Obungler and Hitler Youth comparison

I got this link from my Dad and watched it, it is a comparison of Obungler and Hitler youth.  Both uses propaganda and children.  The Children are the most impressionable in our society.  What Hitler was doing with the HJ(Hitler Jungend) or as we called it "HItler Youth".  You push a long term change of society starting off with the children.  The Soviets did the same thing, especially with Stalin,
 his NKVD
used the children to basically spy on their parents and if the parents were "disloyal" then the internal security apparatus would pay a visit and depending on the transgression, anything from a beating to making a visit to a Gulag for an extended stay at the behest of the state.  I see this video and all I can think of with those little American kids, they were singing to make their teacher happy but it also is indoctrination.  What will happen if Obungler gets reelected, will we have this stuff happening here?  Can you imagine what it does for the traditional family structure when the kids can use the state to punish the parents?   maybe that is what they want, having the new generation swear loyalty to a figurehead rather than their parents.  the government will be both mother and father, can you imagine what the kids will turn out as?

Reagonomics....

For the Record

It's time for Reaganomics again
"If you really want to light the fuse of a liberal Democrat, compare Barack Obama's economic performance after 30 months in office with that of Ronald Reagan. It's not at all flattering for Mr. Obama. The two presidents have a lot in common. Both inherited an American economy in collapse. And both applied daring, expensive remedies. Mr. Reagan passed the biggest tax cut ever, combined with an agenda of deregulation, monetary restraint and spending controls. Mr. Obama, of course, has given us a $1 trillion spending stimulus. By the end of the summer of Reagan's third year in office, the economy was soaring. The GDP growth rate was 5% and racing toward 7%, even 8% growth. In 1983 and '84 output was growing so fast the biggest worry was that the economy would 'overheat.' In the summer of 2011 we have an economy limping along at barely 1% growth and by some indications headed toward a 'double-dip' recession. By the end of Reagan's first term, it was Morning in America. Today there is gloomy talk of America in its twilight. My purpose here is not more Reagan idolatry, but to point out an incontrovertible truth: One program for recovery worked, and the other hasn't." --columnist Stephen Moore

"When a business or an individual spends more than it makes, it goes bankrupt. When government does it, it sends you the bill. And when government does it for 40 years, the bill comes in two ways: higher taxes and inflation. Make no mistake about it, inflation is a tax and not by accident." --Ronald Reagan

Zombies.....

United States Army and Zombies......

9-11 rememberance

I am watching the NATGEO 9-11 interview with President Bush.  Listening to him talking about 9-11 and the people that would never forget that day.  I remembered what I was doing on that day.  I  was asleep since I was working the evening shift at Ford Motor Company  building cars and we were on overtime so I had gotten home late and was asleep.  I remember getting a call from my wife after the first plane hit the tower. I turned the TV on just in time to see the second plane hit the tower.  I was in shock and I knew that we were at war.  I had told people for years that the terrorist would strike here because we are considered the "great satan" by the squirrels of islam.    After watching the news , I had to go to work and sign in, Ford was shut down, but if I wanted to get paid, I still had to sign in.  As I was driving in, there was absolutely no planes in the air, the plant was right off I-75 next to the airport.  I was used to seeing and hearing airplanes all the time coming in for landing.  But there was absolutely nothing in the air, and it was a bright blue sky.  It was surreal.
When I see the pictures or see the footage, it still hurts for the sheer loss of life and the shock.

A Democrats guide on Emergency Preparedness and the Zombie Apocalypse

H/T to Morlock

A Democrat's Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse

Welcome back as we continue to show democrats what to do in case of emergencies.  The Zombie Apocalypse is a growing concern in today's world.  But do you know what to do if it were to come to America?  Especially if you are a Democrat, this situation is not so cut and dry as Republicans would have you believe.  So let's go through the most important things to remember in a Zombie Attack if you are a Democrat.

1.  A giant Zombie Hoard is approaching.  What do you do?  First you need to ascertain if these are actually zombies.  A giant swarm of mind numbed automatons could be just some of the Democrat base.  Check for signs or t-shirts with the following logos: AFL-CIO, ACORN, SEIU, PETA, MoveOn.org, Teamsters, Amnesty Intl., CAIR, ACLU, or anyone from Berkeley.  This could avert a lot of confusion and you may choose to join the marchers in their chants and monotonous din.
May or May not be a Zombie

2.    Ok so you have discovered that these creatures are actual zombies.  Well, you can't just go and label these as creatures bent on eating you.  Try to understand them.  They're people too, or at least they once were.  What motivates them?  Is it just an unquenchable thirst for brains or are they too a victim of our corrupt society's obsession with greed?  Maybe you could appoint an ambassador to represent the zombies.  If Al Sharpton is a zombie, now would be a good time to give him a megaphone.
Zombie Al

3.   These Zombies apparently mean business.  Well, your next course of action should come naturally: Sanctions.  Yes a trade embargo on brains should teach the zombies that you mean business.  If they continue on their current course toward you, they need to know that they will no longer get the brains they so desire.
Typical Protest Sign seen at Zombie Rallies

4.   Now would be a good time to find shelter.  Do not build anything unless you have the proper permit.  This could be dangerous to do without a government agency overseeing the construction of said shelter.  Also off limits are the following: Historical Sites, Endangered species habitats, Potential Endangered Species Habitats, Forests, Beaches, Mountains, Hills, or pretty much anywhere that might disturb wildlife.  Poor Neighborhoods should also be avoided. This would not be fair to them.  Rich Neighborhoods and Corporate buildings are OK if you can get passed the Armed Owners.  The most logical decision is where Democrats always run to solve a problem: Government Buildings.
Only sanctioned Zombie Shelter.  Hope you don't live far from DC.

5.   Protection is a necessity.  But under no circumstances are you to use Firearms.  The 2nd Amendment says nothing about protecting yourself against Zombies.  Knives, Swords, Machetes, or Axes are also dangerous and off limits.  Use a stick that is no thicker than your finger and no longer than your arm.  This will have the desired effect of protecting oneself from the zombies while keeping safety a number one priority.
Don't even think about it!

6.  When defending yourself against the onslaught of brain hungry golems, you should keep the following rules of engagement in mind:  Never strike the zombie on the face.  This could cause damage to the Zombie which would result in a potential lawsuit.  This is also true for Hands, arms, neck, legs, groin, feet, or buttocks.  Only light body blows should be considered.

7.  If there are people with brains around you, then you should immediately volunteer them for a shared sacrifice approach.  They share their brains and you sacrifice your time in contributing in this.  Fellow democrats do not make suitable brain donors so look for a nearby republican, if there are any left in the vicinity.  Most Republicans will be in Non-sanctioned Zombie shelters and armed with shotguns.  Don't worry we will give them all fines later.
Nugent: Leader of the Republican Zombie Resistance

8.  At this point you may have been bitten.  You should immediately bite as many people as you can while you are still semi-aware.  This would be unfair if some of the ones around you are not zombies.  The Zombie ACLU may assist you in this.

9.  Well you are a full fledged zombie at this point.  You are a Brain Dead Putrid Moaning hideous Creature that only reacts to its base needs while sucking the life out of those around you.   In other words, You're a Democrat,  nothing much has changed.

MD88s and MD 90's to remain with Delta

I don't work on MD88's MD 90's and Boeing 717's.  They basically are the same series of aircraft.  When Delta placed that order for 100 737's some media speculated that Delta will finally get rid of their MD fleet.  I saw this on one of the aircraft blogs that I check out and figure I would post it since I like airplanes.

August 26, 2011

Despite media speculation about the future of Delta’s MD-88 and MD-90 fleet, the airline has no plans to retire the domestic aircraft.
“MD-88s and MD-90s are the workhorses of our domestic fleet,” said Nat Pieper, v.p.-Fleet Strategy. “They are flexible, cost-efficient aircraft, and we will be flying them for many years to come.”
On Thursday, Delta announced plans to purchase 100 new Boeing 737-900ER aircraft between 2013 and 2018, to replace domestic Boeing 757s, 767s and Airbus A320s that retire during the seven-year delivery period.
A story published by Dow Jones Newswire suggested that the new aircraft could also replace MD-88s and MD-90s. But Nat stressed that there are no plans to phase out those aircraft, which have been upgraded with new roomier interiors, extended overhead bins, in-flight Wi-Fi, additional first class seats, and other customer amenities.
Delta has 117 MD-88s in service, as well as 28 MD-90s. Delta has an additional 30 used MD-90s in the process of being upgraded or under contract, all of which are projected to join the fleet by 2013.

Airplane stuff

I work in the aviation field and here in Atlanta the hometown airline, Delta announced plans to purchase 100 new Boeing Boeing 737-900ER's from Boeing to replace the older Boeing 757, Boeing 767 and Airbus A319/A320's.   I work on both Boeing and Airbus as part of my job and I am pleased that they will buy the new Boeing airplane.  My experiences with Airbus, yes it is a good airplane, but parts are more expensive and you have to get them from Airbus and they tend to be difficult to deal with.  With Boeing we can get the parts very easily, but with Airbus, we invariably have to get the parts from Airbus in France and that cost more money plus we get charged a VAT.  That adds up the total cost and as a personal quirk, I like the pilot to be in total command of the aircraft.  In 2009 when the miracle on the hudson happened, the plane involved was an Airbus A320-214 type of airplane.  When Capt Sully flew through the flock of birds, the pitot tube which measures air temperature and pressure inside the engine was clogged with bird guts and the computer immediately idled the engines, as it was programmed to do because it detected no air movement or pressure.   Capt Sully performed an incredible feat with a crippled airplane.  But I am of the mindset that if he was in a Boeing 737 instead, he would have landed at LaGuardia because the pilot being aware would have overidden the computer and the plane would have limped in and landed on a runway rather than a river landing.

Obungler fatigue

Obama Fatigue

By Alan Caruba

It occurred to me (and probably a lot of others as well) that it’s just over for Obama. It doesn’t matter that he intends to present yet another “plan” to get Americans working again after his Martha’s Vineyard vacation.

Whatever plan Obama puts forward will simply repackage his failed “stimulus”, his “tax the rich”, and other idiotic socialist notions of how to “fix” the economy. They didn’t work during the Great Depression and will not work now.

Like a female preying mantis that eats the head of the male who mates with her, just about everyone that has had any contact with Barack Obama suffers as a result. It didn’t matter if it was his white grandparents who took him in when his mother abandoned him---after having gone through two husbands. It didn’t matter if it was his longtime pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, in whose church he learned the fundamentals of black liberation theology. He has a habit of abandoning or denying relationships. His marriage appears to be the exception.

Presidents, though, are judged on their accomplishments and Obama has so few it’s becoming an embarrassment. Like the woman who told him she was “exhausted” from trying to defend him, a lot of die-hard liberals are looking for cover as he hits the campaign trail to secure the nomination for a second term. If there is such a thing as an honest Democratic Party consultant or strategist, they would surely tell you that Obama is going to be overwhelmingly defeated.

A former Louisiana Governor, Edwin Edwards, famously said that the only way he could be defeated was if he was found in bed with a live boy or a dead girl. The only way the Republican candidate will be defeated would involve similar indiscretions. That has not stopped liberal scum from advertising for “dirt” on Gov. Rick Perry.

This is likely to be one of the dirtiest, if not the dirtiest, campaign ever waged against whoever is the Republican choice to run against Obama. That’s the “Chicago way.”

Come September, policy wonks will be looking to see what Obama has to say about the one issue that will surely defeat him, unemployment. Let me save you some time, the ill-famed “stimulus” devoted much of its billions as transfers to states so teachers, police and fireman could be retained and pensions paid, to ill-fated “green” enterprises, and to a few infrastructure projects after Obama discovered there weren’t many that were “shovel ready.”

The other part of his plan was to expand the size of the federal government through the creation of some truly monstrous bureaucracies such as those associated with Obamacare and the passage of the Dodd-Frank oversight of banks and financial firms.

Simply stated, government does not create jobs in the private sector. It just creates government jobs. Even The New York Times took note of a Brookings Institution report that found “clean-technology jobs accounted for just two percent of employment nationwide.”

To which I say, “Duh!” If you want to know where solar panels and wind turbines are manufactured, Google CHINA. In the U.S., they are merely assembled for sale. So-called “green” companies are filing for bankruptcy with predictable frequency, taking taxpayer subsidies and grants with them.

What I confess I find astonishing are the continuing reports of the President’s fund-raising success. Notably Obama has already scheduled far more such events than the last four presidents who preceded him. Hollywood gives gobs of money and so does Wall Street. The latter has always struck me as odd if only because it represents a hotbed of capitalism while, in reality, its denizens tend to be raving liberals.

What worries me more than anything else about President Obama is the fact that he has sixteen months left in which to inflict as much damage on the economy and the nation’s future as possible. I have little doubt that is his intent.

He just issued an Executive Order as an end-run around the illegal alien amnesty issue that Americans have defeated a half dozen times when Congress tried to get it passed. The new fuel economy standards his administration has announced will add an average of $11,000 to the cost of buying a new car.

Another recent executive order tells the heads of departments and agencies to make sure their hiring practices involve “diversity” which is another way of saying pass on qualified whites and hire blacks and Hispanics. His Supreme Court appointee, Sonia Sotomeyer, once ruled that a local fire department had to lower its hiring standards because no blacks passed its application exam. Whatever happened to color blind hiring?

A President is expected to provide leadership and Obama has provided none, domestic or foreign.

Americans cannot begin to fathom how much other nations around the world look to America to set the tone and provide direction in the conduct of their affairs with each other. We have seen what happens when foreign leaders and troublemakers conclude the President of the United States of America can be ignored with impunity.

America is experiencing Obama Fatigue. He has worn out everyone with endless speeches. The man lies. He lies all the time. He lies more than Bill Clinton during the awful Monica Lewinsky scandal or Richard Nixon during Watergate.

His job plan will be another lie, another pathetic liberal concoction in which the government just spends more money it does not have. Or worse, intends to tax people for money they cannot spare.

Non government logic

I LIKE THIS LOGIC!
If you can answer this correctly, you can answer the question on what action to take on raising the Federal debt ceiling.

You come home from work and find there has been a sewer backup and you have sewage up to your ceilings.

What do you do……raise the ceilings, or pump out the shit?

The Incredible Insensitivity of the Vacationer-In-Chief

The narcissism of our 44th President continues unabated
A sun-soaked relaxer-in-chief spent close to five hours at a private Edgartown beach with the first family yesterday — still with no plans to cut the presidential vacation short while other islanders heeding the threat of Hurricane Irene packed up paradise and high-tailed it to the mainland. ...
Vineyard hotel managers urged guests to plan their exits as soon as possible, and emergency officials told locals to stock up on four days of food and water.
The Obamas, meanwhile, enjoyed a low-key day amid the white sands and tall waves of the private Pohogonot beach. The president did convene a conference call with emergency officials for an Irene update earlier in the day.
He had no plans to leave Martha's Vineyard early — even as emergency crews mobilized around him.
As local citizens and emergency management officials work frantically to secure homes and businesses against approaching Hurricane Irene, the Obama family continues to frolic in the sun and obstruct emergency preparation efforts.
Are they completely immune to the needs of others? The longer Michelle and Barack soak up the sun, the less time the private property owner has to prepare for a storm that is described as an "extrordinary threat" to the Northeast and New England. If the Obama's do decide to leave, it will be at the last possible moment.
In doing so, they increase the danger to their drivers and Secret Service details, their jet and helicopter crews, the White House support staff that must travel with the President.
They increase the danger to local employees who must come in behind the dallying President and his  $10 million dollar wife, who must try to secure the property against gale-force winds and driving rain and storm surge, and then somehow scamper themselves to safety as Irene roars up the coast.
The lives of average Americans they put in harm's way are but an afterthought to the Michelle Antoinette and our golf-mad President.
May history remember them as the failures they are.

Comparing Obungler and a sack of hammers...

I work on weekends so it is difficult for me to post, I used the work computer to post Andrew Klaven.

I got this from PJ Media

President Barack Obama is an Ivy League-educated man of considerable intelligence and ambition who has surrounded himself with numerous experts to help in his decision-making. With these advantages, he has tried a number of things to help the country domestically and in the area of foreign affairs. But at the end of the day, how does Obama’s efficacy in office compare to that of a sack of hammers?
It’s somewhat difficult to judge the performance of a president with all the factors that need to be considered and trying to figure out the president’s effect on them, but perhaps the best way to accurately assess the effectiveness of a president is to judge him against the expected performance of a sack of hammers in a similar situation (which is known as the “Coolidge Test”). Basically, the question is: Instead of electing the current president, would the country have been better off taking a burlap sack to Ace Hardware, filling it with approximately one hundred dollars worth of hammers, and placing that in the Oval Office?
As long as it’s an old burlap sack and the hammers were made in America, this is a perfectly constitutional option for president. It’s never been tried, though, so it only exists as a hypothetical. Nevertheless, the nature of a sack of hammers is pretty easy to predict, so we can accurately assess how it would have performed in similar situations versus the more ambitious and active people who tend to be elected president. So let’s go through the issues that Barack Obama has dealt with and, in as fair and balanced a manner as possible, determine whether he has performed better, worse, or about the same as a sack of hammers.
Stimulating the Economy
The obvious first problem President Obama had to deal with when taking office was the failing economy. The economy is dictated by more factors than a human mind could ever hope to comprehend or control, so obviously this is an area where a sack of hammers tends to excel. But Obama, much like other presidents filled with meat and goo instead of hammers, felt compelled to react to the crisis by doing something drastic, even when the situation was beyond his comprehension. Thus Obama spent an exorbitant amount — throwing billions of dollars around in a panicked and haphazard fashion, hoping some of that money would lead to economic growth and job creation. The results we see now are a further depressed economy with no near-term hope of recovery, plus increased debt which adds to the country’s instability.
In the same situation, a sack of hammers would not have panicked. It seems to better understand that a president can’t actually create jobs or improve businesses and thus would simply stay out of the way and let the complex economy solve its own problems through the process of capitalism. This would have created an atmosphere of much greater stability while also not adding enormous amounts to our debt. The only strike against a sack of hammers is that it would have let the Bush tax cuts automatically expire, but overall its calmer, steadier approach to the economy would have had many more advantages than Obama’s frantic approach.
JUDGMENT: Obama does much worse than a sack of hammers in stimulating the economy.
Health Care
This is an area in which pretty much everyone agrees reform is needed, but a sack of hammers would have no interest in changing the status quo. Of course, after ObamaCare, Americans would love to return to that status quo and shed the new, expensive legislation and its negative effects on jobs.
JUDGMENT: Obama does worse than a sack of hammers on health care.
Gulf Oil Spill
The Gulf oil spill is one of the few areas in which Obama employed the same strategy as a sack of hammers, doing nothing for a few weeks. Eventually, he became engaged in the issue and threatened to put together a panel of experts so he’d know “whose ass to kick.” A sack of hammers, on the other hand, never listens to experts.
JUDGMENT: A virtual tie. If you value false bravado, you can give a slight edge to Obama over a sack of hammers.
Middle East Conflicts
A sack of hammers is an isolationist at heart, as it has little interest in getting involved in foreign conflicts. Still, it would have left the current conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq in the hands of the generals. This is in contrast to Obama, who made his own demands on troop levels beyond the recommendations of the generals.
The main difference between Obama and a sack of hammers would be in Libya. A sack of hammers would never have started a new conflict there.
JUDGMENT: Mixed. A sack of hammers would certainly have been better at not inserting politics into military decisions in our current wars, but the final judgment comes down to whether one considers intervention in Libya important. If you do, you can give a slight edge to Obama, but if you’re against new conflicts in the Middle East, a sack of hammers is clearly the better choice.
Leadership
Many people consider leadership to be important to a presidency, and a sack of hammers would have absolutely no interest in this role. It would never consider rousing the American people to action or trying to enact social change; instead it would just sit out of the way and let everyone do their own thing.
Barack Obama has at least tried to be a leader. He’s given numerous speeches — something a sack of hammers would never do — and attempted to inspire people at times. The end results haven’t been great, and mainly people are just annoyed when he interrupts their TV shows, but at least he’s trying.
JUDGMENT: Obama does somewhat better than a sack of hammers at being a leader.
Foreign Relations
Obama has tried to improve relations with other nations with mixed results. Some of our closest allies, such as the British, have felt snubbed at times, and despite Obama’s outreach to Muslims, America’s popularity in the Middle East has dropped. Also, Obama has done odd things like bow to foreign sovereigns, which has undermined America’s image of authority.
A sack of hammers would be extremely aloof toward foreign leaders. This might seem negative at times, but one of the best ways to assert dominance is to ignore others. In this way, many foreign leaders would probably come to respect — and perhaps slightly fear — the sack of hammers and its mysterious, unreadable attitude.
It seems unlikely that a sack of hammers would receive a Nobel Peace Prize like Obama, but who in the world knows how those people think?
JUDGMENT: Obama is slightly worse than a sack of hammers in the area foreign relations.
The Debt
The debt has been a huge problem for the country for some time. In fact, to even consider balancing the budget we will need drastic cuts to many entitlements. Obviously, a sack of hammers is averse to doing anything labeled “drastic” and would have just left spending at its current level. This seems bad, but it’s much better than President Obama, who has only added to the annual deficit while in charge. With a sack of hammers, it is unlikely that by now spending would have increased to the level that caused our credit downgrade with S&P.
Also, long term, the sack of hammers’ strategy would have forced a balanced budget, as it would never considering raising the debt ceiling. This would have forced many budget cuts before the debt limit was ever reached.
JUDGMENT: Obama does immensely worse than a sack of hammers in the area of the national debt.
Overall
Taking all these areas into consideration, it’s pretty easy to see that a sack of hammers would be a much better president than Obama. This isn’t to say that Obama is dumber than a sack of hammers — a ridiculous assertion — it’s just to say that he’s much worse at being a president than one.
Of course, this is all hypothetical, as you’ll never find a sack of hammers with the fire in the belly necessary to both run for president and win. Perhaps that’s a problem in our system of democracy that someone like a sack of hammers, who would be an above average to great president, could never be elected.
Interestingly, the place where a sack of hammers would excel the most would be the post presidency. If you’re Habitat for Humanity and want to build a bunch of houses, which would be more useful to you: another Jimmy Carter or a sack full of hammers?

Dog keeps watch over fallen SEAL casket during funeral

I got this from here

Here is a pic of them together

Pic Of The Day: Dog Keeps Watch Over Fallen SEAL’s Casket During Funeral…

If this doesn’t tug at your heart strings then you’re not human (or a liberal).

(Blaze) — Petty Officer Jon T. Tumilson was laid to rest Friday in Rockford, Iowa, where an estimated 1,500 mourners came to pay respects for the fallen Navy SEAL, including his dog Hawkeye. In fact, Hakeye’s loyalty to his owner at the funeral was visible, creating a heart-wrenching image as he laid down by the casket of his owner during the entire service.
The 35-year-old Tumilson died Aug. 6, when a rocket-propelled grenade disabled the helicopter he was in. It crashed, killing 30 Americans and eight Afghans. Fellow Navy SEALS told KIMT-TVthat Jon was someone with unmatched work ethic and character.

Border Pics

As those that have been reading my blog for a while know that I was in the U.S Army, and served all of my 6 years overseas( excepting basic and AIT)   We had a discussion with the building of the wall on Berlin the barricades that separated West Germany from East Germany.  Here was the post I did last week.    This was the post I did back in March.  I talked about my time in Germany during the fall of the wall.  I have a bunch of pictures I had taken during my time patrolling the border.  I was border qualified to operate inside the 1K zone.  I had just the border basic stuff.  2nd ACR who was responsible for the 1 K zone in VII Corp area of Germany was very strict, we had drills, rollouts, alerts, ete all the time in the little border garrisons.  I remember spending a lot of time at the border post called"Hof"   There was another one, but for the life of me I cannot remember.   I was with 1st Inf div (fwd) in Geoppingen at Cooke Barracks.   If you liked soldering, it was a good duty station.  We spent a lot of time in exotic places like Hohenfels, WildFlecken and the rotations for border duty.  Well I got my scanner working so I figured I would post a few pics.   Once I figure out a way to set up a separate link on my blog to a folder or something I will upload more.

This pic was taken toward a town, I have forgotten the name, but the border was a "wet border"  you can see the wall inside the border.  Most of the town was deserted, the Vopo's didn't want to take a chance of anybody leaving the workers paradise.  Those that did live there had family living in the interior and their family would pay the price if they escaped to the west.
That was the actual border with the border markings on it.
There was one of the Guard Towers, we didn't wave or acknowledge them.  According to rumint(rumor intelligence) if you waved at them, they would take your picture, adjust a few things and mail the pic to the Commander SACEUR or something like that.  It wouldn't be good.    I will add more pics once I finish tweaking my scanners settings.

Obungler and his upcoming jobs bill

"The president is planning to unveil his new jobs proposals -- in September. Why wait until after Labor Day? Wouldn't it be neat to think, as we approach Labor Day, that the administration had a forward-looking plan in place right now? I think the 25 million unemployed or underemployed Americans would be especially excited to hear of a plan before they have to shell out for the kids' new school shoes. One of the trial balloons currently being floated is that the president will announce a new Department of Jobs. This has got to be a joke. ... If the function of the U.S. Secretary of Commerce is to promote job creation and economic growth, it sure seems that -- how can I say this charitably? -- this distinguished public servant has been falling down on the job of late. Like the last two and a half years. If I were Mr. Obama's Commerce Secretary, I'd want to get out of town, and fast. In fact, that's exactly what Sec. Gary Locke did. Having done such yeoman's work in promoting job creation and economic growth here, Gary Locke was recently sworn in as our Ambassador to China. Now, there's a jobs plan! If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. ... Maybe he can persuade them to buy more American flounder. We have entirely too much American floundering here and on Martha's Vineyard." --columnist Ken Blackwell

Awesome pic of my favorite airplane

Black Seas fleet will receive new aircraft

I got this from one of my airplane sources.  it does have me concerned with the recent russian militarism and Putin wanting to return the Russians back into the romping, stomping, red army.  With us retreating from the world stage, the Russian and Chinese are expanding.
Post image for Black Sea Fleet will receive new aircrafts Russian Black Sea fleet in the next three years will receive not only the new frigates, corvettes and submarines, but also 12 new aircrafts Su-30 CM. They will replace the front-line bomber Su-24, which nowadays are based at the airfield Guards (Crimea).
This is a new modification of the Su-30 MKI, which is capable to gain speed up to 2.1 thousand miles an hour and to fly to a distance of three thousand kilometers. Combat radius of the Su-30 cm is 1.5 thousand kilometers. The aircraft can carry a gun with a total weight of up to eight tons. Earlier it was reported that in 2012, naval aviation was expecting the first batch of new deck-based fighters Mig-29K.
“The first four MiG-29K can be supplied already in 2012. The Armament Department just should make a contract with the weapons industry for the construction and purchase of these aircrafts,” – said the commander of Naval Aviation Navy, General Major Igor Kozhin in an interview to Dni.ru. “But if this does not happen the new aircrafts will be able to get in the combat system of Naval Aviation only in 2013” – he added.

London Olympics

I shamelessly borrowed this from here

If you want to see what a disarmed society looks like, look no further than England.

Thousands of angry, drunk, violent thugs running wild and stealing anything they can carry. Shopkeepers and homeowners crippled with fear, unable to defend their loved ones or their property. Innocent citizens forced to watch helplessly while their life’s dreams — everything they worked so hard to build and acquire — are carried out the door, or smashed to pieces, or burned to the ground.

Men, women and children forced to strip naked in the streets, while packs of criminals laugh and ridicule them before making off with their clothing.

The fact is, when British politicians stripped their citizens of their God-given right to self-defense, they robbed them of their freedom and their dignity.

Sales of baseball bats are up over 5,000% on Amazon.co.uk. This isn’t to mark the beginning of little league season. These are desperate homeowners and shopkeepers purchasing the best - and in reality, only - self-defense tool that the British government will allow them to own . . . at least for now.

If past is prologue, this flood of baseball bats into London will spark cries from government leaders for mandatory bat registration and a wave of new laws on how, when, and under what circumstances British citizens may carry or swing a bat. After all, this is exactly how British citizens lost their gun rights.

First came mandatory gun licensing. Next came a wave of restrictions on firearms ownership. Then came the outright gun bans.

It has been illegal to own a handgun in Britain for nearly 15 years. As a result, Britain’s violent crime rate has soared. In fact, Britain consistently clocks-in with the highest violent crime rate in all of Europe. Last week’s riots notwithstanding, you are six times more likely to be mugged in London than in New York. These are the inconvenient statistics that the gun-ban crowd likes to sweep under the rug.

As if banning handguns didn’t send a strong enough message to criminals that British citizens are ripe for the picking, the British government went even further in 1999.

Recall the tragic story of Tony Martin, the British farmer who was awakened one night to the sound of breaking glass and found two burglars in his home. Martin had been robbed six times before. This time, he went downstairs, retrieved a shotgun, and fired at the intruders.

For this, Martin received life in prison for killing one of the burglars, ten years for wounding the other thug, and one additional year for possession of an unregistered shotgun. The wounded burglar served just 18 months of a three-year sentence and was given $5,000 in legal assistance from Britain’s Legal Services Commission so he could sue Martin for violating his civil rights.

budget stuff and debt ceiling stuff

I got this from GOC

From now thru November 2012 this should be required weekly BY ALL WHO VOTE!!! Did you notice whom Obama threatened when he wasn't getting his way on raising the debt ceiling?
He threatened to not pay: Social Security Retirees, Military Retirees, Social Security disability and Federal Retirees.
He did not threaten to stop payments to illegal aliens.
He did not threaten to take frivolous benefits such as Internet access away from violent inmates.
He did not offer to fire some of the thousands of unnecessary federal employees that he hired.
He did not offer to cut down on his or his wife's frivolous gallivanting around.
He did not threaten to not pay the senators and representatives or any of their staff...in fact, he unnecessarily RAISED their pay!
And these incompetent boobs are overpaid as it is! Their pay should be cut drastically until they learn how to balance a budget and I'm talking about both parties here as they were both at fault. They should be able to live off the bribes they receive by special interests. Republicans borrowed and spent as well and Chimpy McHalliburton Bushitler didn't learn how to use the veto pen until the Dims took over Congress and even then, he didn't use it enough. Granted, the Dims under Obungler have made the Republicans look like pikers but that doesn't excuse them for passing a bloated agriculture bill and a bloated transportation bill during Chimpy's first term.
He did not threaten to take benefits away from welfare recipients.
Of course not. That's the core constituency of the Dimocrat Party. Dimocrats love poor people. That's why they create so many of them and keep them poor. But being poor in the US is a lot easier than being poor in other countries. Our "poor" would be considered rich in most African nations. Our social "safety net" has become a hammock.
He did not threaten the food stamp programs. He did not threaten to not pay foreign aid.
He did not threaten to cut back on anything that involves his base voters.
The list could go on and on.
He is in full political re-election mode!
Why are we allowing this person to destroy this wonderful country with his selfishness and his lies?
His type of change is killing our country.
He needs to be stopped and only our votes can stop him.
Do not forget about his tactics when it's election time.
Vote Obama out of the Presidency in 2012.
2012 - THE END OF AN E R R O R !!!!!
And vote! It will take a lot of live voters to overcome all of the dead Democrats who will be voting.

Israeli-Arab Crisis Approaching

In September, the U.N. General Assembly will vote on whether to recognize Palestine as an independent and sovereign state with full rights in the United Nations. In many ways, this would appear to be a reasonable and logical step. Whatever the Palestinians once were, they are clearly a nation in the simplest and most important sense — namely, they think of themselves as a nation. Nations are created by historical circumstances, and those circumstances have given rise to a Palestinian nation. Under the principle of the United Nations and the theory of the right to national self-determination, which is the moral foundation of the modern theory of nationalism, a nation has a right to a state, and that state has a place in the family of nations. In this sense, the U.N. vote will be unexceptional.
However, when the United Nations votes on Palestinian statehood, it will intersect with other realities and other historical processes. First, it is one thing to declare a Palestinian state; it is quite another thing to create one. The Palestinians are deeply divided between two views of what the Palestinian nation ought to be, a division not easily overcome. Second, this vote will come at a time when two of Israel’s neighbors are coping with their own internal issues. Syria is in chaos, with an extended and significant resistance against the regime having emerged. Meanwhile, Egypt is struggling with internal tension over the fall of President Hosni Mubarak and the future of the military junta that replaced him. Add to this the U.S. withdrawal from Iraq and the potential rise of Iranian power, and the potential recognition of a Palestinian state — while perfectly logical in an abstract sense — becomes an event that can force a regional crisis in the midst of ongoing regional crises. It thus is a vote that could have significant consequences

General motors...er I mean Gubment motors ripping off consumers.

With thanks to Irish

A bit of background on me, I worked for Ford Motor company for 13+ years, as an assembler and a shop steward( Yes I have a lot of stories about unions). when my plant closed, I had the option of transferring, to Louisville Kentucky where the Super duty is built and the Explorer which would mean that I wouldn't see my family since my wife wasn't going to move and family is more important than the job.   I took the severance package.  I then found gainful employment where I am at now.  I do not hate my past employer Ford Motor Company, they treated well in a bad situation.  I still have my stock and will buy another Ford when the time comes to replace one of my existing Fords.  Ford motor mortgaged themselves to the hilt to finance their own restructuring.  They refused government help and I was very pleased that they did not accept tax payer assistance.  GM and Chrysler abased them selves to Obungler who helped them screw every else over and  reward the democrap base with a major stake in the company.

The transformation of General Motors (GM) to Government Motors (GM) has cost a lot of Americans a lot of money.
Many, many of them under questionable and in fact illegal circumstances.
Let us begin with the $50 billion ‘We the People’ were forced to “invest” in General Motors – including a $30 billion Barack Obama bump so as to give his Administration greater sway in how things would subsequently go down.

We were originally told – by Obungler himself – that we would make money on the bailout. Now we’re told we’ll lose somewhere between $11 and $14 billion (and given the stock market,s long slow slide maybe even more).

And about which we were lied to by the administration. Which said this titanic loss of coin is less than they were expecting – just seven months after Obama his own self said we’d turn a profit.
Then there was the 2009 GM bankruptcy filing (which we were told our $50 billion would forestall – oops).

Carl Davis "Kungfu fighting"

I remember listening to this song on the radio with my parents.  I remember the drive to south carolina to charleston to turn the family car over for shipping to Germany since my Dad had received orders PCS'ing Frankfurt.

Now this song was the first video played by MTV when they went on the air.  I remember seeing this song played a few times when there were the "night train" special;s on TBS that played music video's for several hours.  Back then video's were the new and up and coming thing.  How they are normal even taken for granted.  But back "in the day"  it was a whole new format

"Buggello's "Video killed the radio star"

And finally the song that defined the MTV generation.
