shooting that the reason we can’t have a rational gun debate is because the anti-gun side pre-supposes that their pro-gun opponents must first accept that guns are bad in order to have a discussion about guns in the first place. Before we even start the conversation, we’re the bad guys and we have to admit it. Without accepting that guns are bad and supplicating themselves to the anti-gunner, the pro-gunner can’t get a word in edgewise, and is quickly reduced to being called a murderer, or a low, immoral and horrible human being.

Gun people don’t trust anti-gun people because in a single breath they tell us that the Second Amendment is irrelevant today and should be repealed because semi-automatic weapons didn’t exist when the Bill of Rights was written, then turn around and say the First Amendment protects radio, television, movies, video games, the Internet, domain names, Facebook and Twitter. Carrying liberal logic on the Second Amendment through to the First Amendment, it would only cover the town crier, and hand-operated printing presses producing only books and newspapers, and nothing else.  Even anything written with a No. 2 pencil or ballpoint pen would not be included. And those of you belonging to religions that formed after the 1790s? You’re screwed under liberal logic, too.

Death by a thousand cuts

Gun people don’t trust anti-gun people because anti-gunners always talk about 90 percent of Americans supporting this gun control measure, or 65 percent supporting that one, as if a majority opinion is what truly matters in America. We don’t trust anti-gun people because you think America is a democracy, when it’s actually a constitutional federal republic. In the American system, the rights of a single individual are what matters and are what our system is designed to protect. The emotional mob does not rule in America.

Gun people don’t trust anti-gun people because they keep saying they “respect the Second Amendment” and go on about how they respect the hunting traditions of America. We don’t trust you because you have to be a complete idiot to think the Second Amendment is about hunting. I wish people weren’t so stupid that I have to say this: The Second Amendment is about checking government tyranny. Period. End of story. The founders probably couldn’t have cared less about hunting since, you know, they just got done with that little tiff with England called the Revolutionary War right before they wrote that “little book” called the Constitution.

Gun people don’t trust anti-gun people because they lie to us. President Obama directly says he won’t tamper with guns or the Second Amendment, then turns around and pushes Congress to do just that. We don’t trust anti-gunners because they appoint one of the most lying and rabidly (and moronically) anti-gun people in America, Vice President Biden, to head up a “task force” to “solve” the so-called “gun problem,” who in turn talks with anti-gun special interest groups instead of us to complete his task.

Gun people don’t trust anti-gun people because they tell us they don’t want to ban guns, only enact what they call “common sense gun laws.” But like a magician using misdirection, they tell everyone else they want to ban every gun everywhere. While some are busy trying to placate us with lies, another anti-gunner somewhere submits a gun ban proposal — proposals that often would automatically make us felons for possession. Felons, for no good reason. And you anti-gunners can roll up your grandfather clauses and stuff them where the sun don’t shine. If it ain’t good enough for our grandchildren in 60 years, it ain’t good enough for us right now.

Gun people don’t trust anti-gun people because they make horrifying predictions about how there will be blood in the streets, gunfights on every street corner and America will become the Wild West again if citizens are allowed to carry concealed firearms. We don’t trust anti-gun people because we know that despite the millions of Americans who have carry permits, those who carry guns commit crimes at a much lower rate than people who don’t. We know because we know ourselves and we’re not criminals. We know because concealed carry is now legal nearly everywhere, and guess what? Violent crime continues to go down. What a shocker.
Gun people don’t trust anti-gun people because they say gun control is about crime control. Anti-gunners claim that ending crime and “saving children” is why they want to ban so-called “assault weapons.” Yet our very own government says that assault weapons are used in less than two percent of all gun crimes and Department of Justice studies say the last assault weapons ban had little or no effect on crime. Other studies suggest Gun Control may make crime worse (one need only look to high crime rates in places where there’s a lot of gun control to see the possible connection).
Gun people don’t trust anti-gun people because when it comes to their “We need gun control to save the children” argument, many of us can’t understand how an anti-gun liberal can simultaneously be in favor of abortion. Because you know, a ban on abortion would save a child every single time. I’m personally not rabidly against abortion, but the discongruence makes less sense still when the reason abortions are legal is to protect a woman’s individual rights. That’s great, but does the individual rights argument sound familiar? Anti-gunners think that for some bizarre reason, the founding fathers happened to stick a collective right smack dab at the top of a list of individual rights, though. Yeah, because that makes sense.
Truth, treason and the empire of lies
Gun people don’t trust anti-gun people because they are purposely misleading to rile the emotions of the ignorant. We don’t trust anti-gunners because they say more than 30,000 people are killed each year by guns — a fact that is technically true, but the key piece of information withheld is that only a minor fraction of that number is murder; the majority is suicides and accidents. We don’t trust anti-gunners because we know accidents and suicides don’t count in the crime rate, but they’re held against us as if they do.
Gun people don’t trust anti-gun people because suicide is the only human-inflicted leading cause of death in America, and that violent crime has been on the decline for decades. We also know that 10 people die daily in drownings, 87 people die daily by poisoning, more than 20,000 adults die from falls each year, someone dies in a fire every 169 minutes, nearly 31,000 people are killed in car accidents annually and almost 2,000 are stabbed to death. People even kill each other with hammers. Yet fewer than 14,000 people are killed by guns of any kind each year.
Gun people don’t trust anti-gun people because not only is the violent crime rate approaching historic lows, but mass shootings are on the decline too.  We don’t trust anti-gun people because they fail to recognize that mass shootings happen where guns are already banned — ridiculous “gun-free zones” which attract homicidal maniacs to perpetrate their mass shootings.
Gun people don’t trust anti-gun people because school shootings have been happening forever, but despite them being on the decline, the media inflates the issue until the perception is that they’re a bigger problem than they really are. We don’t trust anti-gunners because they’re busy riling up the emotions of the ignorant, who in turn direct their ire upon us, demonizing us because we object to the overreaction and focus on the wrong things, like the mentally ill people committing the crimes.
Gun people don’t trust anti-gun people because they look down on us for defending the Second Amendment as vigorously as they defend the First Amendment — a fight we too would stand side-by-side with them on otherwise. We don’t trust anti-gunners because someone defending the First Amendment is considered a hero, but a someone defending the Second Amendment is figured down with murderers and other lowlifes. Where the First Amendment has its very own day and week, both near-holy national celebrations beyond reproach, anti-gunners would use the First Amendment to ridicule any equivalent event for the Second Amendment, like they did for a recent local attempt at the University of Iowa.

777X...Mini Jumbo war in the horizon as Boeing and Airbus go head to head with new airplane.

As those who read my blog on a regular basis know that I work in the aviation business.   So anything that is coming down the pike as far as innovation and changes has my interest.   I pulled this off Reuters and Bing for more background.   I have worked on the Boeing 777 and it is a big airplane, you don't realize how big they are until you are next to them.

SEATTLE/PARIS (Reuters) - Boeing has started offering its long-awaited 777X long-range jet, paving the way for a 'mini-jumbo' war with European rival Airbus, industry sources said on Wednesday.

The move backed by Boeing's board means that the commercial aircraft division can begin taking orders for a revamped version of its top-selling wide-bodied jet, the 777, which could include folding wingtips and new engines from General Electric .

Boeing declined to discuss the outcome of Monday's board meeting but said it was pushing ahead with the project to update the twin-engined jet, in service since the 1990s.
"We are taking the next step when it comes to engaging customers on the 777X," spokesman Doug Alder said. The company has "begun to discuss additional technical, pricing and schedule details with customers", he added.

Reuters reported on April 24 that Boeing was ready to go ahead with the project "within weeks", after one of its key customers, British Airways , placed a $6 billion order for A350-1000 jets from rival Airbus .

Until now, Boeing has enjoyed a virtual monopoly in the lucrative market for large twin-engined jets, boosting its margins, but Airbus has started challenging that position with its 350-seat A350-1000, due to enter service in 2017.
Boeing's response is a substantial overhaul in the design of the 777, expected to enter service around 2020.
BOOST FOR SUPPLIERS
People familiar with the matter said the Boeing board had approved the so-called "authority to offer", allowing sales to proceed. The people declined to be identified because they are not authorized to discuss actions of the board.
After attracting enough orders, Boeing would go back to the board for permission to start developing and building the jet.
If launched, the program would bring billions of dollars of business to suppliers of aircraft parts. In March, Boeing chose General Electric to develop the engines, renewing their exclusive partnership on the most recent 777s.
The 777X is a planned successor to the industry's most popular large twin-engined aircraft seating more than 300 passengers. The original 777 was introduced in 1995 and is the last new plane Boeing developed before the 787. Its most popular version is the more recent 777-300ER.
The 777X would compete from around the turn of the decade with the Airbus A350-1000 to carve up a potential market of at least 2,000 aircraft worth about $500 billion over 20 years.
The cost of the 777X development has not been disclosed but after industrial delays followed by a grounding of its 787 Dreamliner, Boeing will hope that upgrading a familiar jet costs significantly less than the $15 billion for an all-new aircraft.
"Boeing has been waiting to see what happened with the A350-1000, and the BA order clearly swung their decision," said Agency Partners analyst Nick Cunningham in London.
"It could be an awesome competitor, given the success of 777-300ER, but I suspect it will end up having most of the cost and risk of a complete new program."
Emirates, which runs the biggest fleet of 777s, is among those clamoring for the cost-saving 777X as early as possible.
Airbus says that its carbon-composite A350 is lighter and cheaper to run than the 777X, which will keep a metallic body. Boeing is expected to argue that an all-new wing and new engine will make the 400-seat 777X cheaper to operate per seat.
Industry sources say that Boeing has been offering the plane informally for months, while fine-tuning the design with focus groups of airlines and lessors. It has also been offering a stretched version of its 787 Dreamliner after a similar but unannounced board decision taken late last year, they added.
HEAD TO HEAD
Until this week Boeing had held off granting the formal "authority to offer" the 777X as it juggles the looming threat from Airbus with the need to avoid undermining the value of a large order backlog of existing 777s.
Now that the 777X is being offered to customers, the next move could begin within 12 months, making the end-of-decade timetable feasible, analysts said.
Timed to dominate discussion at the June 17-21 Paris air show, Boeing's decision allows the 777X to go head to head with the A350-1000 in contests at big hitters such as Japan Airlines or Gulf carriers led by Dubai-based Emirates.
After losing to Airbus on part of British Airways' fleet renewal plans, industry sources say that Boeing is already in informal talks to persuade the European airline to place a parallel order for the main model, the 777-9X.
The 777-9X would have about 406 seats and a range of more than 8,100 nautical miles, aiming to leapfrog the 350-seat A350-1000, two sources briefed on Boeing's plans said.
It would have a new carbon-composite wing and folding wing tips to increase wing span without needing more parking space, which would incur additional airport fees. Boeing also is thought to be considering a smaller, longer-range 777-8X.
The head of Qatar Airways said on Wednesday that he would be "very interested" in both models.

Even as its 1000th 777 rolled off the line on Friday 2 March, Boeing was working on its blueprints for the next generation of its hugely successful twinjet.
The airframer is now advancing towards a probable late-2012 launch of a conceptual 777X family that the company's internal assessments tout as the most efficient commercial aircraft ever developed.
Boeing spent 2010 and 2011 honing its concept for the three-member 777X-family aircraft as a competitive response to the larger Airbus A350-900 and -1000. Boeing envisages the concept's firm configuration being established in 2015, flying in late 2017 or 2018 and entering service by 2019.
"We're working towards being in a position toward the end of this year to talk to our board. That's assuming the business case closes, that's assuming the technical trades are ones that close," says Boeing Commercial Airplanes chief executive Jim Albaugh.
When its hand was forced by American Airlines's narrowbody order in July 2011, Boeing scrambled to revive its 737 re-engining study as a formal programme. Although at the time its basic features were well understood by the airframer, much of the sharpening of the 737 Max's configuration and performance has come after its unveiling, rather than prior to its launch.
While the industry's attention in 2011 was focused on its plans for the single-aisle segment, Boeing was beavering away on the 777's successor. Its concept for the stretched 777-9X, -8X, and a distantly conceived ultra-long-range -8LX, is now at a significantly advanced point, including completion of a first round of wind tunnel testing, say those familiar with the planning.
"We always work with customers on future 777 improvements and what we can do to remain the market leader. We have been working hard on developing options to improve on the 777's popularity and we feel very comfortable with where we are in that process," says Boeing, declining to confirm details of its 777X concept.
Looking to further bolster its dominance in the widebody segment, if Boeing's conceptual jet is made real the airframer will have entirely reshaped its widebody portfolio. It also has the potential to make the 777 the first twin-aisle programme to reach 2,000 deliveries.
Emirates, which today operates more than one in every 10 777s built, calls the concept "an excellent aircraft", says Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the airline's chairman, who was briefed on Boeing's latest designs on 3 March.
The steps Boeing took to get to its first 1,000 deliveries, an incremental approach that updated the 777 from the earliest A-market -200, -300 and long-range -200ER to the re-engined GE90-powered -300ER, -200LR and Freighter are again at play, but a more significant jump on the -8X and -9X appears to be in the offing.
Currently, Boeing conceptualises a three-product family that stretches the fuselage of the 777-200ER and -300ER to establish two new three-class 353- and 407-seat aircraft, becoming the 777-8X and -9X.
The redefinition of its widebody line will place roughly 15% breaks in seat counts from the 242-seat 787-8 all the way to the 467-seat 747-8I, with five 8,000nm (14,800km) aircraft, while its high-capacity 12,400km (6,700nm) 787-10X and ultra-long-range 777-8LX would offer range flexibility between 323 and 353 seats, respectively.
If launched under its current conceptual specifications, say those familiar with the details, the 777-9X would yield a 21% improvement in per-seat fuel burn and a 16% improvement a cash operating cost per-seat over today's 777-300ER.
Such jumps in efficiency are more usually reserved for clean sheet aircraft, and simply put, the long-range twin would be Boeing's most efficient jetliner ever developed, even exceeding the conceptual performance of its 787-9 and -10X.
The 407-passenger, 76.48m (250ft 11in) long 777-9X, a four-frame stretch of the 777-300ER, would likely lead the new family. It would be powered by two General Electric GE9X engines, each providing 99,500lb of thrust, and have a maximum take-off weight (MTOW) of 344t (759,000lb).
The smaller 353-seat, 69.55m 777-8X, a ten-frame stretch of the 777-200ER, would follow the -9X with a significantly derated 88,000lb GE9X engine and 315t MTOW. It would be a direct competitor to the A350-900 and promises similar cash and fuel economics improvements over its -200ER predecessor as the -9X will over the -300ER.
A possible third family member sharing the 777-8X's fuselage length, would create the 777-8LX, an ultra-long-range shrink of the 777-9X with common MTOW, providing a mission range of 9,480nm, 85nm longer than the 9,395nm offered by the 777-200LR it would replace.
The reduced fuel burn and extended range may, for the first time, open the prospect of profitably operating flights between Sydney and London, without the requirement for a kangaroo stop in Southeast Asia.
Aerodynamically, a reshaped wing-to-body fairing could be available on today's 777 and carried over to the 777X. Additionally, a hybrid laminar flow control system to reduce drag, first developed for the 787-9, is also being studied for the new family, along with 127cm (50in) extensions on the composite horizontal stabiliser.
Under the skin of the new 777X family, which is likely to be advanced aluminum-lithium alloy, Boeing's concept envisages maintaining a 60% systems commonality with today's 777 offering, moving to a 38.3cm flight deck display arrangement similar to that of the 787. The aim, say those familiar with the planning, is to cut the 777/787 to 777X pilot transition time from five to 2.5 days.
In the cabin, Boeing looks to remove 4in from the 777X by carving the sidewall and frame shape, accommodating a more comfortable 10-abreast economy arrangement and nine-abreast premium economy offering.
Yet, those familiar with the planning caution that concepts are meant to evolve, and point out that just a year ago Boeing's New Small Airplane concept was the frontrunner to replace the 737, rather than re-engining.
"Coming off a record orders year for the 777 and an overall backlog extending beyond 2015, we have time to make the right product decisions aligned with technologies and the best timing for our customers," says Boeing.

The communist have special significence for May 1.  It is "Mayday" to them.  This is where all the socialist/communist and their fellow travelers have protest and other things against the western based civilizations.  Try having a protest in a communist country......Yeah right....

Today is the fifth annual Victims of Communism Day, a day to remember the people murdered by their own governments in their quest to achieve a "worker's paradise" where everyone is equal, where "to each according to his needs, from each according to his abilities" is the beautiful dream lie.  R.J. Rummel, Professor Emeritus of Political Science at the University of Hawaii, has calculated that the total number of victims of Communism - that is, the domestic victims of their own governments - in the USSR, China, Vietnam, North Korea and Cambodia is 98.4 million people.  For all Communist governments during the 20th Century, he puts the estimate at approximately 110 million.  And this wasn't in warfare against other nations, this was what these governments did to their own people - "breaking eggs" to make their utopian omlette...

    Now we have the same people here trying to to the same thing.  They believe that they are smarter than we are and that all the other socialist/communist government havn't got it right and by Lenin they will get it right...this time.....at our expense.

Monday Music "Don't pay the Ferryman" and the Arrow of Light

I am getting this installment of my Monday Music early on Monday...rather than late monday or even Tuesday Morning.   I will not have time tonight to post.  My son is getting his Arrow of Light from his Pack. 
     The Arrow of Light award is the highest award available to Cub Scouts. It requires the Scout to have earned the Webelos Scout badge and eight activity badges. In addition to the skill and activity requirements of the preceding ranks, the Arrow of Light requires Scouts to learn the Scout Promise and Scout Law, and visit one meeting and one activity of a Boy Scout troop, in preparation for advancing to the Boy Scouts. Earning the Arrow of Light will help earn many of the requirements for the lower ranks of the Boy Scouts. The Arrow of Light award is the only Cub Scout award that can be worn on a Boy Scout uniform. Both Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts wear the badge below the left pocket. Adults wear the square-knot version of the badge above the left pocket. Cub Scouts who earn the Arrow of Light are eligible to join a Boy Scout Troop prior to turning the normally-required age of eleven.  I will be coming in later tonight on account of that. 

                                  
    I decided to go with "Chris De Burgh" and his song "Don't pay the Ferryman"   This is from Wiki:
"Don't Pay the Ferryman" is a single by Chris de Burgh from the album The Getaway. It was produced in 1982. In 1983, the single reached #34 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States.^[1]
The song tells the story of a man who boards a ferryboat and sets off. A storm approaches and the ferryman demands payment from the patron. The song's narrator warns the passenger not to pay the ferryman until the boat arrives at its destination on the other side.
The repetitive lyrics are believed to have a connection with mythology. The song describes the ferryman as "the hooded old man at the rudder," and seems to connect to the classic image of the Grim Reaper, a hooded being (usually a skeleton) who leads lost souls to "the other side," also a lyric in the song. The ferryman demanding his payment is also similar to the Greek ferryman of the dead, Charon. He demanded an obolus (coin) to ferry dead souls across the River Styx. Those who did not pay were doomed to remain as ghosts, remaining on the plane of the mare, the restless dead. Therefore in former cultures coins were laid below the tongues of dead persons.

Obama's economic war against firearms.

I was pulling this off Breitbart.  Well since Obama failed through the legislature, now he is using his his crony capitalist pals with GE, Bank of America and others to run gun manufacturers out of business.

This is the definition of Fascism...its official. The merger between state and corporation. How else do you describe a company like GE, that took a $183 Billion bailout, that has now decided not to finance an industry that economically is successful. The laws of economics right now would oblige GE to fund a business that can so obviously return a profit because demand is high. Regardless of what Obama and his minions have said about the "majority" of America ready to give up their guns....economics say he is lying.
GE's decision is not one based on finances or business, it is a political decision. What is GE Capital doing in the world of politics?  

     Is there a list of companies that we need to not support besides GE, Bank of America and Comcast?

Gun Control Advocates Revel in Obama's Economic War on Guns

 

As gun control advocates cheered GE Captial's decision to cease business with gun stores, President Obama's economic war on the gun industry came into full view.

While Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) supports legislation to dry up the supply of firearms in this country, Obama and company are working behind the scenes to dry up the capital needed to make firearms and operate firearms related businesses.
We began seeing this in January when Obama's right hand man, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, began pressuring Bank of America (BA) and TD Bank to quit doing business with gun manufacturers.
Band of America was so eager to comply that they froze the account of Arizona AR-15 manufacturer Spirit Arms before Emanuel even put his request in writing.
Bank of America defended their action by pointing out that Spirit Arms allows customers to order guns over the internet without conducting a background check. BA missed the fact that the guns are not shipped to the customers directly but to a FFL near the customer, where a background check on the buyer is performed before the gun is handed to him or her.
Although BA was eventually shamed into reversing course, the impetus for their action was clear. Now that GE Capital has followed suit, gun control advocates are cheering their victory.
But other businesses are feeling the pressure as Obama, Democrats, and gun-control advocates attempt to turn Smith & Wesson and Glock into the equivalent of Marlboro or Winston cigarette manufacturers. Comcast Cable, for example, announced a ban on all firearm and ammunition advertisers in March.

Why does Obama and the Democrats have a hardon for Gun Control....?

Because his fellow traveler Sarah Brady is a socialist, JUST LIKE HE IS! Thank GOD for Owl Gore's Internet. Note the little blurb in the lower right hand corner.   How 'bout that....?   This isn't about guns...it is about CONTROL.

The small print reads:  "from remarks made to liberal U.S. Senator Howard Metzenbaum (he was actually a communist) as she lobbied in support of a ban on semi-automatic firearms.

How odd that this surfaces now. Sarah Brady trots out her useful idiot husband, to champion their gun grabbing cause when in reality, she, like all Democrats, wants total control over the population.

Epic FAIL....

This ties in with my previous post about the talking heads wishing that the Boston Bombers were white dudes so it would support the narrative that is being pushed.   It sucks to be wrong.....again!   The bombers were.....wait for it.........Muslim.   You know the religion of Peace...you know..the ones that flew planes into buildings.   The religion that is intolerant of others......You doubt that...?   Ask how any Christians are doing on Sharia controlled countries.....The Copts in Egypt....In Iraq...any country where Islam is a majority.  We are expected to be tolerant, but they get a free pass.   Everybody don't hold Islam to the same standards like the other religions...They pat Islam on the head and say " there, there..." and excuse the latest barbarism.  When will the world treat Islam like all other religion?   Wait..they might get a Jihad called on them and have people blow themselves and your citizens up in bombs....gotta placate the Muslims...can't offend them....they might self destruct...and take you with them    Wait I can't say that...I might get a fatwa against me....Mustn't offend the Muslims.....

Now if it had been anybody else..they will get investigated...but not Muslims   Don't support the political correctness coming out of the government....
